Oops. Sorry—my answer is normally true, but not this month. In this case, we're showing you the actual date that we're intending to ship, which is determined by the average shipping time to your address and a desired delivery as close to next Thursday as possible.
???
My e-mail says it will ship by Tuesday, the 11th with an average delivery time of 4 to 8 days. That would put it (at best) on the 15th and more likely on Monday the 17th. If it takes 4-8 days, shouldn't it ship on the 10th at the latest?
I was hoping (being in Florida) that it would be shipped by the end of this week....
What part of FL you in DaveMage?

I'm in Auckland too. I'm too cheap to spring for the more expensive shipping, so I normally get 11-40 days shipping. Most of the time it's closer to the short end of that range, but once in a while I get two months subscription arriving about the same time. I haven't had a later one beat an earlier one yet though.
On the odd occasion I've had an order shipped at higher rates due to weight, it tends to be about a week, at the low end of the 6-10 days estimated transit.
Ahhhh, that probably explains it. I only discovered Pathfinder a couple of months ago and all of my orders so far have been packed with stuff. So all of my packages have been heavy enough that I had to go with the 6-10 day option. Once I start some subscriptions later on I'll likely start using the 11-40 day option too. I think 6 business days is the most I've waited though, with several being even faster which is pretty cool!
EDIT: Dial-up? You must be mad! the lines are so poor here that those on dial up couldn't DL a 10 page colour PDF let alone a 576 page one!
I suspect that you're right! I'm just crazy slack and never get around to arranging broadband, even though it would save me heaps of time in the long run.
And... er... How about those pdf's? :D
Sorry for getting rather off topic!

It's all a giant conspiracy against Europe, I tell you. Poor us ;(.
Kae'yoss: I share your concerns. Actually, I had hoped that overseas shipments would be sent out even earlier than this week, in order to make sure that they arrive on time for the August 13 release. Guess that was a little too optimistic ...

If there's a conspiracy, NZ is also a victim... :-( No shipping for me, no PDFs yet either.
What I'm wondering is if anyone has remembered the International Date Line when planning the shipping. If my order ships tomorrow and if it takes the minimum estimated shipping time to arrive, it'll be here on the 14th my time, but the 13th in the US, more or less.

It might have worked if they had gotten the international stuff done by tuesday or maybe wednesday.

Nothing here, though I don't have the PFRPG book in my order, so probably I'm at the end of the line. :-P
It would be nice to take a look at the new AP, just to ease the wait for the next week and the big, yummy download.
Mine consists of 4 subscription shipments: A companion, an RPG, a chronicle and an AP. Should be pretty common.
I think they do it on purpose to make us paranoid! ;-)

Yes. And yes, they probably do.
That said the conspiracy to prevent anyone not in Amercia getting their stuff until the 14th is also possible. At 6-10 days travel, they can send it today and just about get it to Europe in time if the quick time is accurate. So, get to it Paizo people. Europe wantssss it's precioussss PDFs. ;-)

Sob. No pdf love for the Netherlands either.
Not bothered about the pdfs, I am bothered about getting the book here in a week!
Crosses fingers, mumbles pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
I start to suspect they did the whole "send it to the people far far away first" bass ackwards by not processing them first. Seems they did the domestic stuff first. Really a shame as they'll delay that, anyway.
Gary London |
if they post it today or tomorrow and it takes the minimum amount of time to reach me then it'll be fine.
but since it says 6-10 days in transit i'm not hopeful.
But i do understand what a massive undertaking this is,and so am not toooo upset that i wont get mine at launch.
It just means i wont be able to read the boards until mine arrives.

Still no sign here in the UK but my order says it will be in tow packages which suggests the other subsctiption stuff will be in one package anf the core rules in the second.
Definately not hopeful it will be here anytime around the 13th, just hoping the servers don't crash too soon on the 13th and I'll be able to get the pdf.

Last time I checked, Ohio was still part of the US, and I don't have mine either.

Just something I've noticed, but the typical turnaround from Order placed to Order shipped is around 7-8 days. As my order was placed on the 1st, this would mean shipping on the 8th or 9th. Either way, 6 days (minimum shipping time) means it won't arrive here until the 14th. EDIT: Yes, I realise this is rather obsessive approach to detail, but I'm an analyst by trade. This is the sort of thing my mind comes up with to check.
Of course, this assumes things take the typical amount of time, when in all probability Paizo has everyone from Lisa down working in the warehouse to cope with the orders (granted Lisa's standing there barking orders and cracking the motivational whip rather than packing, but she is helping ;-) ), or some other measure to speed the packing and shipping up.

Here's what my email said about shipping to Houston, TX:
A package containing 6 items from Paizo Order #1213849 is expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by Tuesday, August 11 via Standard Postal Delivery, estimated 4 to 8 business days in transit.
So, Davemage, you aren't alone in wondering if you will get yours by the 14th. Some of the smaller packages have arrived in 2-4 days. But this will be a BIG one so I expect it to take longer.

Doesn't prove anything. They could still be handling domistic stuff. They might not even have started in on the internationals
Did anyone from outside the US get the email yet?

The Core Rulebook PDF actually isn't ready. We're working hard to make this the best PDF Paizo has ever produced. Not only will it be fully bookmarked, but it will also be internally hyperlinked, and we've had four people working on that project since it went to the printer. (The initial pass has been completed, and it's being checked now.) We're also hoping to incorporate some errata into the PDF; that's also being compiled now.
Bookmarked is no suprise, but hyperlinked?

I just got a bigger than usual box from Paizo, and it arrived here in Dallas faster than usual. YMMV.
I'm in Dallas, too, and I have a big bag of nothing, so I hope you're just messin' with me.

Sorry, DF: Last shipment. On this one, I am languishing in No New Downlands Land. Golem, have mercy!!!

Thats odd, for me it has been the other way around. Boxes normally take 2-3 days for me. While envelops typically take 4-6 days for me.

Eesh! My RPG is in transit. And ONLY my RPG. Assuming minimum transit time, I'll get it the 14th. No sign of the others, or any access to PDFs from the rest of my subscription. yet. *bangs head against the wall*

It'll be interesting to see if the rest of my order would have fitted in the box with the core book.
It's extremely frustrating though, that a lot of people have the PDFs without even having their order shipped, while others are getting chunks shipped and no downloads.

Hunh, I just noticed that. When I got my PDFs I thought it had actually all shipped out. Now actually reading it it says that it'll ship by the 11th. Was kinda hoping the box would get here on the 10th for my 25th b-day ;)

Got the "this will be shipped by 11th" mail and my PDFs.
I hope they ship it sooner rather than later, because, well, impatience and all that.
Hm.... is Cheliax that poor or have the GP limits plummeted in PF? Or is it an error?
A bunch of interesting stuff to find, mainly in the feats sections of NPC stat blocks.

I have got the email that AP, Chronicles, Companion, and Module will ship on Tuesday, 11th (and I have already downloaded the PDFs, of course). Still no message from the RPG, which now sits in my sidecart, waiting to be shipped.
Tübingen in Germany.
Did I mentioned that the new stat-blocks look great?
