Morbis has opinion!
Morbis isn't sure if this is immediately necessary. I personally hope that the Fued/War/SAD systems will allow Settlements to claim effective ownership of Starmetal hexes without actually officially owning them. If that isn't the case, I think that the addition of FFA zones for high reward hexes might be a good idea.
Thornkeep will be available first, probably from the very start of EE. The map will expand south as EE continues, until Fort Inevitable is available. Then the map will expand outward, with Riverwatch being available last.
My guess is that it was written yesterday, but they didn't have enough time to push it out.

It's like watching high school girls catfight with each other! This is fantastic!
Personally I think that Andius is, like, a total slut. Did you see that she went out with James? I heard that she puts out, like, all the time.
Well that is an easier way to remember which is which.

Personally, I feel that these lyrics really capture my thoughts on PvP;
Quote: I'm the scatman
Ski bi di bi di do bap do
Do bam do
Bada bwi ba ba bada bo
Baba ba da bo
Bwi ba ba ba do [x2]
Some deep stuff there, man.
Yes, for $100 you will be able to have an active hand in the Crowdforging of the game.
Do you have Mr. Morbis?

It's one thing I'm definitely watching for, and it'll shape the first established opinions, of groups that do that, in the minds of Early Enrollees. I mean, AB is a very shiny looking hex...

I doubt anyone in the top 15 would turn down another five or six people.
This is actually something Golgotha talked about internally. There were a few people close by that we didn't much want close by, and we knew they were there because of their Hunker Down. We considered moving ourselves for a week, pushing them off, and then bringing in a more friendly group.
We ended up deciding that it wasn't something we thought right to do. I am curious what the rest of the community thinks.
Just for anyone curious, Golgotha wants W. Not sure we had made that clear... don't need to come spy on us.
I really, really hope that we can do some crowdforging on the crafting to make it interesting in itself, rather than the current system. The current one will do for now; Crafters will be plenty busy getting resources, sourcing materials, finding buyers and the like.
But I love games that have crafting systems that I can mess about with for an hour or two and actually have fun. Even if it was just a little mini-game that reduced the time of crafting would be cool.

You have selected Best Pony. Golgotha will allow you to live another day.
Huh. When I whacked a guard I am almost certain that the trainers went to "You are an a~~++++, no training for you". Maybe I am mistaken.

As someone that has actually played the game, I can say that I am happy with the current graphical fidelity of the game. The texture resolutions are higher than I was expecting, and mesh work on most assets is decent enough. There are a few things that I hope get improved (mostly character model assets), but all in all I could see myself playing the game and not constantly wishing that it looked better.
The gameplay that the developers have stated they intend to include doesn't support AAA level graphics. This is good enough for now.

I know that I appreciate it. It lets me see how Golgotha is doing in our recruiting efforts compared with everyone else.
To be fair, the vVv Gaming folk were also trying to outright infiltrate the larger organisations.
Yeah, you can leave and it automatically drops into your inventory when it is done.
At the moment, dying resets your crafting queue, so I have been hiding in town whenever I have anything going. Hopefully that gets fixed...
You get negative reputation for attacking guards. It is how I tanked mine on Murderhobo.
Don't make fun, I can't use full sized bows, and it's all we had in the back.
*cough* Why, what a fantastical story. Nothing like that could ever actually happen, of course.

Mmkay, so that is me done for the night. It's midnight, and I am back onto a normal sleep schedule. I'll be back streaming more tomorrow.
Today I; Tested the new guards! They are a lot better than before. Their ranged stun makes them annoying as all hell, and their faster run speed means they will catch you more reliably. I still think they could do with having a longer leash lane, or maybe a "I'm still in town, I'm going to keep chasing" behavior.
Tried some crafting! After a bit of a kerfuffle with the Tannery in the basic town being broken, I ventured out to the north and found one that had the recipes I need. We observed the effect that facility quality has on production time, and were all very impressed. At 50 quality, my ingots took 6 minutes each. At 150 quality, they only took 2 minutes each. That is quite the reduction!
Kited some ogres. The mob AI is still susceptible to being run around and shot in the face. As long as the mob doesn't have a ranged attack, you can kite them forever, taking very little damage. Not much fun when every encounter is solved the same way. I imagine that this will improve though, alpha is alpha.
So, has anyone successfully used the Tannery? Is there a +0 recipe anywhere?
Speaking of roaming, any chance you could make the guards in town patrol? Right now they are fairly easy to avoid. The buffs to them in the latest patch really helped, but there aren't enough of them for their current leash range. A patrol would help with that without increasing graphics load.
Also, stream is back up. Longest download ever.
So I had to drop the stream to download the latest client. I'll be back online when it is finished.
Once more into the fray! Stream is up!
Click!
Remember that they will also be expanding the Alpha as they go. From what I have heard, keys will be given out to people already in, and they can invite friends.
So go make bestest best friends with someone already in, and hope!
Right, so I got back. Now I am having issues. Is the server down?
So, I'm live. I'll be up for an hour or so, then I go out for an hour, and then I'll be streaming for the rest of the day.
Come spend your 4th of July with Morbis!
I just logged in, all good here.

Aww, my baby is all grown up!
Welcome to the mad house, MA.
Non-persistence is fine, as long as you still aren't limiting character generation. It would suck if I made a character, it bugs, and I can't create a new one. It seemed last week that you didn't restrict it at all.

Yup. I intend to be on my very best behavior. Know that this hurts me.

Is persistence in yet? Are we still resetting back down when we relog? Cause I wanna get into the crafting system, and that is kinda hard when I can't logout, even with the 1000 xp :p Noooooo! You are destined to challenge the NPC guards and the players! I have already ordered popcorn. :( Oh, I'll still be trying it out at first. Well, maybe not at first. I really don't want to mess with Paizocon people. That is not a good thing for people to experience on first contact with the game. At least last week the majority of people were already engaged with the mechanics, and knew the consequences of what I was doing. Random people walking into a room and sitting down won't have that.
Maybe I'll ask for a volunteer to be harassed.
Aww, now what am I supposed to do when I get bored? Though I am glad to see that my murderhobo'ing was for a good cause.

If anything, Morbis is the super secret leader of the Xeilian Empire. You shouldn't listen to Hobs about that Council stuff, he is a known liar. Not to be trusted.
So, UNC. Say you are out in the countryside and you see some random chaps SADing a group. Suddenly the bandits are attacked! They are outnumbered! But you could easily turn the tide with your awesome UNC-ness. What do you do!?

Plus, Ryan had stated the as time goes on graphic improvements will be made. This is alpha.
I will see about doing some local recording, let you see what we see on screen. My stream should be decent, but the game aesthetic isn't conducive to high quality streaming. Would need a huge bit rate for all that grass.
Can I buy EE accounts from you with Dogecoin?
I have a lot of Dogecoin, I could totally afford an account! It would slow me down on my mission to the moon though...
Ah! Oh god, stealth based sneak attack rules! *runs away to his safe and secure 4E*

Want to kill things? Want to kill lots of things? Want to kill so many things you start to be squished by all the things you killed?
Join Golgotha! We can make that work! Plus we can raise all the dead things and move them to the side to facilitate more efficient killing.
