My slogan is "you can have my coffee when you pry it from my cold dead hands"
Yes, very distraught about the loss, it's a good thing I made a full pot.
Captain yesterday fun fact: I did not drink coffee until I was 30.
I even lived in Seattle for five years without touching it.
Not worth a "Story Time", but:
So I didn't drink coffee until I was 32. Now I drink 16-20 ounces of very strong coffee every morning.

Oh, no. You're not going anywhere until you f**$ an owl.
Captain Danger Bear is always willing, but only if the owl is poisonous.

I am impressed and disappointed: I think the cheerful woman who calls every morning at 9:00 am is a bot.
"Hi! You've been selected for yadda ya! Can I tell you about it?"
"Well, you caught me in the middle of masturbating, but go ahead."
Doesn't miss a beat
"OK, here we go..."
As usual, I put the phone down to let her ramble on, but this time I listened. And when I didn't respond to a question, she did the classic computerized, "I'm sorry, I didn't hear that. Could you please say it again?"
At that point I realized I'd been duped by a very clever bot. Curses!

I'm sorry you were duped by a bot. Eat this chocolate cake. It will make you feel better.

So I didn't drink coffee until I was 32. Now I drink 16-20 ounces of very strong coffee every morning.
I was a late bloomer too, didn't start until recently.
This summer I got in the habit of making a pot and then chilling it in the fridge for the next day. Then last week I had a cup of hot coffee for the first time since spring, and it just wasn't the same. I think the hot stuff is ruined for me.

I don't like cold coffee.
Possibly because of the seven months of winter.
By the way, 60 degrees and overcast today, so almost here...

I know! It's been wonderful to have days that have barely broken 80 degrees here lately -- post-Harvey cold snap, as it were; a heavily-tarnished silver lining, but silver nonetheless --, and that means . . . .

Wait for it . . . .

As someone that has seen human garbage up close I can say definitively you aren't it.
If it helps we were also recently ravaged by allergies, it'll hopefully pass quickly.
You need a shirt that says "I'm not yelling, you're not listening"
Yogurt is your best friend when it comes to getting over stomach bugs.
Get better soon, it's not the same without you (especially for Freehold, who has had nary a window to jump through).

Big, big hugs, Lynora.
I am so there with you. When my little sister band I finally (after eight years) went through and cleared out most of our Dad's things last month, boy howdy, there was emotional baggage to carry out as well.
Not just because she is pregnant, single, hormonal, and turning forty next month.
(Did I mention that we ate a lot of comfort food? We put our grief and stress and anger into her homemade beignets and fried green tomatoes.)
And we found exactly two copies of an audiobook Dad had recorded of a children's book a friend of his wrote, many years ago. One for my children, one for my imminent niece.
I haven't given my copy to my children yet because I am not ready to hear his voice again after all these years.
So, yes, very big hugs.

My week of travel insanity is coming up. This Friday we fly out to Charlotte NC for an in-law's wedding. Then, because I'm running low on PT at work and I never know when I might land in the hospital for a week with staph or pneumonia or gods-know-what, I'm flying back to Phoenix to work next week while Ms. TS & kids drive up the coast. The following Friday I fly to Boston, where they pick me up and we continue on to the family reunion! Then we all come back to Phoenix two days later.
I tell ya, nobody I know better die or get hitched next year, 'cause I'm not going. >:|
Well I got a bug last night, it feels like the very same bug that I had last month, so no in-law wedding for me.
I could have gone if I were determined, but an already sleep-deprived TS plus a long layover in Denver and a 5am touchdown in Charlotte equals a sicker and miserable TS.
