Acting in self-interest at the expense of others is generally considered evil.

Altruistic acts are generally considered good.

But, that being said, where one draws the line does vary from person to person. Some people are perfectly willing to trade the lives of an 'innocent'(non-related to the issue bystander) for their own, or their child's, or their clan's, or their country's.

"Caring for your child isn't love, it's bias."
(I don't remember where I heard that, sorry)

I wouldn't fault the vampire for wanting to live, all the same, I would do my level best to kill it as a threat to my family. In the same vein, I wouldn't fault a bear or cougar for going after my kid while we are hiking, but fault or no, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it in that situation.

But I've let this thread get out of control, I haven't been able to post as much as I've wanted to. Since things are getting heated, I wouldn't mind if a mod closed the thread, it's also been going into some dark places. Figures I come back after a few years and start a mess.

Barong, you didn't start a mess. Just because you set up a room, your not to blame for others coming in and trashing it.

Back to the topic of souls/parishioners, I like to think of it not so much as they forget everything that happened to them while alive, as it doesn't matter to them anymore.

As in all the memories you may have of your favorite stuffed animal or toy as a child probably don't mean enough to you as an adult to even warrant remembering. It is inconsequential to your current consciousness. Waiting an hour, or even 10 minutes for something when you are 6 is hard. Waiting days for something as an adult is nothing out of the ordinary.

99.9% of your life experiences mean nothing to your soul. They are no more meaningful than the 127th step on a 5 mile walk.

Not speaking for anyone else in my company, but I plan on being in-character most always when playing.

Yes. But I believe your Asmodean clerics prefer to fix problems like that with miniaturized flame strike spells.

Haha.

Love the Sneaker Pimps reference here.

Indeed, we are happy to have Kobold Cleaver join us. As well as start participating in loincloth Wednesdays.

How do we access the mumble server on your website. I have never used it before, and do not see a link or option for it.

Thank you

My wife has that books also. Cracked me up when I flipped through it.

On the Kabal issue, while I think most of us wish that we had been able to keep F, they took it fair and square both times. We were able to claim it back once, but it doesn't look like we will be able to this time. We had several discussions about merging, but in the end, there were too many issues we couldn't resolve to merge.

But, I believe we are on good terms, and hopefully we will be able to cooperate as neighbors in a mutually beneficial way. And if not, c'est la vie. We will deal with that when necessary.

Everyone, congratulations on bringing this exciting land rush to a close, and may you enjoy your settlement locations until OE.

Not even a sexy lady elf? Cuz I would! Maybe not if my wife was around though.

Can anyone help me with this question.

Say there is a NG settlement that specializes in Cleric and Wizard training and support.

Can a CG or LG cleric get the training and support they need from that settlement, or would they have to have a CG church in the NG settlement for domain support, or just have to find a CG cleric-focused settlement or just be SOoL.

Everyone will act like a dick at points, but don't let it become the feature that defines you to people, aka accidently acting like a dick doesn't mean you are a dick, but choosing to act that way, probably does.

That is my opinion on the matter. We are all human, and everyone will slip up occasionally, no big deal. Don't plan on it or try for it though, it will happen regardless, and the less you intentionally do it, the less people will think of you as such.

The Dream Seekers of Tavernhold are also signing our name to the Roseblood Accord, in show of support for our community's decision.

And while I cannot speak for all of Tavernhold, but as for the Dream Seekers, keeping our immediate area safe for travelers passing through is kinda our thing.

We are with you.

I agree with Civil or Civic Assets.

Yes. After much deliberation over the many tempting offers we had, we decided to join with our Caydenite brethren, and make Tavernhold our home base. Still, we welcome any fellow Desnan's to join both our group (at desnanseekers.enjin.com) and this wonderful, burgeoning settlement of Tavernhold.
