Will think about that Tark...not sure if freshly created characters would make good captains.
The pre-gen characters included in the PDF have one statted out as a captain, so I think the intent is there for the leader position to be filled by a start-up character.
Though if whatever story you'd like to tell is better served by an NPC captain, then that's cool as well.
So....
Tark - Magnificent Charismatic Bastard
Mark - Dumb as Rocks Automaton Ganger
PS - congrats on the divorce Bree! and I'm also looking forward to the 'challenge' of playing a female character :)

Grats on the final divorce!
With regards LASIK, I spent the extra cash to go with a well proven practitioner who had a great track record - it's your eyes yeah?
I was in funky sunglasses for a couple of days, but could 'see' right away. After that it was a month of having dry sandy eyes (which is solved with drops) and then after that it was all happy joy.
Vision is now better than 20/20

Thanks DMHW, I sincerely hope that he leaves well enough alone and moves on but I have my doubts. The good news is, I have a wonderful support group in my family and close friends (including Sable) who have helped me through the disastrous marriage, the excruciating divorce/custody battles and are helping me through adjusting to life with an autistic daughter. Even my lawyer has taken a special interest in us and has called to check up on my daughter's progress in speech therapy and to offer me words of wisdom. I am loved, it's a nice feeling, one that I can finally recognize and feel like I truly deserve.

Sounds like you've got a good mindset on it anyway Bree - which is most of the battle done :)
Caterine is pretty much there for the HoRiddles campaign. Just need to finalize the crunch and add some appearance / personality / background info.

Not that I'm getting ahead of myself or anything - but here is how the Automaton Ganger is shaping up for the Airship Pirates game.
Starting cash = 0
Strength: 1+3+2 =6
Dexterity: 1-1+1 =1
Fortitude: 1 =1
Presence: 1 =1
Wits: 1 -2 =-1
Resolve: 1 =1
Initiative: 4 (1 Dex -1 Wit +4 Perception)
Health: 4 dice / 8 pips (2 +1 For +1 Jug)
Movement: 6 yards / round (5 +Dex)
Sneak 3, Run 18, Swim 6, Leap horizontal 6, Jump vertical 3
Skills: - 20 spent so far
Dodge (Dex): 4
Fisticuffs (Dex): 4
Intimidate (Str): 4
Perception (Wit): 4
Might (Str): 4
Athletics (Dex):
Craft (Metalwork-Str):
Gunnery (Dex):
Talents: - 9 spent
Mere Flesh Wounds: reduce dice pool and black dice penalties from wounds by 1 point.
Ham-Fisted: +2 dice to fist damage
Juggernaut: add one Health die
Pugilist x2: +2 to damage when using fists
Complications: -10
Mechanical: wounds do not heal naturally. Health pips only return through Ad-Hoc Repair.
Absent-Minded: 1/story GM can decide I have forgotten something. Need 1 success on Average Resolve roll to remember.
Distinctive Features: attempts to disguise are 1 difficulty higher than normal
Illiterate: cannot read or write
Still have Airship and Schtick skills to add, plus another 11 points worth of skills / talents.
He's not quick, he's not smart - but he does know how to mash face.
Only 5 dice on the attack, but 12 dice on damage using Brass Knuckles :)
Would you allow the Expert talent to be taken for Fisticuffs?

Bree: Congrats on your divorce. I hope all works out best for your daughter.
Zyren: I'm starting on a concept - not much yet but I like the idea of an upper class Neovictorian criminal
Though I imagine him more like a spy gone rogue, perhaps even a 'servant child' trained to act like upper class for his business . if that seems feasible
It will take a few more days to work this out since I got to get the basics of rules and settings, first.

Yeah surely, I also had to guess. I think she was never married but since the church of Iomedae is regarding happy marriages with so much favour I think she just had not the time to find the right man :)
You could make up a mistress relationship or something like that! Be crative, I'll play along with whatever you have in mind - it just has to be positive regarding marriages free of abuse and coercion.

Nope, far worse - I am a lawyer. At least when someone throws sh*t at you guys you are allowed to shoot back. I have to try to explain to the moron judge that it was sh*t and not a bag of chocolate like the other side claims.

Yeh - I was looking for that the other day, strange that it does not list it. As a player in the battle I would say once per forever. However, in all reality, probably he can use it at will even though this seems a little powerful.

Thanks Sebastian, DMHW - here it is:
Breath Weapon (Su): Using a breath weapon is a standard action. A dragon can use its breath weapon once every 1d4 rounds, even if it possesses more than one breath weapon. A breath weapon always starts at an intersection adjacent to the dragon and extends in a direction of the dragon's choice. Breath weapons come in two shapes, lines and cones, whose areas vary with the dragon's size. If a breath weapon deals damage, those caught in the area can attempt Reflex saves to take half damage. The save DC against a breath weapon is 10 + 1/2 dragon's HD + dragon's Con modifier. Saves against various breath weapons use the same DC; the type of saving throw is noted in the variety descriptions. A dragon can use its breath weapon when it is grappling or being grappled.
DM Harpwizard |
Thanks so much, Sebastian! That's a big help. It's probably also a big relief to Tirion and the other heroes of the Elsir Vale that the breath weapon is not every round. If you want to see how these guys do against the green dragon, you can read some exciting action at DM Harpwizard’s Heroes of Elsir Vale.

Zyren - any issues with Caterine's build or loadout? She should be pretty much ready to slot in wherever and whenever it fits in.
I'm thinking she's an ex-drover with Varisian gypsy in the background. Dab hand with a whip and started making a bit more cash when the lash crossed human flesh and not animal. Fairly no-nonsese in outlook, though still ultimately a good person.
Also - for the future Airship Pirates, anyone had some more crystallization of what sort of characters they want to be?

Self quote for Mark, Nightshift today should bring some work light time in the wee hours - I will probably have some more details next week.

This started awhile back, I first noticed it when the Smurf's movie was coming out. IDK if they did it then or if it's been even longer. Smurf-tacular.
I just bought an Albino Honduran Milksnake. I just got her all set up in her new home. I haven't thought of a name yet, though.
