For the forest

Spoiler:
The grass and low limbs start twitching and swaying as Verzale prepares his spell. One of the creature charges forward towards the group and the other hunches his back and lets out a terrifying screech. Right as it lets out the howl the skin covering it's face pulls back on it's head exposing the muscle and bone beneath.
Everyone make a Will save DC 13
A look of total fear spreads across Roderick face as he gazes at the monster and his arrow flies wide as his numb fingers lose their grip.
Roderick save 1+2 = 3

Male Halfling Sorcerer 3 (3,300 xp)

Wagon:

Spoiler:
"Creed, do you want me to use my enlargement spell on you?"

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon spends a while humming to himself with one hand pressed to his forehead and eyes shut. Then the glitter of ruby re-appears in them.

Afterwards the mercenary climbs down behind the cover of the wagon.

Focus 15+10=25, move action to climb down.

"Watch out for flankers and people in trees, folks!" shouts Tuon to the others.

Male Human Druid 3

Closing his mind to the howl, Verzale draws his scimitar.

Will save 1d20+6 &#8594; [7,6] = (13)- just!

"Dagmar - trip" he calls to his wolf companion, his own eyes alight with a mixture of joy in action and fear of what he's fighting.

What kind of abominations are these?

"Bri - stay back but get a shot at them if you can." he calls to the halfling girl.

Know(Nat)1d20+10 &#8594; [7,10] = (17) to identify the beasties

Female Halfing Rogue

Will save: 13+2=15 Finally!!

Bri watches as the beast shows it inner beauty. "That is not good" Bri says as she aims and sends an arrow flying towards the beast. Attack: 19+6=25 I am on a roll this morning! Damage: 1 I can't be perfect every time. Bri watches as the arrow flies true but only makes a superficial wound on the creatures shoulder.

The Wagon:

Spoiler:
How far away are the attackers?

The Wagon

Spoiler:
The closest one you can see are about sixty feet.
Init order
Scardd 23
Tuon 20
Attackers 15
Skidd 14
Attackers 10
Creed 7

A torch starts darting through the trees towards the road. Soon the torch light illuminates the small goblin carrying it as he heaves with all his might and the torch arcs through the air. The torch lands in the grass six feet short of the wagon and starts some of the dry grass on fire. Several more arrows strike the side of the wagon and one grazes the horse causing it to rear and start pulling on the wagon.

Scidd is up.

For Forest

Spoiler:

Init order
Roderick 13
Bri 9
Dagmar 6
monsters 5
Verzale 5

The charging wolf creature collides with Dagmar biting and clawing but the wolf leaps and weaves out of it's reach.
Dagmar is up

For Verzale

Spoiler:
The creatures are Krenshar, a strange cross between wolves and hyena. These magical creatures have the ability to terrify people by pulling the skin back from their head like you just saw but otherwise no more dangerous than a large wolf or small bear.

Male Human Druid 3

Dreamweaver

Spoiler:
Nice distinction there Dreamweaver! "No more dangerous than a large wolf or small bear"

Snapping at the Krenshar's legs, Dagmar goes for the tendons in true wolf fashion, trying to bring the creature down.

1d20+3;1d6+1; [15,3] = (18)
1d20+3;1d6+1; [3,1] = (4)

"Bri, Roderick - they're Krenshar. Just think of them as big wolves."

Verzale holds his voice steady and moves to intercept the incoming beast, masking his body with his buckler and looking for a vital spot.

for Forest

Spoiler:
Dagmar locks his jaws on the krenshar's front leg drawing blood and a yelp from the larger beast.

Need a Str check to trip.
Krenshar's opposing roll: 12
Verzale go ahead annd roll Dagmars check and take your turn.

Scidd is up

Male Human Druid 3

Forest

Spoiler:

Dagmar pushes her shoulder hard into the Krenshar bringing it crashing to the ground.

1d20+2 ; [14,2] = (16)

"Out Dagmar." orders Verzale as he releases his will and the entangle spell erupts over the landscape, snaring and slowing the Krenshars.

Hope that's right. Without a map, it's kind of tricky, but he'll aim at where it will cause most disruption. For his next trick, he'll cast Flame Blade which should last 3 minutes - or 4 if I've read the Heighten Spell feat properly.

I'm waiting for Creed to respond.

for Forest

Spoiler:
The grass and small branches cover the fallen krenshar pulling it to the ground. The other one thirty feet away tries to leap away but is held fast by the grass and vines.

Roderick stumbles backward and runs into the trees disappearing from sight.

[/ooc]Bri is up[/ooc]

Ok sorry Skidd, give him until Monday and if you don't hear anything make an executive decision.

