Is this going to be text only or are we going to be using some kind of map tool for combat?
I'll be making maps for combat (using MapTool, Excel, or both), and posting them as images on Photobucket.
Looks like we are going to have a very intersting group. CH, are we all supposed to know each other at the start of the game or will we be introduced to each other through the opening posts?
The game will open with the party traveling with Garavel in a caravan, having been gathered in Katapesh. The group has been together for a few days, traveling north from the city to rendezvous with Almah Roveshki somewhere near Kelmarane. Whether or not any of the PCs knew each other prior to signing on to the expedition is up to you.
We'll open up with an opportunity for role-playing, so you can chat in character and get a feel for each other. Then we'll jump right into the fire (so to speak...)

I considered it but decided it tied her too directly to the Church. I took Keleshite Princess and Strength of the Sun. If your character is a vocal supporter of Sarenrae, however, I expect Aaliyah would definitely be a quick friend. She might even show you her birthmark, which, as far as she's concerned, looks exactly like Sarenrae's holy symbol - not so much to most other people but they usually humor her. It's one of those Jesus on grilled cheese things.

Fixed that. I'd probably be dropping the shield to swim or climb anyway, since I have trouble picturing either activity being workable one-handed. The nice thing about wooden shields is that they are cheap to replace.

I'm still not sure I agree with the way you have Shadrach's ACP-affected skills noted. Would the totals not be +0 with shield, +2 without?

Doomwrangler, I see only one problem with Bosch's character sheet. Since he doesn't have Two Weapon Fighting, I believe he needs to apply a -4/-8 penalty to his attack rolls when double fighting with his quarterstaff (for a total modifier of -2/-6).
Otherwise, he looks great.

Cry Havoc! I hope your feeling better soon. Just posting this to give the thread a bump and see if any of the other players want to continue some intro fun character posts while we wait for the plot to continue.
Hope you are feeling better CH. Can you give us an ETA for your return? I know we can fill this time with RPing but I always intended Bosch to be a quiet one until after our first couple of encounters.
Same here. I just wasn't planning on any real RP with Sadid for a bit as he gets the feel for the others. But I'm deffinitly still wanting to keep this going.

I was too, especially after the application/selection process.
All I know is the last time I looked CH posted the exact same message for us and three other PbP's of his within minutes of each other, and he hadn't posted a thing since.
I gotta say I was really looking forward to this too. Does anyone wanna take CHs place as GM?
I was really looking forward to *playing* this. :) If nobody else in the group is able/willing, however, I might be able to step in...I know it's a heck of a lot of work, though.

After so long of waiting I saw another opportunity to play Eli in another LoF game that just started. I feel in love the the concept and didn't want to miss out on the chance to play him. If some one wants to take over as the DM I can easily make a new character to fill his place, a spell caster maybe to fill that role. I don't have the time to take on the responsibilities of a DM right now. Though I keep thinking I want to try and do a Runelords PBP...alas that may have to wait.
