There should be a decent shakeup this week.
It sounds as if Elkhaven may be moving. It's been fun to compare writing to map to try to discern intent.
With the presence of Kabal, moving into 14th place (so far) from non-existence a week ago, you'll not be proved wrong, Virgil.

Week 10 isn't all that matters. For many of us, especially those of us with fewer than 50 members, the intervening time is about finding like-minded groups and forming alliances.
You also need to look at it more objectively.
The land rush isn't the be-all and end-all of the game. It's a PR tactic on the part of GW, to keep the attention of people who have been waiting for a year or more, (who may be getting a little restless) and generate interest and excitement among new people.
It shouldn't provide the winners a significant bonus, but needs to be worth getting people to convince their friends to plunk down money for EE.
Having a different opinion doesn't mean I'm not looking at it objectively, thanks. I'd simply prefer the process have a little more stability than it has.

Unfortunately, Toombs, stability can lead all-too-easily to stagnation, and then there'd be little point to there being a 10-week process. Unless the length of the process is, in itself, somehow a part of the problem, but I see that window at least somewhat dictated by the already-mentioned marketing benefit to Goblinworks.

Apologies if that sounded condescending.
I generally find that people are inclined to look at it from the point of view of the game, rather than the people who want to make money from the game.

In other news: YONAS - Ye Olde Nasty Adventuring Society, has apparently disbanded, taking away the six votes that had them in the Top 40. The Lightbringers are now officially on that bubble.
Does anyone know whether YONAS has joined another Settlement?
In the oh-so-close sweepstakes: Open Road has a pending vote they've not yet approved. If they do approve it before midnight, they'll jump into 28th place, knocking out Four Rivers Mercenary Corp, holders of Site T; if not, they'll miss out this week.
EDIT: corrected per Giorgo's input below.

...the lead of what I call the Third Pack.
For folks curious about the numbers there: two more votes will put Kabal in 8th, but they'll then need 12 votes past those to step up to 7th.
EDIT: all these notes are based on the simplification that the groups ahead of Kabal in vote-totals add no more. It's a simplification, and not an assumption, because it won't happen.
Very few groups in the Top 30 have remained stagnant, regardless of their position on the leaderboard.

Correct. They usually don't have anything ready (whether blogs, LR updates, or usually even any forum posts) until at least 10am PDT. My guess is that they get into the office between 8am-9am, then have a meeting on Monday morning at 9am that lasts up to one hour. From there, it's a crapshoot as to what time they begin posting things.

Yah. In Week 1, we had the Sick Toddler Effect; perhaps Lee recognised a bit of useful precedent-setting that allowed him time for some coffee while compiling results, as he gave us Week 2 half-an-hour later than he had Week 1.

The Bastard Sons of Daggermark have the fascinating distinction of being the only group to've occupied three different sites in the three weeks of the Land Rush: first A, then S, and now P.
Ah, they are just lookee-loos. Trying out various sites before deciding what they really want. :-)

Well, if you want a list of all 155 guilds currently listed through the Goblinworks website that updated every 15 minutes with membership in one long page view...
There's a bug where it mis-pulls the website link as the motto in groups that have 0 members, but I'll fix that tonight when I have some time.

Oooh... very useful! Also, takes the three Land Rush 1 winners out of the ranking while leaving them in member order. Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks.
