Your idea of self-censorship's nature is a little askewed. It isn't merely changing an aspect of your work because you dislike it. That would be such a mundane act that nobody could feasibly define it as an act of censorship at all. Self-censorship is the act of censoring your own work. This is done out of fear of, or deference to, the sensibilities or preferences (actual or perceived) of others. So it is less about whether you dislike as the artist dislike it, and more about whether your audience dislikes it. I am hardly surprised that some could be opposed to seeing artists compromise their integrity over something as fickle as the public opinion.

Yeah, people saying that there is no proof and that jumping to conclusions is dangerouc, could be rather predictable when there IS no proof and people are jumping to dangerous conclusions.

And of course our juridical systems aren't tilted in the favor of the accusor. It is considered to be a fundamental human right and article 11 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights explicitly states that everyone should have the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Kobold Cleaver wrote:
Because the presumption of innocence is and has been the corner-stone of any enlightened juridical system and society, and has been so since the early Roman Republic and from that moment forward. Only in the darkest reaches of the medieval era did we fall back into the presumption of the inherent guilt of accused.

Hold on, I don't mean to inject into the discussion, but what is this about a shapeshifter coming out soon? What is the source? I have been dying to play a proper shapeshifter, since I looked at the meta-morph, but the mechanical side of things was just a bit too lack-luster for me.
Earlier this year, I was making my very first wizard for a private campaign and I decided that I would want to use an archtype that caught my eye. Namely the Exploiter Wizard. My GM at the time, made a ruling that the Exploiter Wizard's Arcane Reservoir class ability only allowed the wizard to account his wizard levels instead of arcanist levels for the purpose of the Arcane Reservoir's maximum pool, but not for the daily recovery of daily points. Meaning that he would be stuck with 3 points per day, no matter his level. At the time I thought nothing at in, seeing as my GM was far more experienced and claimed that he was correct. The campaign didn't last for too long, the GM seemed fonder of tormenting his players rather than allowing us to have pleasant role-playing experience. It was all rather chaotic. Nevertheless, now that I am looking back at the Exploiter Wizard, I was reading up on the Exploiter Wizard's Arcane Reservoir ability again and while the language seems to be a little vague, I am not seeing anything that would lead to such a ruling. What is the forum's thoughts? Are the wizard levels only used for the purpose of the maximum pool or also for the daily recovery of points?
I will not pretend that I am worried about the consequences of a Trump presidency, primarily because I suspect that most of the man's initial rhetoric was done to win the nomination within the party and as far as I have seen, he is already commiting a lurch to the left in the few policy announcements that has been released since he became the President-elect. That being said, he announced that homosexual civil unions is a "settled law" yesterday.
After peering at the Metamorph archtype for the alchemist class, I notice that nothing replaces the bonus Brew Potion feat.
Is this an error?
Urgathoa, The Pallid Princess. My number one greatest fear is, and will no doubt continue to be, to cease being and my sentience ending. Beyond that, I am rather self-indulgent, so her hedonistic ideals fit me rather well. If I ever should archive undeath as a necromancer, I most likely wouldn't be the type that would run around, raising mindless ghouls or skeletons left or right, I would barricade myself up in a library and remain there, reading till' the world comes to an end. Other like-minded undead would be welcome.
Wha-... Are you sure that you are playing Pathfinder? Are you sure you truly wish to continue to play with a friend that is willingly ruining other player's enjoyment of the game? This whole set-up is just so strange to me, for some reason. People being resurrected by deities? Fire damage immunities by level 3? Ruling over 200 orc soldiers? I can only say that your manner of playing the game is so exotic, that I can hardly relate to it at all.
I am not too certain about the LN label of the character, and while I understand the perspective you are attempting to reason from, I vehemently disagree. While having good and noble intentions is all well and good, it should be the actions of the character that defines him. So, if he in his attempt to rule the world and drive out all who oppose him is willing to commit great acts of evil, then it seems to me that he is the very definition of LE. While he thinks it is all for the "greater good", it seems evident that he is a force of evil.

Victor uses a couple of moments on gather the neat little pile of scrolls that he had created during the week, he quickly shoves them all into the countless crevices and folds of his loose hanging robes, strips on his mask and continues to the gate of the Keep. "I have not heard of such a spell, however, we might very well be able to locate some manner of relics that will attune both our Lady and you to the Plane of Negative Energy. I seem to recall some manner of rule having to do with familiars and how they leave their masters, if said masters should become undead. I have been scouring the internet for any reference to it, but nothing is coming up. Could I possibly be misremembering it?

