Hi All!
We don't normally work on the weekends, but the 3 CS reps who stayed behind have been in to help with back end booth support for Gen Con, and try to wrangle some of the influx of emails and posts from everything going on right now.
That said, the inbox is filling up much more quickly than we can defeat it.
We will do our best to get everyone taken care of as quickly and as well as we can, but that will take some time.
We hope our party will be back to full strength sometime next week, after people start trickling back in from Gen Con.

Due to limited staffing resources, and the need to provide back up support for the Gen Con Booth, the customer service phones lines will be closing at 12:30pm PST on Friday, August 3rd.
I'm revising my statement from yesterday, as the Gen Con booth is needing more support from our end than anticipated. Our phone lines will be closed today and tomorrow. We'll check voicemails as soon as we have some breathing room to do so.
Phone hours should resume as normal on Monday, August 6th.

Some people have reported that the links they are getting to verify account settings or account creation are not working.
We are sorry for the confusion and frustration with this. It appears that some email service providers split the link into two parts as it is processed.
This means the link will not work if you click on it. You can try copying and pasting the two pieces of the link into your browser. This will need to be done in two chucks.
Please copy and paste the hyperlinked section first, and then copy and paste the other cut-off section (not hyperlinked) of the link after that. Once those are copied and pasted in correctly, just hit “enter” or “return” and it should take you to the correct page.

Looking for other events and activities to fill your PaizoCon event schedule with? One of the great things about PaizoCon is that there’s lots of flexibility and room for last-minute activities!
There will be an event trading table, set up outside of the store or Delve area, where people can take and leave event tickets. So if, for example, someone has to drop out of a game or panel with very short notice, or they find something else they’d rather be doing, they can leave their ticket on the table for someone else to take.
As in previous years, we have a bunch of events that are set up for folks to just drop by whenever. Some examples include:
• The Reaper Paint and Take area will be set up in the convention store where you can get expert advice while painting a free miniature.
• You can catch a sneak peek of the upcoming Pathfinder Kingmaker video game or try out Pathfinder Online in the store.
• We also have Delves just outside the store, which are 20-60 minute drop-in encounters run by various members of Paizo staff. This year’s delves will include options for Starfinder and the Pathfinder Playtest!
• Glass Cannon Podcast will have an HQ room in Cascade 10 for pick-up games
• On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, Evergreen 3 will be set up for playing Munchkin Pathfinder and Munchkin Starfinder.
• Evergreen 3 & 4 will also have 8 open gaming tables for anybody to set up their own board, card, or RPG games. The best thing about PaizoCon is that you’re in a space with people who enjoy the same things as you, so you could even set up your own game and grab passersby who are interested!
• Hero Lab will be present with a Character Creation Station
• On Monday, from 10:00 am to 1:00pm, some of the rooms will feature “Gaming With Paizonians” – where Paizo staff will host some of their favorite board, card, and video games!
Aside from that, there are empty slots and pickup Organized Play games throughout the day. You can always stop by Organized Play Headquarters in the Grand Ballroom and ask if there are any slots available.
Keep in mind that many of the Panels end up with open seats, so if you interested in a Panel that you didn’t get a ticket for – it doesn’t hurt to check in when the panel is starting, to see if you can grab a seat!
Hopefully this info is helpful! The printed program book should contain all of this information and more, so that will also help you find some fun activities.

We'll be closed today from 2pm to 4pm for a company pizza party!
I've noticed a number of people this morning have reported that they are having trouble accessing their shopping carts.
I have filed a request for the tech team to look into this. I'll do my best to provide updates as I find out more.

There is some odd behavior happening with downloads displaying on accounts. The tech team is looking into this, but we do not have an estimate for when it will be fixed.
It sounds like, in most cases, it is somehow related to internet browser caching.
If you have a successfully submitted order, and are you expecting something to be on your Digital Content page (formerly known as the My Downloads page), but its not showing up for you, please try the following:
-Log out of your account and log back in
-If that doesn’t help, then you should try logging in using a different browser than you normally use
-Alternatively, if they are still not showing up on your My Downloads page, you should still be able to access your PDFs individually, if you go to the product page for that item, and the the “Downloads" tab (you can find that underneath the product information, next to the “Product Reviews” and “Product Discussion” tabs).
If you try all of that, and they are still not showing up, please let us know, so we can investigate and poke things.

