There are some cool and funny names there. I'm not even sure if I'm going to vote for one of my own submissions.

My vote's been cast.
Thanks for taking point on all this, Malrunwa. It's good that we have a persistent contact person for these things.

Made it to Tavernhold last night. Who's looking to party?
Whenever I log in, I'll start asking in General chat whether any Tavernhold members are online. I was doing so at first, but the answer was always no, so I stopped. I think this is a good time to start asking again.
Cool!
I like the two maces. :)
I do too. It'd be even better if all the animations worked.
Sorry about last night's run, my internet died for about an hour.
Poll will close in one day! VOTE!
Finally made it to the settlement last night!
Welcome home! Quite a hike, isn't it?

Now we can officially create our companies! Happy day.
Miksi officially created The Outsiders company in game today!
Went to sleep in Tavernhold woke up south of Phaeros!
lol , one of the Keeper crafters has just switched to Tavernhold, she would have loved the opposite teleport instead of all that walking I am sure :D
Should I walk over to KotC and offer highland product while your KotC fellow can harvest Coal for you. I brought 100 Coal down here at one point. I wonder if the coal disappeared later.
Do you have coal over there in the flats ? The only coal we have is from middens down near Phaeros.
about a week ago I brought 100 coal to sell/trade for spells. I found no market in KotC so sold them a deep discount in Brighthaven for 5 or 6 spells. BankBot, I think.
Yeah the AH at Keepers Pass is not really used much. The majority of Keeper's are taking a fairly laid back/stealth approach to Alpha and intend to front up in full force once EE starts.
The main consumers of coal at KP at present would be myself Nimitz and Daela so you are better off trading directly with one of those three.
Not quite sure what 100 coal would be worth to a beginner crafter as 100 coal plus 100 iron would make around 4 or so Pot plate +0 which would sell for maybe 80c - 100c per armor ?
Assuming you made 400 c and wanted a 10% profit that leaves 360 c for mats so about for 180c coal the coal and 180c for the iron. That only works out at 2c per coal though you could possibly get 4 or so each. That is not a huge profit if you are delivering from Tavernhold.
TEO do tend to make good/trades for coal and iron as they are running all sorts of crafting experiments and are always running out.
Yeah, I've personally been busy with RL affairs and the alpha has taken a back seat in the meantime. EE however still has me exited to get progress in when I'm more sure I won't be constantly harassed by frequent DCs, teleports, and loss of time/training/xp.
I'd also like to see more focus on the ACE roles before I dig my teeth in. To me the market is in a pretty borked state and I worry that the intended persuasions to keep PCs from congregating wholly in TK and NPC cities are not enough to make players try to really find a dedicated home settlement if they dont want to play the PvP role in the WoT.
ACE roles? I don't recognize that acronym.
Aristocrat-Commoner-Expert. Coined, I believe, by our own Proxima.
Thank you, Jazzlvraz.
That's a useful coinage. Thanks, Proxima.
Regarding pricing: I estimate about 5c per for T1 raw materials that are sourced locally, because that makes the reward per hour about the same for gathering as hunting. I figure finished goods prices will be based on material and time cost, but haven't figured how to quantify time cost.

I figure finished goods prices will be based on material and time cost, but haven't figured how to quantify time cost. The issue with finished goods being factored around material cost is +3 T1 components only use slightly more raw mats than +0 . If cost of gathered mats is the main factor in the price for crafted goods there will be virtually no market for +0 and +1 crafted items as they will cost almost as much as +2 and +3 .
They will have (raw) material and (total) time costs about 10% and 15% lower.
Time costs are more different because it is faster to refine and faster to craft lower-quality stuff.
I also don't think it's wrong for the market price to be only moderately higher for +2 gear. The benefit to having it is fairly small in most cases.

Yeah true - though +2 armor is def worth having. It is the T2 and T3 gear that will have the serious benefits.

Hey folks, a quick post to apologize for my absence ingame. I am having some RL issues, and some computer issues I hope to have both resolved soon.

Probably too late now for this weekend. Why don't we organize an escalation bash over in your turf for next Saturday? Anyone interested?
The quest timers should be longer after the patch. We might make a serious dent...

I'm always up for an escalation extravaganza. 48-72 hrs notice would likely drum up enough people, considering that 4-5 usually join in from calls in General.
If I can get internet access established by then, I'll be available all day Saturday and Sunday. I'd love to exterminate the Razmirans emanating from the badlands between Tavernhold and Talonguard.
I'm GMimg TT this Saturday but Sunday is looking good.

It's hard to get a good time to cover Oceana, US and Europe, but if we do:
10:00pm UTC on a Friday, that's
5:00PM EST
9:00AM Saturday Australia
Then people could join as they are available for a few hours. I would be at work for at least the first couple of hours, and it would be tough on the West-Coasters for the same reason, but by two or three hours in it might work.
Would everyone be alright with a more central local? Something like the Home hex 2 NW and 1 N of Rathglen? Or does the far west need more love?
We might get more to attend if we are more central-ish.
Yes we do need to start nailing down some time blocks. Gwalchmai's is not a bad start point. Although I am blind to these timezone things, that is 5pm EST on sat, right? Any other ideas?

Gwalchmai said Friday, but that same time might work even better on Saturday.
Like Bitter Thorn, I'll be running a tabletop game Saturday. Maybe we could have a secondary event on Sunday.
The hex near Rathglen sounds like a good place to start.
I'm shooting pool on Friday night, TT on Saturday, and Sunday works for me.
Anyone besides me and Karlbob good for Sunday? Nikki and Gwyndar can probably do Sunday too.
I have guests on Sunday, but they are driving from afar (arriving later) and they are notoriously shifty with plans. I can probably do some activity Sunday also, tentatively.
I'm working Saturday and not sure when I'll be free. If I get the chance, I'll try to join in. Sunday is open, at least until I hear something from my wife :)