Smooth-worn bone grinds against rock as Victor dumps himself into his cold stone throne. His spine comes to rest against the throne’s back, as he supports his cranium with the ridge of his hand. He sits there for a moment, merely waiting for Crystal to abandon the immediate vicinity of the throne-room before he continues.
Victor works himself into a fervour, his arguments and verses nearly being spit out.

Flashback to the group’s return to their throne-room and Crystal.
The empty void that once contained his eyes and is currently provides a rather excessive peak into the inside of his empty cranium, tilts downwards slightly. With a tone of a slightly engrossed yet dry academician, he begins muttering in a controlled yet curious air: ”Your physical facial features have not changed in any radical manner, with the possible exception of having gained a marginally more outstanding set of cheekbones. The femininity of your facial skull structure seems to have been remarkably well preserved, considering the usual effect of undergoing even a short-time span under the effect of rigor mortis.” His skeletal fingers grasps at the crest of her wrist, and even if he was stopped from, touching her, he still proceeds with the same analytical scrutiny. “Sanguine vampiris usually has a rather visible effect on the skin; however, you seem to have escaped the worst ramifications and implications. That could be chalked down to your early stage, but I will have to keep an eye out for it. Your emotional instability is no doubt a consequence of the bloodlust or a direct ramification of how your own self-image is adapting to sanguine vampiris. Peculiar, to say the least.”

On the first day, a proposal from Victor arrives that states that he needs a steady supply of corpses, both ancient and newly made. He would prefer to have the harvested corpses of those half-orcs and orcs they murdered earlier. The proposal is given to both Crystal, Victoria and Sarcon by a Crystal-zombie. - Victor, while still feeling under the weather due to the fact that he cannot escape the feeling that he just lost the chance at incredible power, uses most of his time propped in his tower room, crafting scrolls and studying the tome he successfully managed to steal from the vampire.

There are certain paizo created templates that could be utilized, such as this one:
Or if you would care to be a non-magical construct, then there is the clockwork template:
I also believe there is classes that could be taken instead, seeing as our sadistic GM insists on STEALING MY SPELLCASTING LEVELS, so the effect would be the same:
There is another base class, 3rd party, but I cannot seem to locate it at the moment.

Spoiler:
A few years after his second decade, Nevaal’s house had fallen to a rival drow family’s assault. As a male scout serving a noble family, he knew that there would be no mercy for him even if he were to survive the raid. Only priestesses and descendents of the main line would even be considered for adoption into another house. For Nevaal, his only options were to face death at the hands of drow, or escape to the depths of the underworld. Using a network of similar houseless drow littered throughout the various cave systems, Nevaal made plans to travel to the overworld and discarded his past identity. He denied his heritage, discarding the habits and ways of his people. Nevaal threw away his house’s name and created a name of his own liking. He traded the spider embroidered armor of the drow for traveler’s clothes and a common set of leather armor.. He then cut his hair short to defy the standards of his people as another act of defiance towards his past. Over time, he gained the skills and knowledge of how to conceal his identity from the people on the surface and how to walk amongst them, undetected. Nevaal’s ability to blend in and hide within the shadows helped him get from place to place, but when he needed to make contact with civilization to trade for goods and supplies, hiding alone was no longer good enough. He had to learn how to disguise his features so that he may interact with traders in the cities without alarming them. His first few years were rough on the surface, but eventually he learned how to hide his features well and adapted to the mannerism of surface people. Now he travels the world, not staying in one place for too long for fear of being identified as a drow. Over his near century of life, his time with the people of the surface has taught him to appreciate life and the simple things that make it what it is. -------------------- Description: --------------------
Spoiler:
Nevaal is a thin man, even for drow standards, just shy of his first century of age. A male exile of the underdark with no house to claim him is worth less than nothing in drow society. The traditional long hair and spider adorned garments of drow noblemen did not suit the runaway in the least. To be able to walk freely in the overworld, Nevaal has to hide his appearance lest he alarm a surface dweller or be spotted by a drow scout. Long travelers’ clothing, a cloak, and gloves cover the majority of his ebony skin, and a hood does well to hide most of his telling drow features; a scarf and some bandages help to cover the rest of his face. A mixture of various berries and plants make a suitable dye to discolor his hair and visible skin, just in case a curious onlooker tries to have a closer look. Lastly, Nevaal cuts his unkempt hair with his knives as another act of defiance against his heritage. Unfortunately for him, the use of a dagger and the lack of a mirror make for a rather messy and uneven haircut. Luckily, his hair is usually hidden underneath his hood and away from judging critics. |
