GM Peachbottom |
I think picking up and moving counts as two move actions.
I guess so. But I'll let Sebastian get one attack. He can pick up the weapon as part of his move action, like drawing while moving.
Iolana doesn't need to roll miss chance for dispel magic. But the CL check was too low this time.
Also, I made a mistake last round, Ileosa's inspire courage is already factored into her stats. I added it again, which I shouldn't have. The only change that makes to last round is Ayako gets 4 more hit points back. But noted for next time.
Also, Serithial can cast Cure Moderate Wounds 3/day. Sebastian is down about 50 hit points if you wanted to use it. It is an intelligent item, so it doesn't use Sebastian's action.

Sebastian gets the bane and the holy effect against Ileosa, so the attach should be +2 more to hit and +2d6 more damage.
Sebastian dwindles down another image while his sword heals most of his wounds.

Round 6
Sebastian turns the Queen's blade around and scores the first hit upon her. The attack digs deep with a critical hit. In addition Serithial carved away at the power granted by the dragon's fangs. Queen Ileosa takes 104 damage and gains 1 negative level. (stoneskin takes off 10 damage).
Then Sebastian goes on the offensive. He cleaves through 1 image but the Queen quickly recovers and parries the next two strikes.
Tyrandro needs 1 more mirror image roll.
Mirror Image: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Tyrandro destroys the Queen's last two images. Only the true Queen remains. One of his arrows also manages to land true. Queen Ileoa takes 30 damage.
Ayako heals Sebastian back to full health.
Iolana attempts another greater dispel magic and this time is succeeds and it stripes away the Queen's most powerful spells. She loses foresight, getaway, and a contingency spell.
Laori waits? Did she want to heal anyone?

The blade still hits but with much less impact. She then sidesteps forward to put Iolana within her reach. She stabs once and Iolana falls to the ground bleeding out. Sebastian takes 34 damage. Iolana takes 36 damage. She is at -9 hp if my math is correct.

Iolana tries another dispel but can't focus from her recent knock down.

Ileosa: Dispel DC 26: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Ileosa floats back and up 15 feet off the ground. She tries to dodge but Sebastian swings at her as she leaves. Sebastian can roll an attack of opportunity against her.
She then casts another area greater dispel magic. This time she targets freedom of movement for those that have it. With the spell removed, the lingering effects of the slow spell reactivate and Sebastian, Tyrandro, and Laori suddenly feel themselves moving much slower. Fortunately for Sebastian but unfortunately for the Queen, Serithtial grants freedom of movement when used against Ileosa, so the effect immediately returns. (For Sebastian, at least. Round 8
There were only 3 images remaining. Tyrandro destroys all the remaining images. On his 3rd attack that would have hit the real version, he did not hit the AC (only 38 to hit AC 41). If he did hit, displacement is still in effect too.
Tyrandro destroys all of the Queen's mirror images leaving just the original once again.
Ayako speeds everyone up with blessing of fervor. This does not negate the slow on Laori (the only one it would apply to. Sebastian and Tyrandro are no longer slowed) but she can still benefit from the blessings bonuses.
Ileosa is CL 18 (now CL 17 with the negative level) so you need a DC 28 to succeed on dispel. I think Iolana still has harrow points remaining. I'll allow the usage of the "psychic wrath" option to apply to dispel checks. It says +4 CL to overcome SR but I think +4 CL on dispel checks is reasonable too.
Iolana dispels the spell keeping the Queen aloft and she floats (not falls) to the ground. It is actually her robe that grants the flying, so the magic item is temporarily suppressed.
Did Sebastian want to attack now? The Queen is 15 ft. away, but Sebastian has that reach scarf, doesn't he? So he can probably full attack using that and a 5 ft. step. The Queen has no more mirror images just displacement.
Laori heals Ayako last round and this round.

