I should like to take this opportunity to give my underappreciated guanaco brothers some love. In the much heated alpaca/llama debate, due diligence is never paid guanacos.

Rise up and be noticed my camelid brethren!

Any ETA on Pathfinder #19?
This 'lil 'ole Harpy needs a swanky new image such as that portrayed on page 48.
I would be eternally grateful kind Mr. Teter Sir.

Ever notice how Paizocentric all the avatars are? Coincidence? I think not.

You mean, as in this way Vic/Gary don't have to pay for the rights to the art?

... or does Paizo?

The desire for a llama avatar has led to suffering.

Did you learn nothing from Master Yoda?

To speak English poorly from him did I learn.

Twenty or so new avatar images, from Nwah's Pathfinder Paper Minis.

Last week Crystal made a couple hundred new avatars, and they're now available for the yoinking. She told me which products she pulled them from, but I seem to have lost the list. Also, apparently they are eighty-five percent llamas.

Never get involved in a land war in Asia.

Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
Never loan Teter $20.

What's an easy way to look at them?

There really isn't an easy way, except as you page through the available icons, these will all be grouped together.

(I really wish we'd thought about tagging these things when we started, so they'd be more searchable and sortable... someday we'll go back and do that.)

You obviously have no concept of how busy I am, sir. I appreciate your confidence in my abilities, but I do have a job to do, and I fear the task you volunteered me for would preclude my completing any already-assigned or ongoing projects.

and web fiction....

Edit: and Mark - you know I was just dogging on you out of envy... and yes, I do realize how busy you are by the difference in wiki content edits since you joined the team.

-Earl (who still thinks you should push to get pictures from the web fiction posts into the CUP)

I'll poke Ross and see what happened when I get into the office. I bet he'll have them pushed through the pipe before I get in, though.

I know. Darn that internet for not being clearer about tone and inflection! As for the art, that's Vic's area of expertise (and maybe Sutter, since it's fiction art). I really have no negotiating power in getting anything in or out of the CUP, but I'm on your side.

Any chance you could open up avatars to tagging by board readers?

I'd also like to see a wider array of female head shots that aren't A) showing rictuses of pain, B) showing rictuses of fear, C) showing rictuses of *ahem* and are of the seven core 'races' of the set.

Showing male head shots looking cool, impassive or friendly is OK. Showing females not in the grips of some violent response is rare. (And most of those are elves looking studiously aloof and mysterious.)

We'll probably end up doing that eventually... but creating a useful system for that takes up programmer's time, which is in heavy demand around here...

3 people marked this as a favorite.

As of this afternoon, avatar images from the Pathfinder Adventure Paths up to Jade Regent are available for selection! There are about a total of 135 new ones for people to choose from. Additional avatars from the other product lines are still in progress, so stay tuned. :)

Can we get them organized into folders, please?

That's been on the todo list for awhile.
