Sorcerer's bloodlines (which is the best?)

I, too, enjoy Boreal. But that's just because I love to suggest frost-giant blood in my character's ancestry. ;)

I tend to focus more on the first and 9th level bloodline powers more because they are relevant for much more of the character's 'life'. Heck half the time we never even see 15th level.... Obviously if you are starting at higher level the priorities are different.

I love the abilities that get you something other than an attack at early levels. The verdant bloodlines tripping/ disarming is cool.

I have to admit that my personal favorite for fluff purposes is Stormborn.

Mechanically, I'd have to go with Arcane and Orc, generally. Though I'm currently getting good use out of Elemental (Cold) and arcane, combined with the Rime spell metamagic feat.

If you're going to multiclass your sorcerer, and your other class is WIS or INT focused (Skill Monkey Rogue, or Monk for example), then Empyreal and Sage (Wis and Int respectively) are your friends.

Just as a note, Empyreal Sorcerer/Zen Archer Monk's are very very NASTY starting about level 5 (2 sorcerer/3 monk). Especially if you take the trait that boosts your caster level (you can keep mage armor going all day, and still have a couple of gravity bows on call). It just get's nastier from there. I suggest a 2 to 1 ratio, with Monk being the higher level, and a monk's robe as soon as you can afford it. Anything that boosts your caster level is a good thing as well.

I find the draconic bloodline too stylish to pass up most of the time. What I wouldn't do for the DD to give you the real half-dragon template instead of those dragon shapes you likely get anyway... Snakeblood is great, but imo works best on eldritch heritage'd ninjas who can really bring the pain with the extra bite attack.

If I had to pick one, it's the starsoul bloodline. The 15th level power is just too much fun!

Going to play one of those in an on-and-off campaign, soon ( after my Paladin got super-gibbed to -39 HP in an honorable duel with a Samurai ^^ ). Although I took the void-touched wildblooded archetype.

Samurai- Like the Paladin. Only better...

For the slightly more deviou...ahem...I mean creative... dreamtouched bloodline allows you to cast modify memory as a spell-like ability (read: no verbal or somatic components). Being able to get free pot-shots at modifying the memory of anyone around you without them being able to trace the attempt to you has all kinds of interesting potential! =D

I'm sitting in the tavern sipping my ale...and modify the memory of that dwarf: 10 seconds ago, the human at the bar said something insulting about dwarf ancestries. Oh and the innkeeper now remembers that I've paid in advance for the week's food and lodging, the best that the inn can offer. The shopkeeper remembers that I've paid in advance for the item I commissioned. The mayor forgets that he'd rewarded me for saving the town from the orcs. And so on.

Actually I tend to like touch sorcerers. Screw your save. I'm abberant with a high con, mod str and cha. shocking grasp with intensified spell stacks well even into high levels. give yourself empower and maximize with the magical knack trait focused on your shocking grasp and you've got your low level slots covered with high dps. give yourself bonuses to bypass sr and you'll slaughter everything in your path because you're scaling at 1d6/level with no save. make sure to take elemental spell and you can change the damage type to ignore resistances.

Congrats you're now an uber dps fighter who automatically bypasses all armor and damage reduction.

I think the abberation bloodline is the most powerful because of their reach ability. Great way to deliver touch attacks and not draw attacks of oppurtunity.

Verdant is my favorite that I've played thus far. The combat maneuver thing is just too much fun.

I think verdant has lots of good abilities at low levels. I mean photosynthesis is great third level ability.

I like Serpentine Bloodline if only because it lets you play Jafar.

Depends on the situation and the campaign. Boreal is amazing if you're staying in the snow, but less than worthless in the jungle...

Arcane is the best universally, I'd have to say. Least fun themactically, though.

In terms of fun. I think that the verdant bloodline is the way to go. I love the trip and disarm ability with reach is just awesome. I also love the very cool abilities that the bloodline conveys.

Playing an Imperious Bloodline Human Sorcerer who has the descended from a god trait and aims to become an immortal God-King in his own right. Nothing like a bit of ambition!
In terms of play he also is one mean intimidator (for what that is worth!)

And if there were better sleep spells the Dream-Spun would become very formidable thanks to their lullaby ability.

I have a tatooed, linnorm bloodline sorscerer which kickes massive butt
I have a crossblooded draconic/elemental sorscerer, that has nice synergy

Yes, Verdant is cool at low levels. With a Charisma of 18 you are sure to put someone down.

AoO from the Fighters when he struggles upward. AND they get to swing again before he acts. What's not to like?! Free damage!

My party loves it. Also, not hauling around rations after 3rd levels helps with Encumbrance alot.