Then instead of attacking directly, she smashes the ice floor below you. A 10 ft. wide hole opens up underneath Laori and Tyrandro and they fall through. The overland flight on both of them causes them to float down instead of falling but they take additional cold damage from passing through the barrier.
Laori takes 36 damage from Ileosa, 4 damage from the splash from her hitting Tyrandro, then 14 cold damage from the wall. Total 54 damage, which puts her at -25 hp. She might be dead.

I'm thinking that flying with Tyrando will be his full round.
I'll allow it. Tyrandro can fly too but if the archon carries him up, he doesn't have to spend the move action and he can full attack on his turn. Remember each time you pass through the gap in the wall of ice, you take 1d6+13 cold damage.

Having a meat shield that carries one aroung is a nice thing. Clicking his heels he gets back to full speed and shoots the queen again.
"Thanks buddy, this helps a lot."

Round 9
Sebastian and Tyrandro hold until after Iolana summons the archons.
I don't see an action posted for Ayako. Let me know if she's doing anything.
Iolana summons two trumpet archons with her gate scroll. One carries Tyrandro up. The other starts attacking the Queen.
Since both archons need to appear through the same gate, I'll assume the gate was next to Queen Ileosa so the 1 archon can full attack, therefore, the other needs to pass through the ice wall twice to go down and back up getting Tyrandro. It is not immune or resistant to cold.
Cold Damage: 2d6 + 26 ⇒ (4, 5) + 26 = 35
With the archon drawing Queen Ileosa's attention, Sebastian takes advantage of the flanking and stabs her twice. The sword continues to drain more of her power.
Ileosa takes 100 damage and gets two more negative levels.
Most of Tyrandro's arrows are thrown off by the displacement but one hits. Iloesa takes 36 damage.
Round 10
You've injured Ileosa enough that she is forced to go on the defensive. She steps out of flanking and activates her ring of spell storing that casts a heal spell on her. Queen Ileosa heals 150 hp

Round 10
Ayako successful dispels the displacement spell on the Queen.
With that barrier gone, Tyrandro unleashes a barrage of arrows into her. Queen Ileosa takes 220 damage. She's not dead yet. But Sebastian and Iolana might be able to finish it.
Waiting for Sebastian and Iolana. The Queen may not get another turn to post.

Round 10
Sebastian is only able to hit the Queen once, but it is enough. He drives Serithtial deep into her dark heart finally bringing her reign to an end. Ileosa takes 110 damage and dies.
With Ileosa slain, the energies she has been building in the Everdawn Pool swiftly grow unstable. With the target of its power suddenly removed from the equation, the Everdawn Pool is forced to refocus this energy elsewhere--into Kazavon's soul! It begins to rebuild the dragon's body in much the same way that it created the taniniver, save that this time, the pool is recreating Kazavon himself!
When the Everdawn Pool begins this process, the pool shudders and shakes. A draconic talon lances out from one side, an immense skeletal wing from another. The entire room trembles and heaves, and a growing roar fills the air, quickly rising to deafening levels. With each passing round, an immense shape of blood and darkness emerges from the Everdawn Pool, assuming the form of a blue dragon from the skeleton out. Lightning crackles and iron chains (a manifestation of Zon-Kuthon’s favor) writhe and snap through the room. Each round, more and more of the dragon’s body reforms as the chains seem to wrap around its form and transform into flesh, organs, and muscles.
Everyone in the room needs to make three saving throws--a Fortitude save, Reflex save, and Will save. The DC for each is 25.
Fortitude: This save is to resist being stunned for 1 round by the cacophonous noise echoing through the room.
Reflex: This save is to avoid the blasts of lightning and thrashing chains. Each round, anyone in the room takes 5d6 points of bludgeoning damage and 5d6 points of electrical damage—a successful Reflex save halves the damage taken.
Will: This save is to avoid having fragments of thought stolen; each failed saving throw results in 2 points of damage to Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.
The Everdawn Pool isn't going to stop on its own. You'll need to figure out how to stop it yourselves.
