In my experience, Gestalt just results in: full-casters being mixed with Fighter, or with another full-caster class.
But g$+@%$n is it fun. Count me in.
Actually, I was thinking something else. Like converting a monster from a certain game into a PC.
Well, there's a recruitment going on for one currently, though it's a dead-magic post modern apocalypse theme.
Admittedly I'm incredibly new at all this, but I have had some decent ideas and I'd like to put them together and try my hand at Gm'ing with the old sink or swim approach.
My Gestalt idea is kind of a twist, and will require some balancing real time to make it work: But you are all essentially brought from another universe into Golarion. You each pick a traditional class, then on top of that you have your "original powers" that came from your world. these can be modern or future tech (a ranger with a barrett .50cal and gunslinger traits), level one versions of comic book or movie heroes (Batman investigator with a spellcaster), Anime/manga (Soul reaper or Fullmetal alchemist magic), or even Characters with their own more traditional classes (Robin hood Ranger, Jack Sparrow or Captain hook as a swashbuckler)
Those are all just suggestions of course, and I'm afraid my summer schedule will make this rather difficult to really define soon, but I'm not bad with the stats and all that if you guys were willing to put up with my harebrained schemes and lack of anything substantial

my idea would be someone who ends up with necromancy powers in the new universe. his old powers would be either technomancy or maybe some sort of assassin. depends on if/what 3PP was allowed.
