![]() Okay, just on first impressions alone I am really liking both the Animist and the Exemplar. I'm excited that my crew and I will have 5 Fridays to sink our collective teeth and really try these classes. (I've always wanted to participate in a Pathfinder playtest). And absolutely excited for War of Immortals! ![]()

![]() I am completely excited for this play test and the classes to come. I asked my players if they're interested in being a part of the play test and they ARE! (for work related reasons we're losing one of our players for roughly 2 months (September and October) and so it's been agreed that's when we'll be diving into the play test). I'll have 3 players (plus myself) but at times I may only have 2 players (one of the remaining players works retail, so his schedule is tough to predict). I'm really hoping to have some good game play feedback to give. I've never been able to participate in a Paizo playtest before, so I am very excited to have a chance with 2nd edition. ![]() I've said it elsewhere, but I'm very excited for the 2nd edition of Starfinder because I have had this idea for a Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover (homebrew) AP and having both games utilize the same system will make it that much easier for me. A lot of folks list their worries or concerns, their wishlists and whatnot ... but for me the one thing I'm hoping for is that Starfinder 2e has "dedication" feats like PF2e has, and that they're roughly seamless (in so far that you could have say a soldier with the champion dedication for example). And as many have said, I trust Paizo to deliver the goods. :) ![]()

![]() This is definitely on my list of must haves. (I just started a PF2e game, and I'm excited for the potential with the player characters and the players themselves. (Running The Fall of Plaguestone for them now) after that, there's talk of them sticking around Etran's Folly and one of the PCs has a storyline we're fleshing out (and then a redemption arc) and I think to culminate everything with running Stolen Fate for them (so I'll definitely want this Harrow Deck). Lol! that was a long winded way to go about why I want it. :P ![]()

![]() Whoa! I'm completely blindsided by the fact that we're getting a PF playtest on September 1st!!! (I'm SUPER excited and really hope to be able to participate in this playtest). I'm loving the speculation of who/what these new classes and their respective iconics are or represent. I'm seeing a trend or maybe I mean a theme ... but demigod and animist seem to be the most frequently used terms, and I personally like the ideas behind both. Man oh man ... is it September 1st yet? ![]() Wow! I’ll have to come back and read more of folks reactions to the SF2e news, but I for one am VERY excited (as I have wanted to craft a Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover game for a while now). Seems it’ll be much easier in a couple years. Ha! Or maybe (just maybe) Paizo will DO a crossover AP (3 parts in PF & 3 parts in SF). That would be fun to see! Anyway I’m very excited about this announcement. Oh and what the what?!? (RE: Zon-Shelyn)!?! ![]()

![]() I don’t know if this was mentioned or not, but when Howl of the Wild comes out IS there going to be an Adventure Path featuring the crew of the Zoetrope as NPCs and we journey with them to find the new Wardens? Cuz that’d be cool! Count me in! ![]()

![]() Will a print version of this adventure ever be available again? (I'm looking to start up a new PF2e game and I'd really like to run this module for my players. (Lots are long-time friends/gamers) others are new to it (and most/all) are new to Pathfinder 2e. (Worst case scenario I realize I could buy and download the PDF) but I'd really like to have a print copy. Thanks in advance for your time. Dean; The_Minstrel_Wyrm ![]()

![]() Happy Pride fellow beloved Paizoians! I've been away for a while (nothing to do with negative treatment or any such nonsense as that) finances and struggling with what I can and cannot afford to do. But gaming and Paizo are such a big part of my life, and I've missed it, missed this wonderful community, and missed receiving boxes or sturdy media-mail envelopes every month. :) So, I'm happy to say I'm back, and very soon I'll be back subscribing and back running Pathfinder and even my first Starfinder game! ![]() I am extremely excited for this book release. (I had said elsewhere that I'm really feeling nostalgic for both Pathfinder and Starfinder and I'm seriously thinking about getting back into these RPG systems/settings. Howl of the Wild looks and sounds amazing, incredible, and FUN! Not familiar with Kent Hamilton but his artwork is stunning. The attention to minute details is awe-inspiring. I'll definitely be picking up this book. (Related question ... will there be a pocket edition? It's become my new favorite style for RPG books). Not a deal-breaker if not (it seems to me that the Lost Omens books don't have pocket editions). Not sure if I'll re-subscribe to the RPG line or not. But seriously thinking about re-subscribing to the AP line. Thanks for rekindling my interest in Pathfinder (and Starfinder). Dean ![]()

![]() I'm sorry I missed out the opportunity to take part in the Dark Archive playtest (just got back into gaming in general and PF2e specifically) about a month ago. Both classes sound incredibly fun, for various reasons, and as others have said the 1e Occultist was a favorite of mine (I played one in Mummy's Mask and had a blast doing so), and with having said that I'm looking forward to the finished product and reading all about the Thaumaturge, and the Psychic. ![]() I had no idea that PF2e even had a book like Guns and Gears out on bookshelves in friendly local bookstores! (Happened upon "Secrets of Magic" in pocket edition at Barnes and Noble and could NOT resist, I bought it on the spot (and saw the "ad" for Guns and Gears) and knew, just KNEW that I'd get it (but I'm going to wait for the pocket edition) I think that's my new favorite size/style. Nhalmika is a fantastic character, kudos Ron for your wondrous weaving of words! I'd love to see an AP cover with Nhalmika and Ija ... I think that'd be cute and awesome (especially if Wayne Reynolds is available to do it)! :) I've been "away" from Paizo and gaming in general for a couple years (a story for another time) but I feel the pull of Paizo calling me back! Thank you everyone at Paizo for everything that you do! Regards, Dean; The_Minstrel_Wyrm ![]()

