Liberty's Edge

Sorry for a delay. Bedlam will post in several hours...

Liberty's Edge

I have plans to GM 3-11 No time for treason during upcoming weekend so if players will come - I will be with a chronicle and likely aware of related scenario plt.

Although I am still hesitant wh to bring - Monk-6, or Investigator-4.

Investigator seems like better choice for such mission. I see we've got 2 rangers and 1 bard.
I will take couple days to decide oer the weekend :)

Liberty's Edge

Hi, Nomadical!
Still postin between flights?
Its been a while... will be happy to play with you again!

I do not think I played the first part, but maybe I will GM it before this PbP starting to have an idea and better plot praparedness.

I will likely bring Klara Hoft (lvl 4) as good investigator always handy in such missions.
Although I've got Monk (lvl 6) as a possible option.

Liberty's Edge

Hey! I found out I already sent the same character to the same adventure via Discord. Also at Gameday.
So I dropped off Klara. Edited Google Sheet. Sorry for inconvenience.

Liberty's Edge

Curse of the Crimson Throne is known to be a great Adventure Path. I'd be glad to join such campaign.

Other (less) interest I have in Ironfang Invasion as well as Skull and Shckles .

Please tag me if youu see this and it is relevant.

I am pretty experienced and active player although not English language native.

Liberty's Edge

Greetings!
Everything sound good to me.

I am not usual player in PFS-2 these days and genearally I know old lore better rather than new.
PF-2 riles seems not hard and usually logical if you pay attention to tags etc. I will try to track everything but not much pre-buff or other similar stuff necessary in this edition.

I like some narrative, some written acting (roleplaying, you know?!:) and some challenge. I am pretty old player and may come out interesting solutions.

----

I am gonna bring one of my favorite chracters - a person (archetype) from wilderness who's struggling to become more civil.

Armagile is a half-human Druid (animal) who born in Mwangi and raised mostly in jungles. In another incarnation (PF-1) he shares consuming Deskari heart with his T-rex.

Now it is Magic Warrior so better known as the Hunter. But some related Pathfinders may know his name.

Liberty's Edge

Greetings everyone!

I would gladly join the adventure!

I am VL with a bunch of experience mostly in PF-1.
But I GMing SF and SFS also.
Played PbP format a lot and GMed barely couple games myself. Not sure if we meet at another virtual table though.

If you need me - I am gonna bring Lashunta Solarion - Xenoseeker. Named Zeratool, likely 6th lvl now, but could be 7th - need to check.
Charecter prototype taken from Starcraft setting.

Liberty's Edge

As I remeber, you may purchase thing of your (character) level usually.
Up to character level +1 if item in Corebook.
Up to +2 lefels if items are at the Chronicle sheet.

If you have infamy - it will decrease possible purchased item level.
But infamy usually may achieved at higher levels.

Liberty's Edge

Carlos 1-8-7 wrote:

@Zeratool, sorry friend! Someday I'll be good and I'll send you a link to GM Nomadical's game as soon as the set opens and not at the end.

Hugging, bro.

GM Nomadical wrote:
Carlos 1-8-7 is in. But, 'Eκάτη, can I get a level 8 character sheet for Carlos, please? Even if you just Discord a pdf or something to me.
'Eκάτη / Carlos 1-8-7 wrote:
t will take me a few days to get it in order. The deadline is Monday (I'm sorry, a ton of work). However, this will not prevent us from starting the briefing - I can determine spells and weapons during the start of the game).
Everything will be entered on the forum as it should, but in those terms, as I immediately said when signing up for the game ;) As soon as it is ready, I will write about it additionally in the discussion thread so that you know that I did it. Thank you in advance for your understanding .))

No worries. See ya next adventure!

Liberty's Edge

If you are open small door th the north fro enter you find Scribes Quarters. A7

Paper, brushes, and dried ink stains cover a monk’s writing desk; all are covered in a thin layer of dust. A chest containing clothes and carefully folded bedding sits in the corner.

A smear of rusty-brown dried blood runs from next western room to halfway across the floor, where it abruptly stops. Faded, musty remains of bedding and clothing are heaped in a corner. Assorted books litter the floor,
but there is nothing of interest or value in this room. A window offers a view to the north.

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinders bravely return to the patio with a wonderful view and dangerous wizard. But only wind remains here now from your perspective.

