Thereus tries to peer through the fog with his goz mask to spot the half-orc.

Thereus is but a combat build and the beginning of this scenario has been more of a crowd control/influence problem (it seems like combat to subdue the Torch groups is a possibility, but maybe unwise). I could aid with a diplomacy check, but I'm afraid I can't really do much more. I have no problem with the casters doing the heavy lifting to secure the lodge.

"I apologize. I would have come sooner but I was seeing my brother and sister off. They head to the nation of Lastwall to counter the great threat you have spoken of. Perhaps if this mission is brief, I may join them there as well."

Regarding the mission presentation, Thereus struggles to keep up with the conversation, and certainly defers to those more traveled or knowledgeable. But he does offer one question.

"So you say the time has come to kill the Grandmaster. I'll assume he has been given due process as his deeds are legendary, if not complicated. What of the gnome woman? Are we simply to execute her at your behest as well?"
