Love the idea of this AP! Love that it starts with orcs, as Paizo hasn't done anything with orcs yet, and I've been truly missing them!
Probably the only thing I'm not excited about is the book with hill giants . . . I know they are a staple, but that's the one type of giant I feel has been overplayed, and, well, they're just boring. With so many different giants in Golarion that are incredibly awesome, I'd rather see hill giants replaced. However, I can understand the old school thought that pushes for the inclusion of hill giants, so it really doesn't dissuade from my excitement of this AP!
Once upon a time, we thought goblins were boring too.
Let's see what we can do with hill giants before we call them boring, is all I'm saying.

There will be more than just hill giants in the "hill giant adventure" - there will still be some orcs, some ogres, maybe even a marsh giant...

Rob, if you do half as good with the atmosphere in the giantslayer AP as you did with Osirion in risen, i'd be addicted.
Has anyone consulted with Runelord Zutha?

After finally finishing Gm'ing Rise of the Runelords (2+ years) for my weekly group (Amazing series in my opinion), I was a little disappointed in Giant slayer, but only because I just spent a few years with my PC's battling them in Runelords. That said, I like the premise and I'm looking forward to Giantslayer. I like classic tales, and the Paizo staff/writers always do a great job in updating the classic tropes, and adding unique twists. Besides I have yet to be disappointed by one of their AP's, and I've wanted to peer into Belkzen for quite a while. It would be nice if we got a taste of Janderhoff as well.
Perhaps I can find another player to GM Giantslayer. I'd love to take a break and sit on the other side of the table for once, and I do love dwarven PC's, so this may be the AP for me.
Well now my group is off to Crimson Throne for a bit of Urban shenanigans. As a DM I must be a glutton for punishment, because I keep running all the 3.5 version AP's (was in book 5 on runelords when the anniversary edition came out). Before I dive into the conversion work for Crimson throne, has there been any whispers/hints/rumors of an anniversary edition in the near future?

Mr. Jacobs, your work has thus far been phenomenal, and I've appreciated a great deal the job that yourself and Mr. McCreary have done with the APs. I own every one of them to date, in fact, except Crimson Throne, because a friend of mine purchased that one.
So, please don't take this as a disrespectful comment when I say that I have seen what you have done with hill giants. There are numerous adventures out there that highlight them, a couple that feature them, and I've also purchased Giants Revisited, which has hill giant culture fleshed out in it. All that I've seen on this particular type of giant has not impressed me -- not anything close to the wondrous makeover you gave to goblins, especially!
Thus, my assessment on hill giant boredom stands . . . Though I'm more than open to being proven wrong on this account in the future! If anyone has the potential to do so, I have no doubt it'd be the Paizo crew.

Does anyone know if the panel seminar was recorded and uploaded to the interwebs? I really enjoyed watching the discussion from last year.
There were audio recording devices on every table that I was a panelist at (courtesy of Know Direction), so I imagine it's just a matter of time before those are uploaded for public consumption.

Fair enough. Maybe you'll need to make some changes when you get to "The Hill Giant's Pledge." Although I hope you'll still check it out, since every author brings the opportunity for something new.

Spill the beans Daigle! We know you where there! We know you have the answers! So why don't you cut to the chase and cease this fairy tale homage.

I hope this means that this AP will have one new giant per AP volume in it's bestiaries:)
I considered that, but I really didn't want to water down the giant pool. I'm of the mind that we have quite enough giants, but that's not to say that there won't be a few new ones sprinkled through the bestiaries. I'm just picky about them.

However, if a GM wants to hack the AP in that way, I'd love to read the campaign journal.
Hodor!

Huh. First Iron Gods totally Barrier Peaks'd me.
Now it seems Giant Slayer will Against the Giants me.
Nice work. Two totally iconic adventure paths in a row. Neither one is weird, nor is it a weird followed by a regular AP. Just awesomeness followed by awesomeness.
And Ice Tomb of the Giant Queen is reminiscent of the first ever published/3PP adventure Palace of the Vampire Queen. I'm playing that now in a PbP and
About the only thing left would be either a Sentinel/Gauntlet mashup or some weird adventure down a rabbit hole with crazed talking animals and insane royalty. Or the moody excellence of X4-X5. I do love me some Sinister Secrets of Saltmarsh etc, but I'm hoping Marc Radle's sahuagin adventure for Raging Swan Press scratches that itch...

i never thought of Patrick Renie as an adventure writer, Larry Wilhelm is somewhat new to me (mostly he does PFS mods and way finder stuff?), great to see Tim again:) his adventures have always been fun to run (i know Racing to Ruin gets bad reviews but it was one of the funnest adventure i've run yet:) can't wait to see what Jim and SKR do with higher level stuff and Tito is always brilliant:)so high hopes:)
however no Richard Pett, Brandon Hodges, Amber Scott or Crystal Frasier? how can you have an Adventure Path without ANY of them?
and i do have concerns with 2 rookies starting it out.
like i said tho high hopes:)
