Array halted, then decided to go back.


Array will go scouting, yes.

Array slipped through the door, hugging the ceiling and checking the passage.

Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 Well that's not good.


Vedic gestured and sent Array after the second vine. The little ball of glowing stones harried the vine with blasts of icy energy until it died. Then it hurried back to the group.


Array blasted the big vine with a jolt of cold.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Cold damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2


Array backed up behind Pious and charged a shot of it's own.

Moving to square KL9, readied action, ray of frost (if the thing is hostile and within range of the spell)


Array is going to keep stealthed, watch the baddie, and let Vedic know if/when they start to move in for an ambush.

Array added it's own smaller blast of cold to Vedic's torrent.

This is an Spell Like Ability, so it does not provoke

Array hummed to life and took off, checking the area.

This action happens simultaneously with Vedic's

Sensing it's master's plight, Array zipped back through the underbrush and snapped itself back into place on Vedic's amulet, firing a small bolt of cold through Vedic's much more powerful burst.

Cold Damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 No save, but no rime effect either


From it's position hiding in the grass, Array backed up away from the beast and then fired another bolt of cold at the big lizard.

Ranged Touch vs Flat Footed: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4


Array fired again.

Ranged Touch vs. Flat Footed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Cold Damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Same sequence as before. If I get noticed, I move and restealth. If I don't get noticed I stay where I am.

Stealth, if neccessary: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25

Cold damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

If the target spots me when I fire again, I moves 15 feet towards the party back into the cover of the grass.

New Stealth (if necessary): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29


+8 size bonus, +2 dex bonus = +10.

10+10=20.

Edit: Forgot that Array uses Vedic's skill ranks too, so that should actually be a total of 23.


From thirty feet away from the lizard man scout, the little orb shot a bolt of frozen energy.

Ranged Touch vs. Flat Footed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Cold Damage, energy boost: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2


Since the enemy hasn't noticed me yet I'm pretty sure that means it won't get to act in the surprise round. That's my gamble.

So, I'm going to shoot the lizard scout, initiating a surprise round (which will hopefully only be me acting).

Then, on Round 1 I'm going to shoot again, and stealth-move 15 feet back towards the party.

My stealth is 20, plus a -1 penalty for each 5 feet of distance beyond the first.


Vedic's familiar dimmed it's glow until it was nonexistent in the light of day. It's orbiting crystals slowed and pulled in tighter toward the larger stone in it's center of mass. It dropped low to the ground and hovered just below the tall grasses.

A second lantern archon popped into existence and joined the first one's barrage of firing.

First archon, round 2/6

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Move into position opposite the first.

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Also, another Will save vs. the second Archon's Aura of Menace.

A glowing orb unfolded into existence above Lyr. He spoke to it reverent ly for a moment, and it flew upward to fire at the Drider.

Summon a Lantern Archon. It acts right away.

Ranged Touch, Lantern Archon Light Ray, Inspired: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 2 = 19
Light Ray Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Also, the Drider needs to make a DC 13 Will save against the Archon's Aura of Menace

The two Lantern Archons continued to blast down into the pit where the Lycenthropes were, not really sure if they were alive or dead.

The tangled melee of humans, monsters and undead was clearly beginning to agitate them.

Pew Pew Pew!

(they're just going to keep doing this until the lycenthropes are clearly dead)


Another Lantern Archon shifts into the prime material plane. A few words from Grey and it joins it's fellow in helping Simon put down the lycanthropes.