Female Halfing Rogue

"Ok nice hairy creature just go find someone else to eat please." Bri says as the creature lets out another low growl as it lies on the ground. "Well fine then just don't say I didn't warn you." Bri says to it as she prepares another arrow. Attack: 9+6=15 Sneak Attack: 3+4=7

for Forest

Spoiler:
Bri's bolt pierces the krenshar deep in the chest and it lets out a loud screech and struggles to stand to no avail.

Dagmar is up.

Male Human Druid 3

Forest

Spoiler:

If Dagmar can attack without being entangled she will, but I'll hold on her move until I know that. If she can attack she'll go for the one she tripped with the following 1d20+3;1d6+1; [8,3] = (11)
1d20+3;1d6+1; [1,1] = (2) - which is highly likely to be a miss ...

This is Verzale, just to help keep things moving.

"Great shot, Bri! One blazing sword of destruction coming up."
He closes his eyes, flicks something that looks like a small pinch of ash into the air and chants something unrecognisable. An instant later a flaming blade appears in his hand. Using his woodsman's skills, to evade the snaring plantlife, he heads towards the Krenshars.

Cast Flame Blade (standard action), move (standard action). Depending on the Dagmar situation, he'll either attack the undamaged one. Spell should last 3-4 minutes depending on how you read the Heighten Spell feat. It's +5 to hit and 1d8+1 damage.

Male Human Favored Soul (of Kord) 3 | Exp.=3300

Sorry, I've been swamped--and the holiday. So...was that an Enlarge spell that Skidd cast or something else? I'll post after the second group of attackers.

Male Halfling Sorcerer 3 (3,300 xp)
Creed of Kord wrote:

Yes, it was. Sorry, should have clarified.

Male Human Favored Soul (of Kord) 3 | Exp.=3300

"Thanks," says Creed to Skidd as he jumps from the rear of the wagon (his move action), growing larger on the way out! As soon as his feet hit the ground, Creed uses the cover of the wagon to cast Sanctuary <link> upon himself (his standard action).

He shouts in the direction of the attackers, "Prepare to feel the wrath of Kord!!!"

for Wagon

Spoiler:
Branches snap and the sound of heavy footsteps come from the timber. Seconds later large dark bugbear breaks through the under brush brandishing a large sword and a whip in the other. He bellows a challenge, "Gord ur morilaon ya ni harshkal numon".

A couple more arrow stick into the side of the wagon but otherwise are harmless.

Goblin translation

Spoiler:
Kord is weak and I spit on him.

Scardd is up.

for Forest

Spoiler:
Dagmar can walk through the effected area as long as he stays with in 5 feet of you.
Dagmar bits and claws at the downed krenshar but doesn't do any significant damage.

Both krenshars try to pull them selves out of the enchanted plants but the grass and limbs keep them in place.

Bri is up

The Wagon:

Spoiler:
Scardd stands tall at the appearance of the yelling Bugbear. He stares and the Goblinoid for a moment, then shrugs his shoulders, "Don't underztand zu furvee deevil. Pleazzze die."

The Warlock reaches into himself and finds the flows of energy that inhabit his being. With a growl, his arm projects forward and the Eldritch power unleashes towards the Bugbear.

Eldritch Blast (Roll 4+4=8)

Tuon's turn for the Wagon Group

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

The Wagon:

Spoiler:
Tuon calls on his golden shield and it grows before his body, then he grips the longsword tightly and moves around the wagon in front of Scarrd and his longspear.

Female Halfing Rogue

Attack: 13+6=19 Damage: 5 Bri watches as the spell is casted and decides that it is best if she stays put. She grabs another arrow and shoots at the second beast. She watches the arrow fly through the air and sink itself into the right shoulder. "Yea!! That is how it is done!" Bri says as she does a little happy dance.

Male Human Druid 3

Dagmar and Verzale's next actions

Forest

Spoiler:

Dagmar
1d20+3;1d6+1; [17,3] = (20)
1d20+3;1d6+1; [4,1] = (5)

Snarling and snapping at the Krenshar, Dagmar picks her moment and fastens herself to its throat, trying to throttle the beast.

Muttering more words in an unintelligible language, Verzale looks with satisfaction at the glowing blade in his hand.

"This is more like it. Great shot Bri. Let's finish these things and go and help the others."

He heads purposefully towards the second Krenshar.
Cast Flame Blade and move

for wagon

Spoiler:
A small goblin runs up to Tuon and leaps at him with an small sword and slams into the simmering field in front of him. The goblin bounces to the ground staring at Tuon with a fearful look on his face.

