An Elegant Solution

5/5

I picked this up because, despite twenty years' practice, I still frequently roll dice off the table. I also lose dice underneath papers or amongst all the other clutter on the table. The Pathfinder Dice Tray has proven an elegant solution, as it stores flat but snaps up in a few seconds to make a durable rectangular box. It actually has saved me time during the session, as I'm less likely to have to search all over for my dice or chase them across the floor. My dice still sometimes tumble out, but I blame my low Dexterity score rather than the tray itself.

My Favorite Gem from Gen Con 50

5/5

I did not even know these existed until I saw one at a Pathfinder game in the Sagamore ballroom. I picked one up at the Paizo booth the next morning and I love it. The product is very sturdy and its ability to fold down for storage is awesome. I will be picking up several of these for my home game.

Awesome!

5/5

I picked this up Thursday morning at GenCon and used it every game after that. This is a simple design and excellent to use. Good size, very portable and keeps dice contained as well as quiet when you roll them.

When stored flat it is about 10.5" x 8.25" x 1/8".

Love this tray

5/5

I got 2 of these at GenCon and the people in my group all want one. We will be getting more for sure.

They are sturdy, the clips work great and it lays flat which is great for carrying. 5 out of 5 stars.

This is kinda neat. I like the flat pack, snap up part.

My only other question would be: Is this going to be a PFS reroll item?

Looking forward to a review.

I am tempted....

I think I have a problem. I really don't need this, but there's no way I'm not getting one. :o

Same here. I almost exclusively roll digital dice these days, but I still preordered as soon as it became available for preorder. :D

$14.99 for this is a bit rich for my blood. If it were closer to $10 I'd get one. I'll wait to see if it comes up elsewhere a bit cheaper.

what size is this?

So maybe it will sell more if you get a re roll. Although I think people already have something that allows a re-roll.

If it was magnets rather than snaps I'd buy in a heartbeat but snaps just don't hold up for me with excessive use.

Roughly 8 1/4" by a little over 11 1/4" fully flat

The base tray part (bottom) is just over 5 1/4" by 8 1/2"

Hey folks, apologies for the delay in getting dimensions posted. I've added them in the description above—these are based on the widest parts of the assembled tray.

Thanks,
in modern units thats:

24cm length
17cm width
3,8cm depth

Base tray is about A5 size.

I use a dice tower but I think it is defective. Bad rolls

This looks awesome and just what I need

I saw several of these used at Gen Con and they seemed to look and function *really* well. I'm going to pick one up for myself when I can!

I also tested one out at GenCon. It's fantastic for metal dice. (Or stone, I assume, but I don't have any stone dice.)

Mine is finally on the way, and I can't wait to try it out. It seems like a really great design for its use and I appreciate how clever it opens flat to make it convenient when stuffing in between printed materials. Chavamana had a great idea to improve the product by replacing the snaps with magnets, and I may try to rig something like this myself once I have the item in hand and check out this feasibility. I would love to know how durable a material the core is made of.

The tray design will keep all the bones from scattering, and the dark background will make reading rolled bones a cinch.

Mine arrived yesterday. Christening it tomorrow. :)

Is anyone else having trouble snapping their's, or getting it to stay snapped. Mine won't stay together, and the top right snap won't even go in all the way, no matter how hard I push.

Hm, mine's worked perfectly for dozens of sessions. You might ask customer service for a replacement.

Definitely sounds like a dud to me. I unclip and reclip mine each week and all four are still holding tight just fine.

Thanks. I guess I'll be giving them a call.