Feel free to move inside to look for Dagagal and describe your actions. I am searching for forth character...

Liberty's Edge

We appreciate your time and initiative ti be out GM.
Sometimes real life overwhelm us. Job likely important more than hobbie.

We will look forward to next posts! :)

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinders full of battle rush returns to the first floor into the ransacked room, closer to pation. Noting can be heard from outside but wind.

Suussmaar opens door to the pation, no obvious danger or a wayang in here can be seen.

If you really want to find a combat here - think about approach and try to make actions with moving tokens. I suggest you toll fro initiative if you are going to escalate the situation.

Liberty's Edge

I've found out you've been plaing for a long time now. Anyway I may join if you feel lacking of a good group member.

Let me know please. It's better to tag me somehow

Liberty's Edge

Hey!
Are you still looking for an additional player?
Not sure, still need to read a lot...

Let me know if you want experienced 1e person to participate.
I've got bunch of proper characters.

Liberty's Edge

With a saint anger Suussmaar's bow brings bunishment to the witchfire who can not resisit so much force and ghost salt.

After the incident Suusmaar recognize this tian woman from the vision - the same face your barkeeper - Minasako - had.

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinders discuss the situation while walking uppstairs to an atrium balcony.
The warpriest detects magic, seeing the only large door and a potentially wonderful view to the stone garden at the bottom from this atrium balcony.

Liberty's Edge

After patching their bodies up and short rest, party decide to move away from angry magician.

After encounter with Hungry Fog passed 20-30 minutes. Suusmaar bravely opens door to the west.

The ceiling of this large spacious area extends two stories high, with staircases on the north and south walls leading to an overlooking balcony. A rock garden dominates the center of the room; a large wooden frame filled with clean sand and large stones, moss, and pruned trees. Adding to sense of luxury, paintings and woodcuts adorn the eastern wall. A balcony on the second floor overlooks the garden from the east side. On the ground floor there is no exterior western wall; rather, it opens out to a wooden porch and another outdoor garden.

Most keen eyed pathfinders may saw a strange vision at the place you overwheelmed the Hungry Fog as if air at this place became hot. But for now Pathfinders procced the sairs upwards waling part way to the second's floor balcony.

I am opening another part of map - Slide 3. That's second floor.

Liberty's Edge

-Talking too much, Orisialis. But you are forgiven. , - cleric's speech did not impress but rather bore the wizard but after Darren sentence he adds: -You broke me couple ribs, 3-handy hammer dumb. I'll provide you none of my knowledge. Do I look like a person who can hang someone?! Animals. Barbarians. Shu-shu!

Dagagal obviously not in a mood to talk. You can return to the patio for possible escalation or roam away and look at others parts of the Hinojai

Liberty's Edge

Suussmaar continues negotiating while Garduk listens. But the half-orc can not understand wayang's grunt.
The wizard ansers after pause. Most likely he changed his position after last answer. YOu still can hear his voice...

- Me? Dagagal I am called. I live here and you are not. Sure you did not know, you do not belong here. You even did not knock, I thought aasimars are aware of this simple etiquette. You emyreal Ragatiel not teach such routine s+!#? Get away or your skin will be burned away when Garigai returns. Shu! Shu!

Liberty's Edge

First Suussmaar hears whispers in some local language, but after hissing the voice in common comes from afar patio part.

-You still alive and still here? You do not belong here. Talk. But stay away from me! , - the wayang sounds not really cooperative, but at least he exchange not only spell, but few words...

Liberty's Edge

You all hear a long far hawl. Then you can hear scratches as if someone crawling at second floor. But the sounds both fades.

You feel healthier, and no one more deaf.

Liberty's Edge

Dhastrach +31 feels much better after healing from wand and sniffing the mixture.

+33 Suusmaar partially recovered thanks to healing magic.

What trigger-word do you use to activate this wand, I wonder?

Pathfinder remains in a poor position. They likely closed the door to the patio where Ice Storm continued.

What are you willing to do next, besides possible additional healing?

Liberty's Edge

Suusmaar going out barely, he heats up with Fervor and then produces Dispelling glyth.
Deafened check to fail dispelling 21+: 1d100 ⇒ 35

Within next couple seconds Elemental wall fades away, but the Ice Storm remains in the patio loudly.

