My wife got a slot in The MagiTek Factory.

Words cannot express how excited I am.

Perhaps I should have said 'ticket'. OH WELL.

So I blocked a shot last night right on my wrist. So it swelled up nicely. I had most of the day off because Jude's daycare provider had to have dental surgery. We went to work this morning so I could get an update to our accounting software taken care of. He was a big hit, especially with the ladies.

Okay, back to life. Has anyone used

- Campaign Cartographer

- ProFantasy

- Obsidian Portal

- or Hero Labs?

I use CC3, Obsidian Portal, and Hero Labs. CC3 is awesome, but it takes some practice to get any good with it. Obsidian Portal can be as useful as you want to put effort into it. Hero Labs is the best character generator I have ever used, especially if you get all of the data sets.

*shudder*

One of the kidlet's blisters swelled up real bad so I had to drain it. He was screaming the whole time. Sometimes being a parent is hard. On the bright side, his burn is healing, ever so slowly. On the not bright side we're supposed to go to the lake tomorrow where he won't be able to do anything fun because of his sunburn and won't even be able to relax in the car on the way there and back because the burn is on his back. :(

You can't take a pass on the lake trip? :/

I really wish we could. It's a father's day party for my father-in-law.

In other news, I found out today that my dad has a girlfriend. On the one hand, I'm happy for him. On the other hand, I'm kinda weirded out. I probably shouldn't be. It's been five years since my mom died. But nevertheless, there you have it.

Are you meeting her this weekend?

No, not this weekend. He was hoping I could come up in a couple of weeks for the family reunion, but they picked the only weekend out of the whole friggin summer I can't be there... :(

Air conditioning is good. I like air conditioning.

Took kidlet out for small celebration of the end of school, ran errands, bought a new swimsuit top to replace the one that broke (underwire snapped and tried to stab me) and now I feel the need to rest and hopefully restore the shattered remains of my ego. I hate swimsuit shopping.

If there's one thing I hate, it's swimsuit tops that don't perform/betray you and try to stab you in the ribs. I'd be glad to go shopping with you. fires up the Hatemobile (tm)

I need to post in the 'artists draw your character' thread now.

As long as she's not someone you went to school with. ;)

Ouch. I've taken pucks to the ribs and head before. I feel your pain, man.

Weird. I had posted a post right after Aeglos, yet it disappeared.

Are we moving back into ghost posting?

I have to drive the 50 miles to Austin myself.

Gary, if you are around, the post still exists under my 'namless narrator' alias. It isn't showing here. Might be a new bug or something, thought I should bring it to your attention. I'll flag this post, and anyone else wants to flag it, feel free.

Afternoon all.

New bugs. Allow me to make a few adjustments to the equipment then tell me how it goes.

Remember this is for posterity so please, try to be honest.

Well, you know, the traffic once you've gotten past Iceland is murder. And there's no proper rest stops between Newfoundland and the mouth of the Hudson, so if you need a bathroom break you're in deep water.

Mrgh.

In the words of our resident Patrick....

"lawn decapitated"

Scarab Sages

So, who among the FAWTLY folk have picked up the Advanced Race Guide, and do you think it's worthy of purchase?

Aberzombie wrote:

Yeah my first section is decapitated, but more lies waiting the headsman's axe...

*sigh*

What I've seen I've liked

Ditto here, got the front last night but the much-larger back is waiting when I get home from work in ~35 minutes plus travel time. (Unless Mom got around to doing it herself while I was here, in which case I'll be pleasantly surprised.)

On the upside I have the riding axe rather than the push-cleaver for the back yard.

So far so good there is some really neat stuff for dwarves, but I am really only through that section so far.

Wow! Slow day on the board.

I just ordered Advanced Player Races and Lost Kingdoms this morning. The new hardback should arrive before the move to Indiana.

I love you all.