![]() I hate to say it, but the 2e iconic heroes look INCREDIBLY bad. Not at all close to the previous PF iconic characters, and certainly not even close to the quality of the Legendary Adventures preview set of miniatures. WizKids, back to the drawing board. Please. ![]()

![]() Had to share my 2 coppers as well! Absolutely loved the first part of the PF2E adventure path. I very much want to run this for a group of my friends, that are frankly struggling with PF1e ... as it seems 2e will be an easier introductory game to teach/learn to new or newer players. So much about this adventure path to love. Well done everyone! ![]()

![]() Admittedly I am excited to run “Age of Ashes” ... I just really like the adventure as presented and the adventure toolbox is extremely fun and helpful. But I’m also very strongly considering a home brew campaign and a crossover at that (yes, I still want to attempt my Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover adventure path idea) and just on the surface (reading/seeing monster stat blocks, and NPC stat blocks from “Hellknight Hill” ... I honestly feel PF2e and SF are similar enough that it’ll be easier to accomplish this sort of home brew idea. (And to think, I wasn’t originally gonna even LOOK at PF2e). :P ![]()

![]() Hey there,
Anyway ... I’ve decided that after I conclude Reign of Winter ... I’m going to homebrew my own Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover AP. (Set it in a 25-30 year future, for my own reasons (mostly to allow for “legacy” heroes/characters ... offspring of past PCs). It’s looking pretty HUGE at this point a 10 part AP incorporating both settings (separately at first, then together for the last two parts). And I like what I’ve come up with thus far. When I have a little better idea/ or a more complete adventure “blurbs” for each part ... I might share it, more for the fun of letting you guys read it, and MAYBE for some critiques/feedback/constructive criticism. Cheers ![]()

![]() Hello,
Maybe it’s my love of comic books and the “annual” crossovers that used to be a BIG deal back in the day ... but I do think this would be a neat idea. (Of course if the rules are too far apart, too different ... it may not work at all). I didn’t feel this was a “Starfinder” post nor strictly a “Pathfinder” post ... that’s why I placed it in general discussion. (If that was wrong, I’m sorry). So, what are your thoughts (whoever might be reading this)? And ... discuss! ;-) ![]()

![]() I shall put in my two coppers now ... :) First and foremost I'd vote for Curse of the Crimson Throne to get an Anniversary Edition treatment (and the aforementioned 2017 being the 10th anniversary is compelling as well). But the ideas being mentioned here about Second Darkness I find nearly equally compelling. So, perhaps CotCT for the 10th anniversary (i.e. 2017) and the maybe Second Darkness in time for 2022 (aka the 15th anniversary). ***Although I would want to have it sooner if I'm being completely honest.*** And assuming it has a chance of happening at all. ![]() This sounds like a system I could enjoy. And it also sounds like a system that some of my other players (that are new to RPGs in general) could enjoy as well. Like Chuck Wright said a few posts above he feels he could teach this (D&D Next/5e) to his 5-year-old ... heh heh not that some of my players are 5 yr olds ... but a simpler rules set might be easier on them. ;) ![]()

![]() I am looking forward to D&D Next/5e ... I'm excited to see that Forgotten Realms is the initial "setting" (FR has been my favorite campaign setting since I got into D&D way back in the late 80's early 90's). I will get the starter set (actually off July 15th) and may even download the free basic D&D PDF for my players to peruse. Not sure if there will be a "switch" ... but I for one love knowing that "Tyranny of Dragons" was outsourced to Kobold Press! Knowing that Wolfgang Baur and Steve Winter worked on Tyranny of Dragons makes me believe it will be a FANTASTIC adventure/campaign/storyline. So, I'm considering it strongly. (Oh, not necessarily switching mind you, I'll actually get to be a player in Mummy's Mask (later this year) as I'm wrapping up Rise of the Runelords). But likely running the Tyranny of Dragons adventures ... I hope. ~Dean ![]()

![]() I know, I know ... "Wrath of the Righteous" hasn't (quite) concluded yet ... but I've been thinking about this since "Mythic Origins" came out and decided to start this/ask this question. (If it's been asked elsewhere or before forgive me) ... anyway, I happen to think that the next Mythic AP (say around 2016 or 2017) should occur on Iblydos (Golarion's analog to Greece) ... and it could have a very "12 Tasks of Hercules" vibe ... or even "The Odyssey" or "Jason and the Argonauts" or heck all three of those stories. The Developers at Paizo now have a pretty good idea about crafting an AP that makes use of their "Mythic Adventures" HC ... and they likely have enough feedback to know what worked and what didn't for their first mythic AP ... that another one in the near future isn't out of the realm of possibility. So I say that the next Mythic AP is set on Iblydos ... and to accompany that we could get a "People of the Isles" Player Companion (or whatever an Iblydos player companion would be called) as well as a 64 page Campaign Setting Iblydos Gazetteer. Thoughts? Opinions? Comments? Dean ![]()

![]() Well I for one am very happy about this encounter pack for Reign or Winter (and also the forthcoming Reign of Winter PF Battles case in April) - is there ANY chance that we could see a second encounter pack for Reign of Winter with say Baba Yaga's Dancing Hut and one of those animated Russian Tanks? That would be fairly awesome (and it sounds like folks really want to see the Dancing Hut at least). ~Dean ![]()

Hmm. Elyas, you ask a very good question (or series of questions). And while I can certainly understand that some folks might feel PFRPG has too many base classes, I like the number of classes ("core", "base", and "alternate") that we have now. I can't honestly think of any niches or roles that aren't covered in some form or another. The archetypes really seem to be the new "darling" of PFRPG. And I like these as well. I guess I'd say we have just enough. But, that's just my opinion. :) ~Dean
