Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Zyren, there's a conversation in Tom's Second Darkness OOC thread that could use your input.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Will you ever stop conspiring behind my back?!^^

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

No. Probably not. But at least you have access to the conspiracies!

Need to have BAB +6 for shield slam dude.

Also, I take it Berry's just chilling with the sexual harassment halfling while the group gets back?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Yup, they'll be back tomorrow-real time:)

The good Zyren asked me to stop by as I think I am now part of the Dunwich crew?

Zyren, not quite sure how to merge skills from Cthulhu d20 to Cthulhu
pathfinder. Advice?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

We have pretty much made the changes PF has done to 3.5 - listen+spot = Perception, move silently+hide= stealth, balance and tumble=acrobatics...ummm Dunwich crew, anything else?

Oh yes, and be heartily welcomed!

M Human Fighter 4

Oops, completely missed that bit. Has been corrected to Combat Reflexes

Thank you.

Artists get spot and listen as core skills if these combine to perception should I choose a replacement skill?

An elf with a creepy talking crow that Korax can love up to, too?

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

Bree calls the masterwork daggers taken from the wererats if no one objects. As she replaces her old ones, I'm willing to sell them for what little they'll fetch and split the gold with the group.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ PWO:

Yes, you can choose an additional core skills.

mornin, folks!

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

It's 1:25 am here. I'm about to head to bed here in a few, I just finished my first exam for my Principles of Culture class. I made those adjustments to Bree if you want to look over my sheet. Also, there was some question to what you meant in your response in Tom's Second Darkness OOC thread. I'll check back in in a few minutes, otherwise, good night everyone!

General Question:

I saw that often people playing APs open new game threads when they begin a new module-should we do it accordingly?

I'm perfectly fine with ours staying as one thread.

Male Pale Master

Me too. Im in another game where we have changed threads and it makes it a real chore to go back looking for information and such.

Female Human Rogue-Knife Master/10 (Init: +4)

It would be preferential for me to stay in one thread, it helps me to stick with the fantasy of it all. You know... the whole suspension of disbelief...

Male Orc Expert 5

I don't mind either way myself. It actually makes it easier to reference thigns for me since I'm going through more organized threads then trying to track crap through hundreds of posts.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

My vote is to stick with one. Tracking through multiple threads to find something is just annoying.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Grmbln: Did you make it into Nightfliers midnight game?

How does a half orc tell a horny fat halfling shes only into gnomes?

Convince Alcheringa and Blaze that their quality of mercy was misplaced and indeed Bobo should indeed be killed and thrown into the river which was their first instinct?

Male Orc Expert 5

Oh hell, someone decided to insult the homicidal russian.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Kill Bobo? Oh dear, you mean back then, when he was still Worsh's helper?!

Indeed Celestra was at the table with Shaleu, but she was busy with cake and was not properly introduced. I could not find the thread until just now. Thanks!

Is 4th Ed. worth picking up? I would like to pick up a new game that is a little more tactical than PF is. I really like a lot things about Pathfinder, but it seems 3rd addition became influenced by videogames a bit and took some of the grittiness out of the game. I don't know anything about 4th ed., so if any of you guys have another game system you really like let me know. I don't get attached to my characters that much and never have had an issue with a crit taking a leg off. In fact, I have enjoyed taking many heads off with a hit in the past and would like to see this again.

VC - Sydney, Australia

From what I have heard, 4th ed is even more MMO...

Mind you I never played 3rd (until PF), I took one look at it on release and stuck with 2nd.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I own like 30 4th edition books and besides the very good artwork and good quality of the books, I have to say that it's not as good as PF. It's even more a computer game. For examples you can buy booster with cards that you give you certain special actions and such stuff...while such things are optional, everything is rather simplistic and computer oriented.

Male Pale Master

Have you played GURPS? Its been a while but I seem to remember very realistic combat. I especially remember having both legs crippled in one round by an assassin's daggers. Not cool at all...

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Gurps can be quite realistic...a bit like rolemaster back in the past^^, but I have to say that I'm not a big fan of tables anymore :/

That was my concern. I did the same thing that Shifty did when I saw 3rd hit the shelves. Any of you ever play the Warhammer fantasy game? It seems a lot of people prefe the 2nd ed of that game to the 3rd. Any thoughts?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

2nd edition is stellar to 3rd...when I opened the 3rd edition core set I was shocked to be drowned under, counters and cards...it looks absolutely like a normal tabletop game (arkham horro for example)...very disappointing. 2nd edition though is quite good, but some books are really expensive nowadays.

Any game system out there that you really like that doesn't get very much in the way of publicity?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Hah-dozens :)

Dragon Age - Setting 8/10, Rules 6/10, woth a try because the available material is manageable.

Victoriana - Setting 9/10, Rules 7/10, maybe my most beloved RPG at the moment. Very good if you like Victorian Age/Pulp games with fantasy background.

Hollow Earth - Setting 8/10, Rules 7/10, also very good, but it's pulp without dwarfes and elves but with Nazis^^

Agone - Setting 7/10, Rules 6/10 fairy tale fantasy, worth a try, cause really cheap now.

Grimm or Mouseguard - setting 10/10 rules 6/10 totally diffrent approach to RPG. In grimm for example you play a child in a fairy world. There are only kid classes (like the bully^^) who have different abilities, very imaginative.

Iron Kingdoms - setting 8/10 rules 10/10(d20) the perfect steampunk world if you ask me, very expensive books now.

Qin - setting 8/10, rules 7/10 my most beloved asian RPG, far better than legend5R.

just to name some.

Figured you'd have a suggestion or 6, Z, lol. Researching now.

GURPS, Rollmaster... good times.

A lot of Twilight 2000 back in the day too :p

Do you have the book only or the box set for Mouse Guard?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

The Box set-my advice for RPGs is always go for the deluxe/collector/box version. There are so many collectors out there...you never know how the prices will be in like 2 years.

KK. Noted. I really like what it looks like.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Its based on a children's book/graphic novel series. I really like the idea to take a different approach at RPg...I mean we have tons of Dragon Slaying RPGS :)

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

We are having a very prolific morning, eh? I can already hear the curses of those who come later :)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dude, I got a vasectomy this morning and have been couch bound all day. I just glad to see people are starting to show up, haha. Been pretty quite on my side of the world.

I am looking at all of the stuff on Amazon now. 45 bucks for the box set seems like a good price to me.

Indeed.

Hey Bilbo, since you have the spare time today - check out motteditors question in his Realm of the Fellnight Queen's OOC thread.
