Today's blog is about Conquest. It's going to be released this month. So am I the only one that's excited?

Not at all. I am hyped. I have loved everything I have seen thus far and can't wait for Pathfinder to kick in. Truthfully, I would rather start Pathfinder now than get the last issues of Dungeon and Dragon. Being that is not a choice I will take it all...

Nope :)

Reading today's blog, I saw that Jason Bulmahn and I have a similar idea about dragons. They're great, but it's sometimes difficult to pit them against lower-level adventurers. But the flame drake seems to be an effort to change all that. I imagine that a dozen of these things attacking a village would be terrifying event.

I'm also glad to see that Paizo is going down a darker route with the fey. I've always pictured them as mischievous nature spirits who have a very different idea of what an "innocent" prank is, often taking things too far and ending up with blood on their hands. And that's just the ones who mean well and want to have fun ;) Can't wait for this module, and Carnival of Tears. I'm very interested to see what they've done with these dark new fey.

The Flame Drakes look (and sound) awesome!

These are so incredibly needed. Very well done.

Can't wait to look them over.

I guess I'm just a little confused. I have a subscription to Gamemastery (as well as Pathfinder). I was expecting a little ditty about kobolds, not dragons. Is Conquest part of the Gamemastery subscription or is it different?

W1: Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale is indeed part of the GameMastery Module subscription. The ditty about the kobolds is D1: Crown of the Kobold King and it is the first in the subscription. If you subscribe now you will get both, D1 right away and W1 when it releases later this month.

I am all about drakes. They make great enemies and still leave Dragons as the chief monster of all; Dark Sun did a great job with drakes, and it looks like GameMastery will as well.

Is this adventure still on schedule to hit newstands on July 17th. If so then it should be shipping to subscribers shortly I would think. :)

We got word yesterday that it will probably reach our office just in the very last days of the month, so while we *might* be able to start shipping to subscribers in July, it'll probably be in stores in the first half of August, with Pathfinder 1 and Module D2 in the middle and end of August, respectively.

The Pathfinder Superadventures take place in the same world as the Game Mastery Modules, but in a different location of said world.

So wait, is it mostly Fey-based or mostly Dragon-based? Some unique mix? The description talks about Fey and the blog and cover say DAGRONS! Now I"m confused

The module has a bit of both... and a bit of a third, as of yet, unnamed villain. If you want an adventure with fey villains, you will certainly get one.

A bit of a production update, for those anxiously looking for your next GameMastery fix... On Tuesday's chat, Jason said he'd seen a finished copy of Conquest, but that the bulk of the stock was still on a boat somewhere.

Looks like a broken link on the Blog page : (

Where is Bloodsworn Vale in comparison to Falcon's Hallow?

Far, far away. Bloodsworn Vale actually is right next door to the southeast corner of Varisia.

Hmmm...yeah, if there is supposed to be a pic of the map on the blog page, I'm not seeing it either....

I think the file was not completely uploaded, looks like something is at that URL, just corrupted.

Maps are still broken. :(

Right click on the link, then choose Save Target As.

If this was 5 years ago, I would think that the image was saved in CMYK format, but I could have sworn IE6 and IE7 don't suffer from that problem.

Or, until its fixed:

grab it here

That should show up in your browser.

The image is now appearing on the page and yes, it looks very cool. I see that there is a grid pattern over it. What's the scale? Are each of the squares 1 mile x 1 mile?

Woohoo, my card has been charged for Bloodsworn Vale! That should mean it is shipping soon! Right!? Right? My fingers are crossed.

Uh... what? No... we just charged you for two copies of the last issue of Dragon, though. (You had two simultaneous subscriptions. Was that intentional?)

However, Bloodsworn Vale should hopefully arrive—and start shipping—next week.

I some questions for Vic or anyone else.

1. Have we been charged for this module already?
2. Is there any way to have somewhere on this site telling us what you have charged us for?
3. Have you sent us an e-mail stating that you are charging us for this?

The reason why I am asking is there was a $19.08 charge to my account from Paizo. I figured that it was on the up and up, but I did not know what the charge was for. Since I will have two subscriptions from you guys, I want to make sure that I know which one it is, especially since I will also be buying other stuff from you all.

Thanks for the answers.

I'll answer your questions in the other location in which you asked them (which is the more appropriate thread for such questions anyway).

No.

Sharoth wrote:

Yes. If you check your Order history, it will show you which orders have been created and filled.

Sharoth wrote:

You will receive an email when each order is created (which is when the card is authorized) and another when it ships (which is when the actual charge takes place).

The $19.08 is an authorization for your order of six copies of the Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide.

Doh!!! It WAS Order of the Stick, Start of Darkness! Doh! Doh! Doh! And it was $19.06, not $19.08. ~shakes my head~ Sorry! And thanks for the quick response!

Thanks Cosmo!

Hi Vic and Cosmo,
I was aware of the charge for Dragon (yes, I did intend for two copies, thanks). But those were charged on a different card from the one I used for my GameMastery subscription. That card (the GameMastery one) was charged $16.08 on 7/26.
I guess I'm stumped as to why there was the charge early, as I have not made any other orders on that card.

I received an email letting me know there would be an upcoming charge to my credit card as soon as the module was shipped. As of today there is no charge on my card yet. I can't remember ever being charged until the item has been shipped to me

Right—we don't charge until we ship. And module W1 just arrived a few minutes ago, so we'll be shipping it (and charging cards as we do so) later this week.

Vic, any info on why I may have been charged early? I'd be happy to wait and see if there is another charge before getting worried or anything - just curious.

they have stated multiple places that they do an authorization to your card a few days before the actual charge, in case you need to change payment methods to another card, that way you can still get your product on time. I am guessing that what you are seeing on your card is that authorization, and not an actual charge. If the one authorizing does not charge you within a 30 day period, said authorization drops completely, but until either a charge is made, the company sends a 'cancel this authorization' call, or the 30 day period is up it holds the credit to ensure that you can afford the amount. Somewhere in the store forum is another rather long description better written out on authorizations.

I can't wait to read this one - fey were always dear to me - I think its because the brownies were my favorite part of "Willow" as a kid...

Thanks for the info Cpt. I guess I missed seeing that. However, this was an actual charge, through my bank account. The $16.08 was deducted from my balance on that date.
Whatever the source, I'm not too worried. Just curious.

I'm in a similar situation as Sharoth: on 07/26 there was a charge/authorisation of $19.40 from Paizo. Somehow I can't say if it was a charge or an authorisation... though the amount seems to be charged.

Well, lets see if I get a second charge or not. Until further notice I trust the Paizo-Crew.

That's the authorization for W1. It won't be charged until we ship this week.

Mine is available too, though I'm currenty at work and cannot download it to gawk. :(

Out of curiosity, has anyone run this adventure yet? I can't afford to subscribe to both Pathfinder and the Modules, but I'd like to get a module here and there I love what I've seen of the new rose-thorned fey. Does it play as good as it looks?
