As camp is set for the night, she arranges her collection of skulls to have a nice chat via speak with dead. "It's a lot better than sitting lonely in silence, but of course if you are interested in talking with me, we can do that too."

If I wasn't already playing Haleen, I know what character I would like to play here. Not sure if the added crazy would be too much, but just for the fun of it for those who might know this NPC from the Curse of the Crimson Throne: Laori is an originally LE turned LN cleric of Zon-Kuthon. She is especially into the Pain aspect of the Midnight Lord. She regularily drives her broody doom and gloom brothers and sisters in faith crazy with her chipper mood. Having her with Aithaloessa in one party might raise the question in all people encountered if there are any sane minded elves at all though.

Laori suddenly becomes very slow. But that doesn't hinder her to cast a spell and putting almost all enemy creatures into a stinking cloud. Shadow conjuration DC17 Will/Fort

The shadows hush over the floor up to the dragon touching it with their long incorporeal fingers.
Laori calls upon the powers of Zon Kuthon to call forth a barrier of blades.

Laori swings her spikes chain at the erinyes next to Sebastian. "And now you beat me." she prompts the devil with an eerie smile.

Laori will come along. But I haven't thought what she would need to be properly prepared. If I find the time, I might change the prepared spells and maybe select a few scrolls to buy. If not, I'll improvise with what she has. but if you need someone else who can cast a scroll of resurrection with only a not too hard caster level check, she is there.

Is it possible to drop the blade barrier? As it would be helpful to make way for Sebastian next round.

What chain are you talking about? Did I miss something? Edit:
That is a nice weapon, but selling it would be the better option. Though Laori could use it and have no negative effects due to being evil aligned herself, she already has a +2 spell storing spiked chain. And none of our opponents are good, so the unholy would be completely wasted on them. If we'd face constructs the adamantine would be nice, but all in all, ... sell it.

"And they don't seem to be willing to accept the use of a safe word. I'm all for inflicting pain, but being killed really breaks the flow." Laori comments. "What should I prepare for? There is a wide selection of possibilities Zon Kuthon offers me every morning. Raise dead?"

Laori starts feeling the effects of the poison. Nonetheless she moves south to see where Tyrandro is pointing. She casts a blade barrier, including the position to the invisible attacker Tyrandro points out and two of the swarms.

"I might be spiky on the outside but I'm soft on the inside." she tells sadly as she is told that no one wants to touch her. She casts airwalk on herself and Tyrandro. "You would hold on to me, so I don't get lost on the way, wouldn't you?" As it is clear what the plan is Laori exchanges all 4th level spells for air walk. Three times fly doesn't work out for the four people you listed.

I'll try to play her as support. Patching us up, maybe help with buffs or tie up a helpless character in her spiked chain. But not go fully into combat. To avoid becoming even more of a game hog. Because with Tyrandro, Fluffy and Laori full into the fight, the combat power would be heavily lopsided. If I fail with that attempt to keep her out of the spotlight, and it starts cutting into your fun please let me know.

"Good to see you too. Do you want a hug?" Laori offers, this time asking first. "Of course I come along! All that pain we deal and receive. And soon we'll have living enemies too, who really feel it! That will be even better! And no more grumpy Sial to spoil it! This is so wonderful!" Laori jumps with joy. "How far did you get in castle Scarwall? Did you find the artifact?" she adds after a moment of thought. |
