I seriously liked all of them, they weren’t all “core” races and of course being designed by Wayne Reynolds was ALWAYS a plus. (They were designed by him, right)?

Does Paizo have the rights to these characters? Does Mr. Reynolds (hopefully WotC/Hasbro doesn’t).

If Paizo owns them, I’d love to see them return in some form, some way.

Ooooh color me intrigued! I might just have to snag this when it comes out.

Hello customer service,

I just noticed that the above mentioned order was declined? I truly think there's been a hiccup on your end again in which your system used the wrong card (I thought that had been taken care of).

If you could please check and run my card again (it's a Mastercard not a Visa).

I've been expecting Lost Omens: Highhelm and wondered why it hasn't arrived. Now at least I know why.

Thank you.

Even though I’m the GM for my group, I can’t help but think about potential animists and exemplars I’d want to create/play. I think an iruxi animist would be cool and a matajjn (sp?) orc exemplar sounds epic! (I might have to play around with this). Oh! A catfolk exemplar whose divine spark comes from Chohar! Ooooh! Yes!

All right, gonna play around now.

Okay, just on first impressions alone I am really liking both the Animist and the Exemplar. I'm excited that my crew and I will have 5 Fridays to sink our collective teeth and really try these classes. (I've always wanted to participate in a Pathfinder playtest).

And absolutely excited for War of Immortals!

I am completely excited for this play test and the classes to come. I asked my players if they're interested in being a part of the play test and they ARE! (for work related reasons we're losing one of our players for roughly 2 months (September and October) and so it's been agreed that's when we'll be diving into the play test).

I'll have 3 players (plus myself) but at times I may only have 2 players (one of the remaining players works retail, so his schedule is tough to predict).

I'm really hoping to have some good game play feedback to give. I've never been able to participate in a Paizo playtest before, so I am very excited to have a chance with 2nd edition.

I've said it elsewhere, but I'm very excited for the 2nd edition of Starfinder because I have had this idea for a Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover (homebrew) AP and having both games utilize the same system will make it that much easier for me.

A lot of folks list their worries or concerns, their wishlists and whatnot ... but for me the one thing I'm hoping for is that Starfinder 2e has "dedication" feats like PF2e has, and that they're roughly seamless (in so far that you could have say a soldier with the champion dedication for example).

And as many have said, I trust Paizo to deliver the goods. :)

This is definitely on my list of must haves. (I just started a PF2e game, and I'm excited for the potential with the player characters and the players themselves. (Running The Fall of Plaguestone for them now) after that, there's talk of them sticking around Etran's Folly and one of the PCs has a storyline we're fleshing out (and then a redemption arc) and I think to culminate everything with running Stolen Fate for them (so I'll definitely want this Harrow Deck).

Lol! that was a long winded way to go about why I want it. :P

It just matches so perfectly with the theme.

Part of full compatibility with PF2 means you can play a Psychic right out the gate. You won’t see a separate psionics system - it’s just a kind of magic in this setting.

Y’know I was actually thinking about an NPC I’d write-up/stat out for my PF/SF crossover… a lashunta psychic w/ the mystic dedication. (Really hoping SF2e will have the class dedication feats like PF2e does). Imagine all the neat combos!

One important note that Michael Sayre mentioned during the GenCon Keynote when announcing the class playtest, was that a whole lot of him and James Case can be found within these classes. And given our knowledge of both of their cultural backgrounds, I can certainly see that.

Michael Sayre has roots from the Alaskan Tlingit, a group of indigenous people from the Pacific Northwest of North America. Originally, I'd have bet that Mike's class would've been a martial character like the Gunslinger, but perhaps he did the indigenous-looking caster class instead. "Animist" seems like a safe call then, especially when Mike has talked about wanting to redo the Shaman class in PF2E from the ground up with more culturally-relevant abilities to them.

James Case's roots are also relevant, as some have pointed out the Māori/Hawaiian/Polynesian look of the other class. Given James is in fact Hawaiian, I can see his cultural perspective being given form here. I would've bet, seeing as James worked on PF2E's Psychic and the Remaster's Wizard and Witch, that he'd do the caster class. But instead, maybe the tattoo'd martial class would be a better fit for him here. And the thought of a Rare Hawaiian-inspired "Herogod/Demigod" class (akin to Maui from Hawaiian myth) really gets me super excited to play!

