Stuff I haven't done yet (and want to):

Bomb-chucking alchemist
(Anti)paladin on a (un)holy quest to cull all the chaotic evil races from the lands (so their souls will become legions of demons which s/he will take charge of upon his/her eventual demise).
Some kind of Guide ranger. Maybe sword and board shenanigans or simply switch-hitter
Something with words of power, though I may just get that tacked on to my current inquisitor.
Gunslinger/Oracle with the deaf curse
some kind of reach weapon build

Stuff I have done:
paladin/sorc/dragon disciple
spell sunder barbarian
quingong monk
melee inquisitor
hexcrafter magus
Summoner focused on buffing the eidolon
twf fighter/dragonrider (the 3.5 version) (never again, I would like the fact that I cannot roll more than one nat 20 a month to not mean I will never make a will save)
monk 1/druid X focused on battlefield control
archer bard heading into arcane archer

Other characters I am really interesting in playing include a Varisian Sorceress with "Inscribe Magical Tattoo". Not unlike the Iconic, actually.

A witch - I don't really know details on this character. I was thinking playing a half-orc, taking the scarred witch doctor archetype, and rolling with that. But maybe not now.

A barbarian who uses intimidate to mess up enemies.

And a Ranger who eventually becomes a Horizon Walker. That class is actually fairly strong when you really study it.

I like my Death Domain (or Undead Subdomain) based Clerics. Being the mortal representative of a dark Goddess (I prefer Urgathoa) and leading an army of the Undead (which you can start creating at a ridiculously low level) is such an evocative image to my mind. And blasting, via Channelling, your enemies while shouting "UNLIMITED POWER" is just fun!

Yes, in the Star Wars films, I rooted for Palpatine!

1. A third party class that looks really balanced and interesting, yet I won't get to play because of kneejerk reactions from a DM who hasn't even read it.

Have to admit some curiosity as to what this 3rd party class is.....

That was more a general statement regarding me getting to play with 3pp stuff in general, but off the top of my head here's a list of things I want to try and probably never will for the given reason:

1. Sublime Transmuter
2. Sacred Necromancer
3. Pact Magic Unbound
4. Psionics Unleashed
5. Some of master arminas' conversions: Warlock, Hexblade, and Tattooed Monk
6. Miscellaneous 3pp archetypes, such as from Epic Meepo and Maxximilius (most notably the Gun Magus or the Host Alchemist)

- Fighters
- Barbarians
- Wizards
- Rogues (multiclased with something else)

I suppose my favourites are Bards, but there's lots of classes I love. Almost all of them, actually.

Fighters. Fighters and fighter related characters. I know some people find them boring but I love the customization of having half a billion feats plus the archetypes are great. A lot of the fighter archetypes actually emulate other classes, which when you combine the fighters high feat count it turns into the best multiclass candidate available. Cad/Rouge, Dragoon/Cavalier, and my personal Favorite Brawler(Or unarmed fighter)/And master of many styles. I love the idea of a character that beats the crap out of beasts and sword wielding nights with his bare hands and the monk doesn't stack up to that. The brawler does that and then some.

Liberty's Edge

In the 10 years of my playing D&D then PF I have never played the Bard I love there fluff and the concept that they can play a "well Known" spy. But everytime we get together to play a game i go for my rogue/ninja kind of characters and forget to play the bard.

LOL they are turning into my Holy grail character. You guys have given me the itch to play a Bard.....hopefully ill remember to actually do it this time.

If it helps your case, Psionics Unleashed and Pact Magic Unbound are both legal in our group and we haven't had any complaints about the characters unbalancing anything. Pact Magic Unbound is actually almost a little bit behind the curve compared to core characters using the Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic supplements (basically, it's balanced to the CRB and doesn't reflect the slight rise in average power since).

Psionics only has issues when the players and/or GM don't fully understand the ruleset and someone is getting away with breaking the classes either via GM ignorance or intentional misuse. When played according to the rules they're very well balanced.

Ooh, which reminds me of the other class I want to play, the Cryptic from Psionics Expanded. It's like a hyper-logical psionic rogue who views everything as a puzzle from what I've read, which is actually really interesting to me.

Cleric. I get armor, I get spells, I get fighting ability, and all the roleplay diversity I could ask for.

1)Barbarian
2)Bard
3)Druid
4)Paladin
5)Sorcerer
6)Fighter

I love Monks for the concept but the mechanics are iffy. Given we play in high ability score games the MAD is not as bad as it might be otherwise.

Wizard/Cleric are always a favorite.

Paladins are always fun.

If I go gestalt - Monk/Sorcerer is one I love.

Bards, specifically core bards. Have played an archer based one, melee based one, and a pure party supporter. Never get bored with them. I usually GM, but when I play its hard to imagine not having Versatile Performance skills or Bardic Knowledge.

Played a combat maneuvers focused bard for Carrion Crown, and when we started the game the other players groaned and lamented that "bards suck". Made them eat their words thanks to multiple trips, disarms, and Ghostbane Dirge.

Also got a standing ovation for a courtroom monologue my character delivered in Trial of the Beast; good times.

For what its worth I think bards are the best rogues in the biz :P

Dark Archive

I wanted to post that I never cared for most of the core classes. I only found the Summoner and alchemists any good from the new classes, even then, the alchemist is only worth playing with ultimate book discoveries.

What I would really like to play are the old subsystems of 3.5, I miss playing Duskblade(magus is not good enough for me, nice but not right for me)with Psionics/Book of Nine Swords. I look forward to one day trying out Incarnum, dread necromancer and the warlock. Problem is, I find almost nobody up for using the backwards compatibility of Pathfinder.

Classes on my "to-do" list:

Monk (specifically Sohei and Tetori)
Core Druid (Caster and Shapeshifter on different occasions)
Core (maybe Invulnerable Rager too) Barbarian
Core Bard
Bad-Touch Cleric
Core Inquisitor
Core Magus
Possibly a Witch, though that comes last on the list.

Fighters. I love Fighters more than any other class. I played a Soulknife several years ago when a member of my group ran a couple of one shots, and was playing a Justicar, the spell-less version of the Inquisitor in my group, but then the guy who was DMing did as he has always done, which is run two or three sessions, flip out over some thing that only he seemed to understand, and will no longer play with us (after 20+ years). He was a horrible DM, anyway, but I enjoyed getting a very rare chance to be a player. That was 2 years ago and so I'm back to be being the sole DM again. I play a Bladebound Magus in a friend's very irregular game sessions (4 to 5 times a year), and I am enjoying that class.

But over all, for me it's Fighters, Fighters, and occasionally, Fighters.

1) Bard, Paladin.
2) Inquisitor (preacher archetype), Sorcerer, Ranger
3) I’d like to play an Oracle as well and try out the samurai and the Magus as well.

Silver Crusade

Summoners, Gunslingers, Witches, Paladins, Wizards, Sorceresrs, Oracles, Alchemists, Cleric...

I've enjoyed pretty much every class I've played

So the least likely classes thread got me curious: What are your favorite class(es) to play?

I'll get the ball rolling-
Cavalier. I love mounted combat, I love the way the cavalier integrates into the fantasy setting, and I love coming up with unique but thematic combinations for the class (like my giant weasel riding kobold cavalier archer).

I love monks. Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment, because I know they are underpowered after playing them so much, but I still love them.

That said, I will try and make a go of anything, usually unusual.

Name a class that uses charisma as the primary or secondary stat and its at the top of my list. Summoner, bard, paladin, a cleric, oracle.
