Your idea of self-censorship's nature is a little askewed. It isn't merely changing an aspect of your work because you dislike it. That would be such a mundane act that nobody could feasibly define it as an act of censorship at all. Self-censorship is the act of censoring your own work. This is done out of fear of, or deference to, the sensibilities or preferences (actual or perceived) of others. So it is less about whether you dislike as the artist dislike it, and more about whether your audience dislikes it. I am hardly surprised that some could be opposed to seeing artists compromise their integrity over something as fickle as the public opinion.
Knight who says Meh wrote: And now I’m deeply disappointed in the Paizo community... I am sure the Paizo community is crushed by your disappointment. And of course our juridical systems aren't tilted in the favor of the accusor. It is considered to be a fundamental human right and article 11 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights explicitly states that everyone should have the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Kobold Cleaver wrote:
Because the presumption of innocence is and has been the corner-stone of any enlightened juridical system and society, and has been so since the early Roman Republic and from that moment forward. Only in the darkest reaches of the medieval era did we fall back into the presumption of the inherent guilt of accused.
Urgathoa, The Pallid Princess. My number one greatest fear is, and will no doubt continue to be, to cease being and my sentience ending. Beyond that, I am rather self-indulgent, so her hedonistic ideals fit me rather well. If I ever should archive undeath as a necromancer, I most likely wouldn't be the type that would run around, raising mindless ghouls or skeletons left or right, I would barricade myself up in a library and remain there, reading till' the world comes to an end. Other like-minded undead would be welcome.
Wha-... Are you sure that you are playing Pathfinder? Are you sure you truly wish to continue to play with a friend that is willingly ruining other player's enjoyment of the game? This whole set-up is just so strange to me, for some reason. People being resurrected by deities? Fire damage immunities by level 3? Ruling over 200 orc soldiers? I can only say that your manner of playing the game is so exotic, that I can hardly relate to it at all.

With the lordly and mighty technical knowledge that we all know that Sarcon is brimming with. If we level up, which I suspect we might, I can create you a couple of undead servants, if you desire to command an army.

I am having a VERY good time. I have never had this much raw materials nearby, without being liable to be hunted down if I used it. I am thinking something along the line of flaming skeletons, just to have a pinch of the ironic in their conversion.

If you join us, you will get the customary dark robe, a quirky and yet tense relationship with Sarcon and we will even let you have the lower half of Crystal's body. The last part is just a bonus, seeing as you have shown interest in her.
My biggest concern with Jared Leto's Joker might be the lacking recognizably appearance. When you look at Heath Ledger's Joker, you instantly recognize it as the Joker, despite of the fact that they played with his appearance. I do not get the same wipe from Leto's Joker. There is visual cues that hints at it being the Joker, the glove and the dyed hair being prime examples. But when I peer at him, it isn't the Joker that springs to mind. Rather, when I see those tattoos and those filed teeth, I cannot help but think that it appears as one of the Joker's punk henchmen.

The rain had been thrashing uncompromisingly against the small timber lodge all day, stopped only provisionally by blinding flash of lightening, followed naturally by a clap of thunder. Jake Beaumont had remained restlessly inside, despite of his eagerness to fulfill his set quota of wood. After all, the Aspis Consortium did not look kindly upon those workers who failed to provide them with the required allocation of resources. The Consortium was, in fact, known for being rather aggressive towards those employees who failed to fulfill their job properly. As he sat in these very thoughts, pondering over his worried existence and the looming threat of his employers, he suddenly realized that his window had been broken and that a skeleton was currently stabbing him rather furiously in his face. A few hours later, as his skull had been stripped from his body, its flesh removed, had undergone a magical ritual and had been placed inside a leather satchel, he no longer worried over such trivial matters.

Time to initiate my mad man-hunt. Cue the cut-scene to an undead skeleton chasing a lonely, old farmer through his cornfields, all while the skeleton laughs manically and swings its feral claws around. Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Or, just in case I can use my ENOURMOUS knowledge of the local area to find ol' man Jebberson's lonely cabin. Local: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Depending on their own actions, we will have a range of possible benefits but also a minor range of possible disastrous events. Due to my blatant disregard of the negatives, I will be concentrating primarily on the positive rewards. First of all, no what they do, they will be wasting time on discussing their course of action. With their slower posting rate, we will be provided extra time to locate Crystal. In a best case scenario, they will fight the fight for us and Crystal will be bought into our custody. In a slightly less good, but still quite brilliant level, they will fight for us and then we take Crystal from them. And the only thing we lost was the fact that Crystal had been kidnapped, they have no way of knowing if she has been turned. Heck, our group doesn't even know that yet. |