Two more goblins charge out of the trees towards the wagon.

Scidd is up.

for the Forest

Spoiler:
As Degmar shakes his head a snap can be heard and the krenshar goes limp.

The last krenshar whines at it's dead mate and begins struggling again against the vines and finally breaks free. The krenshar snarls and darts into the trees fleeing the area.

You are out of initiative.

Male Human Druid 3

Forest

Spoiler:

Verzale casts an expert eye at his surroundings in case there's any further danger.

Know (Nat) 1d20+10; [13,10] = (23)

Then he calls Dagmar to him. Petting her, he buries his face in her neck and murmers

"You did well there girl. You've always been quicker and smarter in a fight than me."

If the Know(Nat) shows up with nothing he'll move towards to wagon and try to help out before the Flame Blade is wasted.

"Bri? Any more danger you can see around here, or shall we get back to the others?"

"Tuon, I can do the same spell on you as I did on Creed. Do you mind?"

Male Human Favored Soul (of Kord) 3 | Exp.=3300

How far is Creed from the Bugbear? I assuming he's more that one move action away. Can he attack this round? If so, I'll follow up with an attack on it.

Creed approaches the Bugbear...

He's still under the effect of the Sanctuary spell, btw.

Spoiler:
"Hey zu. Leetle one," Scardd turns his head toward Skiddifig, "Quiiit zour jabbering and letzzz get zeeze ziings. No?" Scardd quickly turns his head back to the Bugbear, waiting for the attack.

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

DM/Wagon group

Spoiler:
Creed just went so I believe it's Scarrd's go. Has he just gone and readied a spear attack on the bugbear? If it is Tuon's go, he attacks the little goblinoid before him.

Tuon slashes at the first goblin, trying to open up its skull. Attack roll 6+4=10, 2Handed Damage 5+4=9

Wagon:

Spoiler:
I was assuming that Skiddifig's questions were all Free Actions. Scardd's post was IC Free Action out of Initiative to prompt the little guy to take a Standard Action. After Skiddifig takes his turn, it goes Bugbear, Creed, then Scardd at the top again. Unless, of course, I missed something. Sorry for the confusion.

Male Human Favored Soul (of Kord) 3 | Exp.=3300

You're correct. Skidd didn't actually take an action. I thought he had. Sorry.

Male Halfling Sorcerer 3 (3,300 xp)

Wagon:

Spoiler:
Skidd draws his spear, ready to fight back should one of the goblins approach him.
Readying an action to attack any goblin who comes within reach.

Wagon

Spoiler:
The bugbear watches the goblin bounce off Tuons force shield and starts toward the warrior. With his large sword held at the guard he steps forward and lashes out with his whip at Tuons feet. The whip wraps around his right foot and the bugbear pulls back trying to topple Tuon to the ground.

Trip attempt Str or Dex check: DC 18 to stay standing.

Two more goblins charge out of the trees leaping at Creed, slashing away with sharp swords. One opens a long cut on his leg as the other goblin misses completely and stabs himself in the foot.

Creed takes 4 damage.
Creeds is up after Tuon has resolved his trip attack

forest

Spoiler:
With a quick look around you do not see any other dangers. A badly mauled body rests in the center of the clearing.

The others are about a half mile to the west so if you want to make it there in time you will really have to run. It is up to you.

Female Halfing Rogue

"I don't see anything else around here. I feel safe to assume that body over there is one of the missing men. I think if we run fast enough we might be able to get to the wagon and hope that they are not under attack as well" I am not sure if we know they are under attack or not. Was there a signal or something that I nissed?

Male Human Druid 3

We probably heard some shouting?

"Right. Let's bring our brand of destruction to the mix. Come on Dagmar."

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Wagon group plus DM/whipmaster

Spoiler:
Strength check 3+3=6.

Tuon falls like a sack of spuds, not expecting such a low trick.

"Gah!"

Male Human Favored Soul (of Kord) 3 | Exp.=3300

Creed swings at the goblin that hit him with his two-handed sword.

Attack vs. Goblin that hit him (1d20+4=13, 2d6+7=13)

for forest

Spoiler:
Creeds sword swoops down and grazes the goblins leather covered chest but fails to do any damage.

Scardd is up

Wagon:

Spoiler:
Scardd, seeing Tuon fall, lets out a growl and leaps from behind the cart toward the whip-carrying Bugbear. "Vy had enough of zu fervey Go'Blin." Roaring as he approaches, his fire-red hair blazing a trail behind him, the Warlock searches within himself and pulls at his newly understood Eldritch energy. Projecting his power through his spear, he stabs at the hairy Goblinoid.