I've been the only CS person in so far this week, as most of the team is out with the flu. I'm still working on catching up in the inbox from the 3 day weekend.
I'm trying to focus on time-sensitive requests, as we are at the beginning of the subscription shipping window.

Some customers are currently experiencing an issue during the checkout process where a payment method is added to the account, but when they get to the final page to submit the order, there is a message that reads: "This order requires a valid payment method."
Our tech team has a fix in progress estimated to be rolled out to our site mid-to-late January.
The workaround for this issue is:
1) Confirm that the items you want and the shipping method are correct in your shopping cart
2) Send us an email (preferably with a link back to this thread for reference) to state that you would like us to try to submit the order for you.
In the email confirm the following:
-The last 4 digits of the card you are trying to use
-The expiration date of the card
3) Keep an eye out for an order confirmation email or follow up email from us.
-In the case of digital items, the order will be fulfilled immediately.
-In the case of physical items, we will email you a confirmation email, review this email to confirm all details are correct.
-If we are unable to process the order, we will do our best to work with you so that your order can be submitted.

To accommodate U.S. fall and winter postal holidays, the September, October, November and December new release schedules have shifted slightly from our standard shipping cycle dates.
edit 11/28/17: We've been integrating a new method for the order generation process which does not authorize payment methods as frequently when an order is created. Instead most cards that have previously had successful transactions will be authorized closer to when your order is being prepared for shipping (at least that is the goal).
If you have previously used the authorization process for budgeting purposes, please note that this now may function differently for you.

If you had subscribed to the Starfinder Adventure Path with a backordered copy of Starfinder Adventure Path Dead Suns #1 and then ordered the PDF separately, you may be seeing your volume shipping soon!
To help process your PDF store credit refund as quickly as possible, please review the following steps:
~After you get the shipping confirmation email for the order that includes your subscription copy of Dead Suns #1, reply to that shipping confirmation email.
~Include a line with something to the effect of: “Please refund the separate PDF purchase in order #XXXXXXX.” (You can find your order number in your Order History).
Customer service will process your refund as store credit as soon as we are able. Please note, we are still experiencing a backlog of emails so it may take us a bit to process your request. Thank you for your patience!

If you have both monthly and off-schedule subscriptions, you can select what to do with any non-subscription items you put into your sidecart.
You can ship any non-subscription items with the earliest possible subscription shipment or with your subscriptions that have products releasing with the the monthly Paizo published new releases.
You can make this choice from your My Subscription page.
Remember, once we create a subscription order, if you still want to add items, make sure you choose to add items to the specific order that has been created.
Adding them to the sidecart after we have run our order creation process means they will wait until the next shipment based on your subscription settings.
If you have chosen to "hold for monthly paizo shipment" for your comics subscription, afterwe do the order creation (estimated June 26th) you should see Runescars #2 in your sidecart.

If you do not have a subscription and would like to pick up the starting item at PaizoCon, please contact customer service immediately after placing your order for the subscription so that we can ensure the product is set properly for subscription pick up.

We plan on prioritizing the shipping of subscriber Crown of Fangs Case Cases during our monthly shipping window.
For those who are not opting in to PaizoCon pick up:
↬If you have anything in your sidecart that is *ready to go* when we run the order spawning process, it will be shipped with this subscription.
↬If you want to add anything to this subscription order, you have until the authorization date to add it to your sidecart. If it is after the authorization date, make sure you choose to ship with the pending order number.
↬If you add an item to a pending subscription order and the added item has a "should ship from warehouse estimate of 4-11 business days or longer, your subscription shipment will wait until that new item(s) arrive before it can be shipped. This may delay your subscription shipment!
↬If you need to make changes to the payment method or shipping address, you can make changes to the subscription until the authorization date, if it is after the authorization date, double check the changes applied to both the pending order and the subscription.
For those who are opting in to PaizoCon Pick Up:
The schedule for people choosing to opt in is as follows:
- Wednesday, May 10th, 4:00pm PST — Ability to opt in or change preferences for PaizoCon pick up closes.
- May 11th-16th — We will create convention pick up orders, charge payment methods and grant PDFs. State tuned to the May thread for more details.
- May 26th- May 29th — Pick up your subscription items from the Paizo booth at PaizoCon 2017.
Unfortunately we are not able to include any other items for PaizoCon pick up. If you have other items in your sidecart they will wait until the next available subscription to ship.
Shipping & Handling & Sales Tax:
Pick up orders are not charged shipping & handling, but are charged Washington sales tax (10%).
What do I need to pick up my subscription items?
Bring your ID, and make sure you know what email address you use for logging into Paizo.com. Printing off your order confirmation email or having it accessible on a smartphone is helpful, but not required.
I can't make it to PaizoCon, can my friend, family member, partner, husband/wife pick up my subscriptions?
Subscriptions must be picked up by the account holder. We will not release subscription pick ups to anyone but the subscriber.
If I don't have a subscription for a product line, can I still sign up for one and choose to pick it up at PaizoCon?
Yes! Just start the subscription like normal, opt in on your My Subscription page and contact customer.service@paizo.com immediately after subscribing to ensure the starting products are correctly set.
The deadline to opt in or change preferences for PaizoCon pick up of subscriptions is Wednesday, May 10th, at 4:00pm PST.
If you have any questions or concerns about PaizoCon pick up please let us know as soon as possible, as the closer it gets to the show, the harder some issues are to resolve. Update: Map Pack: Forest Dangers is no longer an August release.