Dhastrach looks as he freezed to death. His burned skin remains covered by ice. Te dwarf is not moving, but moans .

Darren provides a wand, Garduk probably will use it.

What are you doing next in a mess near the LIARS word?

Liberty's Edge

Thanks to Garduk manipualtions with the wand, Dhastrach starts to regenerate from a bit of evil fire inside.

Suusmaar somehow withdraw from the cold patio. He is barely alive and still may act.

But he still can not move further, becoming an ice statue.

Dhastrach performs similar action but quickly becomes an ice statue, which Darren pulls out just out of danger. Garduk prepares to help with the potion...

Right after this Elemental ice wall disappears with a bunch of water. But the Ice Storm remains. Though, much less deadly...

Dhastrach moves through the most chilling part of the wall and it appears to freeze even bones...

Elemental wall cold damage: 2d6 + 11 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2) + 11 + 5 = 23

Likely the dwarf can not move further, becoming near dead frozen statue...one step away from Darren.

Liberty's Edge

The archon disappears after the Shout!

Garduk does his best to heal up wounds and burnings.

Dahstrach sucessfuly heals up and moves through the blizzard.

Garduk slides away from the danger and start to regenerate. His eyes now glow with eveil...
The archon aids Suussmaar with mistyc power.

The witchfire and the wayang emit an ear-splitting yell Garigai! ...
Shout! Fort 20 to halv DMG - Sonic: 5d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 6, 1) + 5 = 23
If not saved - Deafened: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Suusmaar, Dhastrach and the archon are the subjects...

Shout:
You emit an ear-splitting yell that deafens and damages creatures in its path. Any creature within the area is deafened for 2d6 rounds and takes 5d6 points of sonic damage. A successful save negates the deafness and reduces the damage by half. Any exposed brittle or crystalline object or crystalline creature takes 1d6 points of sonic damage per caster level (maximum 15d6). An affected creature is allowed a Fortitude save to reduce the damage by half, and a creature holding fragile objects can negate damage to them with a successful Reflex save. A shout spell cannot penetrate a silence spell.

After this both creatures withdraw and fade away. Becoming invisible likely, but you are not sure.

Round 4-5 Bold May act

Liberty's Edge

Dagagal Will vs aura: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
The wizard completely negates arhcon aura.

Previously Garduk conjures an Archon from another existance reality.
One of the beams form Lantern hits the nimble wayang.

Suusmaar moves to the window to see the both flying witchfire and the wayang.
Cold is so chiling within the circle of Ice Storm for the aasimar: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

Darren walkes out of the blizzard and through the Elemental wall
Cold dmg to Darren: 2d6 + 11 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2) + 11 + 5 = 23

Witchfire whispers something and the wayang use his dagger to point the blizzard, and the edge of it becomes even more cold.
-Get out! Or freeze here forever!

Liberty's Edge

Party sinergy works great as you quickly find and make visible small creature. It is likel wayang, covered with glyphs and simple clothes. He armed with a dagger. Picture at slide 2

But Dhastrach only starts chanting his Purge spell when Darren approach possible foe and usus Garduk's guide
Concealment, need 50+ to hit: 1d100 ⇒ 6
Unfortunatelly the hammer crashes only the floor.

Garduk's knowledge:
THe wayang is wiazard likely. He has huge magic potential based on illusion and evocation magic. He pre-casted some good spells like greater invisibility and mage armor, but probably got more options in the pocket. He's rather sneaky but his defences likely low, without special resistances.

And before Suusmaar realises whats happenin the wayag concentrates quickly mixing water and dust defensively. The weather quickly changes. Ice storm covers all around.

Great magical hailstones pound down upon casting this spell, dealing 3d6 points of bludgeoning damage and 2d6 points of cold damage to every creature in the area. This damage only occurs once, when the spell is cast. For the remaining duration of the spell, heavy snow and sleet rains down in the area. Creatures inside this area take a –4 penalty on Perception skill checks and the entire area is treated as difficult terrain. At the end of the duration, the snow and hail disappear, leaving no aftereffects (other than the damage dealt).

Ice Storm Damage: 3d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3) + (1, 4) = 18

The sneaky wayang flies away, becoming invisible again and losing somewhere. Darren may get AoO.

Dahstrach meanwhile throws his warhammer to strike creature and catch the weapon again. HE understands words barely - So grown and so dumb. Go away from my home!

