Gonna have to pull thr trigger quickly I guess, First Steps as a trilogy is being retired in August which is a shame as it is a great into to PFS play!

It wasn't just that the thread was full of us talking about our tools, it was brought to a whole new passionate level when we started posting pics as well. Did you want a pic of my 27" Fiskars?

OK on another note, I will have a crack at GM'ing and will run the PFS PBP material as mentioned earlier.
It will all be legit PFS play, with Chronicle sheets etc.
I have BBB and Stiehl down as interested parties, and I will begin with First Steps because:
A) It is a great intro trilogy, taking players from 1-2, introducing them to all the Factions, and gives a good range of activities - from social to combat etc, and...
B) Parts 2 and 3 are being retired 14th of August, which means there is the external motivation to get-r-done.
I will be posting up the general housekeeping (1 post a day or better, I will resolve actions etc NLT 10:00 Sydney time each day yada yada. If your move isn't in it will be passed or run for you :p all that good stuff. I'm really keen on being able to knock out a scenario every 4ish weeks to keep things really steaming along.

Shifty I'd be curious in joining a PFS PBP if you'd have me, but I wouldn't be able to actually commit to it until mid-May because that's when I've booked my ticket home. I've also never played PFS but am of course intrigued, so there's that minor speedbump as well...
Oh yeah, and I guess on a more general note: my great world-traversing journey comes to an end on May 12th when I fly back to San Francisco. Granted, San Fran is still a good 800 miles or like 1300 km from "home," but being back in the States will feel like homecoming enough I think (not having to worry about visas every month or two, etc.) And wifi will be basically impossible to not find.

Not sure about mid may though, as theres two of three scenarios retiring and they take 4-5 weeks each, so thats 12-15 weeks and this needs to be completed by 14 Aug, which is best summed up as 'soon'.
That being said, the one you'd miss is the one that is staying around, so notionally you could do the first one last... odd but not impossible!
I'm also anticipating players coming and going between scenarios, the good part about PFS play is that there's no 'rusted on' party, and it can vary from session to session.
I feel a sudden urge to find and purchase a Vibro Axe of my own!

Any questions about PFS building just ask, but its a pretty straightforward affair of 20 points, 2 traits, Full Hp at L1, no evil, core races+tengu/aasi/tief.

Recruitment thread going up when I get home, and going to probably fill the group fairly quickly. Its 130pm here on Wed, I expect that by Friday night the opening posts will be up and the game proper kicking off through Saturday...

All going ok, although one group was a bit slow to get cracking with one pulling out and one no-show. Both groups now flying along.
I've been similarly in a morass of children's birthday party recovery and work quagmire... our youngestun had his MMR jab today as well so he's unlikely to be happy tonight.

Worst shot I have gotten was the mega dose of Penicillin they give you in basic dubbed the "peanut butter" shot. Feels like you got kicked in the ass by a Thai boxer.

I tend to react badly to almost every kind of vaccination - I m considered risk-group so I should get a flu vaccination every year (and most years I do), and you can see scars from every vaccination on my shoulders...
I do remember lantus-cortisone injections from my high-allergy years - enough cortisone to get through the summer straight into the buttock - yeah, those kind of shots are fun.

I've heard yellow fever vac is the gnarliest one - I think they keep you a couple of hours at the clinic for observation.
Sounds horrid. Right up there with anthrax from what I understand. I always hate having to take my tikes in for their rounds, but I suppose I prefer a fever and fussing to Hep A or B.
Might be too brain dead to post much the next couple of days. Have some early appointments and tons of school work. Not getting much sleep. Take over for me as needed.
Picked up the Ultramarine movie for $10 at Wal-Mart of all places. Haven't watched it yet, but looking forward to it.