EDIT: And for those pointing out how these Iconics might tie into Arcadia, that makes sense! A lot of Arcadia's influence comes from the fact it's based on the Americas, so Mike and James' cultural influences would make sense to have these characters hail from Arcadia!

Oooh that’s super cool!

Whoa! I'm completely blindsided by the fact that we're getting a PF playtest on September 1st!!! (I'm SUPER excited and really hope to be able to participate in this playtest).

I'm loving the speculation of who/what these new classes and their respective iconics are or represent. I'm seeing a trend or maybe I mean a theme ... but demigod and animist seem to be the most frequently used terms, and I personally like the ideas behind both.

Man oh man ... is it September 1st yet?

I’m with the majority here, I very much enjoyed this post. (Sounds like the Operative is the next field test, was kinda hoping for the mystic honestly). But either way, I’m looking forward to the next field test.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Hello Starfinder community! (I've been away for a while and I'm happy to say I'm back and starting my subscriptions again). With the announcement of Starfinder 2e I'm eager to get back into the SF setting (but will likely wait until 2e launches) however having said that, that Drift Crisis stuff looks intriguing. It also seems like the SF APs have ... halted (perhaps until 2e arrives)? (I'm sorry I missed "Drift Crisis" when it started and I'm really considering getting the AP chapters for Drift Crashers and Drift Hackers) ... as I understand (though perhaps incorrectly) that a major shake-up happens in those adventures. (And I'd just like to have that information handy).

So, would it be worthwhile to resubscribe to Starfinder (rulebooks and APs) now? Or would it smarter to wait?

Regards,

The_Minstrel_Wyrm

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

I for one am completely excited for the coming of SF2e (as I've said previously maybe with this I'll finally be able to create my Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover adventure path). I recently recovered several of the adventure "titles" I had worked up, and as someone stated about the recent "Drift Crisis" SF APs my crossover idea is definitely an homage to those yearly comic book events that I loved growing up as a kid. So for that reason alone I am completely and totally stoked for SF2e!

Oh, I downloaded and printed out the first field test and I really like it. (I'm guessing a future field test might be for the 2e SF Mystic)? I sure hope so.

Oh a related question (although perhaps there's a better place to ask) but I noticed that the SF AP line seems ... almost nonexistent ... is that by design (like are you folks just waiting for 2e to launch and then there will be Starfinder APs again)?

I intend to resubscribe to the Starfinder books and possibly the APs ... but definitely want to wait until SF2e launches (or should I say, closer to its launch).

Regards,

The_Minstrel_Wyrm

Wow! I’ll have to come back and read more of folks reactions to the SF2e news, but I for one am VERY excited (as I have wanted to craft a Pathfinder/Starfinder crossover game for a while now). Seems it’ll be much easier in a couple years.

Ha! Or maybe (just maybe) Paizo will DO a crossover AP (3 parts in PF & 3 parts in SF). That would be fun to see!

Anyway I’m very excited about this announcement. Oh and what the what?!? (RE: Zon-Shelyn)!?!

So just an update, I did manage to get a copy of the Fall of Plaguestone (it's a little beat up, but that's okay).
Anyway ... I might have 7 players!!! So ... I'm definitely going to need to beef up the encounters, but I'm not sure if I need to increase every encounter in the adventure. (Obviously adding enemies/creatures is easiest) but with certain encounters (boss encounters) would increasing their HD and abilities be smarter?

I'm still somewhat new to PF2e and I'm not sure what I should do to keep the adventure challenging for a larger group.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

In roughly a month I'm going to start a new group w/ PF2e and run The Fall of Plaguestone as the groups intro to 2e. Knowing that Etran's Folly is in or near Isger, I'd love some additional information on Isger, maybe seeing Etran's Folly on an updated map (just for a point of reference).

But a lot of what everyone has offered or suggested is certainly very interesting.

… I have a player asking me what’s the most racist region in Golarion. (I actually think he means more human-centric) but maybe having a low opinion or even a low tolerance for non-humans.

He’s going to be playing a human Champion/Redeemer and I’m wondering if he’s looking to set up something BIG for his character to overcome like an injustice to fight, or something along those lines.

(When I thought he was just asking for human-centric regions I suggested Absalom or Taldor) but then he throws racist into the equation so I thought probably Cheliax?