Dahstrach Only:
This might be an illusion.

Ghost continues to cry in pain and point at all 3 of agressors, and just moment later lightning strikes from Garduk's side, piercing also Dahstrach and Sussmaar

Garduk almost sures it is a Witchfire - the creature used to be a hag or a witch in her previous life. Now it is incorporeal undead - spectre. She is beautiful and naked, covered just with greenish flames.

She can shoot Witchfalme, which not only hurts touch AC, but also sickens and Fierie Fire target.
Not only she can curse target, but also anyone who touch her.
Reflex is her best save, but she barely even in everything.

No actual damage reduction, but she is Incorporeal Undead - thats true already halves even magic damage...
but not Magic Missles - and Garduk knows this, bombing and burning creature with pure force.

But there is something wrong with her. How ghost can scream so loud?

The creature is forming from barely shadow into a fire quickly and start screaming in pain, as if trying to share it's pain with Garduk. The creature smells with bog and burned fur.

The man with obviously a Tian human. Most likely travaler from Minata.
Dhastrach feels a bit fatigue after operation. Still, what are you going to do with the remains of the travaler?

You find out LIARS written in Tian - 騙子 originally.

Lingustics or related Profession DC 20:
It was written by a noble or someone who knew what caligraphy is and practiced a lot.

Suusmaar searching the next door, but finds only draft underneath. As you open the door you are getting to a cliffside patio. This area is open to the outside but sheltered by the roof two stories above. A simple waist-high metal railing separates this patio from the cliffside to the north. A few serviceable chairs rest near a large free-standing brass telescope aimed at the heavens. Broken statues of foo dogs and other mythological animals litter the floor along the southern walls.
Suusmaar barely feels some magic aura in the patio...

Outside - the northeast hillside affords a pleasant view of the countryside and the closest passing road. The hill drops off sharply here with a 30 foot drop.

Liberty's Edge

Garduk spent some time with the book and then with Darren proceed to a vandalized receiving room. Even after closer inspection you found no sighns of magic invisible creatures there.

Liberty's Edge

I expected some roleplay around, giving example. Because finding motivation to push and probable losing lives or to pause and probably losing information ...that's really worth to rp ;) Anyway let's decide whether we take 10 minutes rest or not.
@Aerondor, have you ever performed Total Party Kill as a GM?

Liberty's Edge

Dhastrach decides to make an autopsy.
You find a lot of dead flies around, soon realising they were dead thanks to hungry fog, which seldom reached even this room.

BUt now you take are of hanged man. Minute after minute time flows to hours as dead body becomes fractured and opened thanks to dwarf and aasimar.

Seems like the men had intimate connection aroun an hour before he was killed.
Adrenal gland tells you that he was full of fear while almost all his blood were sucked away with a help of 2 sharp nails ot teeth. You find double marks at his wrists, neck, penis and thigh. He was hanged up in the process of loosing blood, but he was still barely alive...

What Garduk and Darren do while the autopsy take place (for an hour at least)?

When Dhfstrach opens northen door, he finds A 15

The eastern portion of this L-shaped room has a raised floor where a finely crafted wooden chair — almost a throne — sits. A half-dozen faded woven mats litter the floor. A small low table—another fine piece of furniture—rests tipped on its side. Scattered on the floor are the broken remains of a porcelain tea set. On the walls hang empty racks where commemorative weapons used to hang in places of honor. The word LIARS is scratched in the western wall.

Liberty's Edge

No permanent or fading auras currently and no spells were recently cast here [/ooc]in A16 [/ooc], but something is deffinitely wrong here.

The mansion remains silent.
You even se no signes of looters. Can the hanged man be one of them?
Acording with his suite and boots - likely a traveler.

Where are you going next? Many doors around.

Liberty's Edge

Suussmaar can feel barely visible fading aura of necromancy in the room he is standing in. But no magic detected in the dining room with hanged corpse.

Liberty's Edge

With precatious mesures Pathfinders open the next door to appear in the dinning room.
Two long, low dining tables run parallel in the center of this room, surrounded by the tattered remains of seating mats. Iron lanterns hang from the ceiling but are dark now. The stench of death is particularly cloying under the lanterns.

Corpse of a man hangs suspended from a lantern in the center of the room. Some flies buzzing among.
