Sohar stumbles a bit, shaking his head and growling, unhappy that another being is rooting around in there. And our reward for this task?

"Brother... Thumps..., that seems likely to be neither a persuasive, nor a helpful argument," Sohar observes drily.

Surprised at being asked his opinion, Sohar takes a moment to choose his words. "It seems that it will be safer than traveling through the wilderness, and we will defeat them much sooner, though it may not be the only way, Brother Molok," he answers as truthfully as he can.

Sohar, while excited by the prospect of air travel, does not care about the workings of the ship. He will join in on the hunt while also keeping an eye out for signs of the wyrmling.

Sohar observes warily as the group is foiled again, just dodging the storm. He starts backing away for the third attempt.

"Where is the little guy going?," Sohar asks as Elain runs off. "Uh-oh," he offers up sagely upon seeing the monster. With a small flourish, his skin hardens.

"Thank you. Boy or girl? And is he or she speaking Draconic, or the tribesmens' language?"

After Melgrom wanders off, Sohar turns his attention to the wyrmling, offering it some dried meat rations and an under-the-chin scratch. "I wonder what your name is, little fella. How would you feel about Calcryx?," he asks in a soothing tone, not expecting to be understood.

After Melgrom kills the tribesman, Sohar braces himself, keeping his position between the dwarf and the wyrmling. His face is impassive as he knows that men killing men is commonplace.

"Nature has a balance that must be preserved and all play a part in that," Sohar responds to the dwarf's queries.

...he suddenly changes his tone, a hint of genuine sadness "Understand ...one of our member was taken by ice spiders, we've tracked them here."

At this, Harshnag interjects "Impossible. The temple would not tolerate vermin. Your tracking skills have led you astray, and now many of your 'member' are fallen."

"How would the temple stop the ice spiders, Brother Harshnag?"

"Sohar, what now?"

Turning to Sohar, "What do you think? Even if we escort them out of here it seems they will return with ill intent."

The shift in mood nonplusses Sohar for a moment who does not expect any decision-making to fall to him. But he takes a deep breath and replies, "Clearly we cannot allow them to enter. Perhaps if we find their comrade, they will leave peacefully. They were unable to enter before we arrived. In the meantime, I can watch over them and the youngling, I suppose."

Sohar stands his ground and returns Melgrom's glare with a pained look."A child should not be held accountable for the misdeeds of its elders."

Sohar gives respectful nods to those showing restraint. "One can hope to be judged on one's own actions." This seems quite personal to the druid. With a healthy amount of wariness mixed in with a dash of compassion and a pinch of hope, Sohar attempts to close some of the wyrmling's wounds.

Cool, I wasn't actually expecting any mechanical benefit, it was just a character choice.

Attacking this group unprovoked does not sit well with me as a player or character. It seemed like a couple of other people were also trying to express that idea. "Punch stuff in the face and grab our loot" is not the ideal game for me. Is that how the group prefers to play, or is it just new game enthusiasm?

Sohar, lots of hits on the wyrmling here. Were you trying to interject your body as a shield to absorb the damage? Pindleton first dealt 23, Melgrom 20, then Elain 45.

Yes, indeed, I was.

Sohar rushes in and raises his shield between Elain and the wyrmling, fixing the triton with a disapproving glare while remaining wary of the creature.

A snowy owl lands on the druid's shoulder. "Sohar, Ghost," he says simply as he takes the proffered hand, familiar with the ritual. At Molok's non-subtle request, he says, "My cue." He follows the stone man.

As Ghost is flying back, Sohar exits and says, "They're trying to open it..." His voice trails off as he notices the newcomers. "Friends of yours, Brother Harshnag?"

Cool ideas.

As to Sohar, I'm quite content.

Sensing hesitation, Sohar sends Ghost up in the air to scout as he walks forward into the passage.

Sohar draws his sword, just in case.

"Eight of them, it seems, heavyset or heavily loaded," Sohar says while pointing out the tracks to the others.

"Expecting other small company, Brother Harshnag?"

"And yet, here we are. She is not always a subtle mistress. I would like to see this temple."

I'm good with another player. We have been fairly inclusive so far, might as well keep that trend going.

Sohar's form drops as he greets the giant. "Salutations, Harshnag the Grim. It seems that fate has revealed our next destination."

Even Sohar is certain that this is not typical for a tavern brawl. "Scorza," he says, gesturing with his hands before resuming his bear-form.