If it helps, I’ll be running The Fall of Plaguestone for him and the rest of the group.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello.
As the title says, I’m curious if there’s any thoughts on Mythic Adventures getting a 2e revision. Part of the reason I’m asking, I’m in a Facebook Pathfinder group and members were posting their favorite PF art. Someone posted a scene of Shelyn and Zon-Kuthon fighting (and it looks like Shelyn is attempting to disarm Zon-Kuthon of his Glaive (that is currently her Glaive)). Any that sparked the idea of an AP (1-20 and possibly new Mythic rules) of bringing Dou-Bral back and ending the tyranny/influence of Zon-Kuthon. (Not sure how to really explain it better).

Anyway it sounds like a potentially interesting AP.

Happy Pride fellow beloved Paizoians!

I've been away for a while (nothing to do with negative treatment or any such nonsense as that) finances and struggling with what I can and cannot afford to do.

But gaming and Paizo are such a big part of my life, and I've missed it, missed this wonderful community, and missed receiving boxes or sturdy media-mail envelopes every month. :)

So, I'm happy to say I'm back, and very soon I'll be back subscribing and back running Pathfinder and even my first Starfinder game! (Very exciting for this soon to be 54 year old gamer).

Howl of the Wild looks and sounds amazing, incredible, and FUN! Not familiar with Kent Hamilton but his artwork is stunning. The attention to minute details is awe-inspiring. I'll definitely be picking up this book. (Related question ... will there be a pocket edition? It's become my new favorite style for RPG books).

Not a deal-breaker if not (it seems to me that the Lost Omens books don't have pocket editions).

Not sure if I'll re-subscribe to the RPG line or not. But seriously thinking about re-subscribing to the AP line.

Thanks for rekindling my interest in Pathfinder (and Starfinder).

Greetings Paizo customer service team.

After a couple years away from gaming in general, I've found myself getting back into Pathfinder 2e and subscribing to the Adventure Paths once again.

I was all prepared to update things (card to use, new address etc) and I forgot to update my payment method before completing my subscription order. :P

(guess I was excited to be a subscriber again).

I'd like to start my AP subscription with Strength of Thousands part 5 of 6 (can't remember the AP number) but it's stuck in my side-cart right now.

I've since entered my new payment method (hopefully it saved) as well as marked to remove the old/expired payment method.

If I could get a little help getting things situated I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Hi fellow PF2E GMs.
I’m going to be starting TFoP in a couple weeks (character creation nearly finalized) and they’ve all chosen backgrounds from the adventure module. If you used the side quests provided, at what points in the adventure did you slot those quests in?

I’ve got a human male cleric of Shelyn (Missionary background)
A ratfolk male swashbuckler (Teamster background)
A half-elf male sorcerer (Hag bloodline, and Lesser Scion background)
And a half-orc male fighter (Lost and Alone background).

It’s a very interesting group and I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens with The Fall of Plaguestone.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I had no idea that PF2e even had a book like Guns and Gears out on bookshelves in friendly local bookstores! Nhalmika is a fantastic character, kudos Ron for your wondrous weaving of words! I'd love to see an AP cover with Nhalmika and Ija ... I think that'd be cute and awesome (especially if Wayne Reynolds is available to do it)! :)

Good evening from Pennsylvania!

The subject pretty much says it all, I'm wondering if the last 2 Adventure Paths that were written for D&D v.3.5 rules are going to see a conversion to the 2e Pathfinder rules?

Long before the arrival of 2e (which I enjoy, even if I haven't had an opportunity to run any 2e games, something I'm hoping to change soon) anyway, before PF2e I was on that "bandwagon" of fans hoping for a Second Darkness PF1e hardcover and a Legacy of Fire PF1e hardcover. Now that 2e has been around for a couple years, I find myself wondering if these adventures (which I truly enjoyed reading) and even ran for my players ... I think these deserve to be converted. (Unless I misunderstood something I read about a year ago) Kingmaker is getting a 2e conversion/compilation (and while Kingmaker is a good AP and worthy of conversion) I feel Second Darkness and Legacy of Fire are equally deserving.

I remember from the messageboards of APs past that there were "problems" with Second Darkness (something that I'm sure can be fixed, but the overall story/adventure is pretty solid in my opinion) while Legacy of Fire is just a beautiful Arabian Nights-esqe story and adventure that hit all the marks as a wonderful homage to those types of stories.

I don't know if I'm the first to ask this, or if I'm just the next in a long line of fans that have inquired about it, and I know you folks are VERY busy ... but if there's any hope, any chance of a 2e conversion/hardcover compilation for Second Darkness and/or Legacy of Fire ... you have built-in sales for one of each. ;)