Our system is having some issues processing [new] card game subscription starting orders [through check out] (and maybe some others) at this time. The tech team is still looking into the cause of this. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience or frustration with this.
In the meantime, we can bypass the problems in our system from our side by moving your starting subscription items from your shopping cart to your Sidecart.
This means that the Character Add-On Deck and promo cards will automatically get combined with Deck 2 and its promo card for your September subscription shipment, so those should ship together as one order sometime this month.
While we normally prefer that people post a new thread with their request/question, as these are all the same problem that we have the same solution for, we've decided the most efficient way to handle this issue would be to keep the requests complied in one place.
If you would like us to submit your subscription from our side, we need your permission to do so. Please post on this this thread and just say something like "Please submit the subscription in my shopping cart." We'll check this thread as regularly as we can and get you taken care of as soon as possible.

Customer Service and the Paizo offices will be CLOSED on JULY 4th.
That means the we will not be responding to phones, emails or customer service messageboard posts until Monday, July 7th.
We would normally be closed anyway, because of the holiday. However, this year, we will all be working over at PaizoCon instead. :)

General Updates:
Many people have expressed concern about our delayed response time to emails. June was a very busy month for us for a variety of reasons (normal stuff, subscriptions, Kickstarter rewards and information transferring, things breaking on the website, getting ready for PaizoCon, etc.). Because of this, we have had a HUGE backlog in the inbox.
It was up to over 900 (yes, just 900, not over 9000) for a bit, but we've all be working hard and fighting through things. It's getting back down to a less terrifying level, but is still currently around 350.
For reference, we seem to be caught up to emails around June 22nd (with the exception of some older stuff that it weird and complicated, and newer stuff that seemed time sensitive).
So, if we haven't gotten to your email yet, I am very sorry. We are doing what we can, as quickly as we can. Some problems have been more complicated than others, and are taking some more time to fix. I feel like I've said this a lot lately, but we really do appreciate your patience as we work through all of this!

We've been receiving lots of questions about what is showing up on the Example Subscription Shipments section of the My Subscriptions page, so I figured I should let people know what's going on:
Our system is currently experiencing some display issues which are affecting part of the My Subscriptions section of many Paizo.com accounts. This means that under the Example Subscription Shipments section, our system is bundling everything together and showing the wrong shipping date. For some people it has said late July, for other it has said August. Please disregard the Example Subscription Shipment section of your Paizo.com account for the time being. We are having our tech team look into the cause of this display error, but we are unsure of when it may be fixed.
In the meantime, subscription shipments should still be on their normal schedules.

Additionally, if you scroll down further on the My Subscriptions Page, to the My Subscription section, that area will most likely display a more accurate representation of the upcoming releases for your subscription(s).
IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY STARTED A NEW SUBSCRIPTION, AND IT IS SHOWING THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING AN ITEM THAT HAS ALREADY RELEASED/NOT THE ITEM YOU WANT TO START WITH:
Please let us know (preferably in a new thread or via email at customer.service@paizo.com). At this time, it does not appear that the system will actually start with this item, or ship it, and seems to just be a display error. But we would rather be safe than sorry, and make sure that your subscription gets started correctly.

After a suspiciously quiet morning, we were informed that our phones are having some technical issues. For some unknown reason (goblins are having some fun?), we are not receiving incoming phone calls.
This is currently being looked into to be fixed as soon as possible. We will post an update as soon as they are working again. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
