Carrick feels as the vision he so so heavy, that his body lost huge amount of vitality and caused a lot of despair. Carrick is ehahausted, he wanted to use the short way but facy huge collumn which supports the structure and also blocks the path. The paladin have to go trough the bulding or climb around. But he is so Exhaused.
Darren is Staggered due to heavy toxins and fluids as he is standing inside the fog. ANyway the fighter with support from Suussmaar and Dhastrach assault the ooze with magical arrows and hammers from different directions. Hungry fog is dispersed.
End of combat
Darren -15 hp
Suusmaar -7 hp
Carrick Exhausted
Garduk is fine
Dhastrach -13 hp

Soon you realise no threat remains, but usual fog here still highly sustainable. There are some dead animals now you can find in the fog. And the mansion is close to continue.
What are you going to do?
PLease, move your tokens acording with actions. THis is pagoda standing partially at rocky with collumn support for some references

"That was ugly ... thanks for taking care of it. Let us get in now, ok?"
He says and moves to climb up.

Dhastrach Orisialis |
Dhastrach catches his warhammer in a glorious fashion, and puts it away. He pulls out his wand of cure light wounds and begins to heal himself first before getting Darren back to normal.
CLW from wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 To Dhastrach

Darren Lars |
Darren can offer his own CLW wand so you can keep those charges, Dhastrach.
"Thank you, it's appreciated." Darren says to his friend while watching his wounds heal up. Turning to face Suussmaar, he shook his head. "Do you need any help climbing?" He asked the dwarf, not sure if it was going to be something the man would take offense to.
Whether he needs help or not, Darren will climb up after Suussmaar.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 = 12
Garduk the Unteachable |
Garduk puts his scroll away, only a little disappointed not to have gotten to use it. He looks around and does a quick head count.
"What happened to Carrick? I thought he was right behind me."
He sees Derrick and Suussmaar clamber up to the pagoda's walkway and rolls his eyes.
"They've got to be kidding me," Garduk growls.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 7
He tries unsuccessfully to pull himself up onto the walk, then drops back onto the grass.
"Somebody want to lower a rope?"
EDIT to add:
While he waits for one of the more athletic Pathfinders to help him up, Garduk pulls out his lesser versatile metamagic rod and uses it to cast extended see invisibility on himself (duration 140 minutes).
Garduk walks up the yard to join the main group, grumbling to himself as he goes.
Kirill.Storm |
Pathfinders heals up using their wands mostly. But Carrick is still missing. He breaths heavily not far from you being not able to climb around large supporting collumn. And probably not willing to go through the mansion.
I is not hard to step from the ground level to wood flooring at the mansions base.
Garduk produces See invisibility and when his eyes observe surroundings with just when he think he see a small shadow it quickly disappears somewhere above Suussmaar.
Solo bird trilling far away, and gentle wind breaths from west.
What are you willing to do?
Garduk the Unteachable |
"Suussmaar! Look out, there’s something right above you!" Garduk barks a warning, then shakes his head. "No, forget it, it's gone."
He waits for the tougher Pathfinders to step onto the wooden walkway before joining them, making sure to stand at the back of the line.
Suussmaar |
Suussmaar detects magic and looks around.
"Come up here guys now. Let us go in."
Suussmaar checks the door for traps and opens it in case he thinks that it is fine.
perception : 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Dhastrach rushes behind Darren to not him wander too far from himself to keep the shielding spell ongoing. He waits for others to climb over the rocks before trying himself, as his armor hinders him quite a lot.
Climb: 1d20 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 2 - 5 = 16
Surprising even himself, Dhastrach manages to pull his own weight through the obstacle.
Kirill.Storm |
Somehow you manage to climb around the corner support culumn to find exhasted Carrick. He is overwheelmed by the vision, babbles something and says that he will wait you here and guard.
Suussmaar meanwhile enters the mansion.
The walls of this large, L-shaped room are painted with depictions of soldiers and samurai in battle against the armies of nobles and daimyos, while receiving the adoration of peasants and common people. Little
furniture is to be found, but a once ornate wood-andpaper folding room
divider lies in a broken ruin in the southeast corner. Metal hanging lanterns have been torn from the ceiling and now lie in ruins on the wood floor. Several ceremonial weapons have been pulled from the walls and discarded.
Darren Lars |
Darren will follow after Suussmaar, not letting him get too far ahead of the group. Keeping Dhastrach inside the area he spoke up took precedence, however.
As he walks, he pulls out his Klar to hold beside his Earthbreaker, ready for any threats that might pop up like the last one.
Suussmaar |
will : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Sussmaar shakes off the strange feeling.
“Be careful here! Something dreadful is affecting your mind!“
Garduk the Unteachable |
Garduk pulls out his wand of magic missile and follows at the rear of the group.
I moved my token behind Darren. Garduk will keep up, but doesn't want to interfere with any of the melee fighters' movement.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
"Something dreadful is an awfully vague expression," Dhastrach remarks and marches inside the room, confident, "I am already observed by unknown forces from the Dark Tapestry, whatever is in this room doesn't top that."
The dwarf walks confidently into the room with his warhammer drawn. Token moved.
"It is odd this room is so barren. Either it has been already visited by looters years ago, or people left this place in haste. Regardless, we won't find anything of intrigue here. Let's move on." Dhastrach moves to the north-eastern door.
Darren Lars |
Darren looks around after Suussmaar shouts. "Iunno, s'just a bit creepy."
As Dhastrach moves, Darren moves with him. "As good a place to start as any. Want me to open that, Dhastrach, just in case?" He asks.
If Dhastrach doesn't mind, and if the rest agree, Darren will open the door.
Kirill.Storm |
With precatious mesures Pathfinders open the next door to appear in the dinning room.
Two long, low dining tables run parallel in the center of this room, surrounded by the tattered remains of seating mats. Iron lanterns hang from the ceiling but are dark now. The stench of death is particularly cloying under the lanterns.
Corpse of a man hangs suspended from a lantern in the center of the room. Some flies buzzing among.
Suussmaar |
Suussmaar shakes his head.
He detects magic in both rooms.
”What do you think? Should we get him down?“
Garduk the Unteachable |
Garduk continues scanning for invisible creatures and objects. "Probably. We should try to figure out who he was and what he was doing here. Better check him for booby-traps first."
The half-orc scratches his neck. "Hrmmm. Of course, that assumes he's really there. It may not be magic, but he could be a haunt or some kind of spiritual residue. Maybe poke him with something first."
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Dhastrach nods and chucks a rock at the hanged corpse. He doesn't expect a response.
"What I'd wish to know is if the dead person hanged themself or was hanged by someone else. This place looks peculiar for such an occurrence, unless one wishes others to see them dead at the center of the house."
"Still remarkably barren. Looters would have avoided this room, yet there's nothing worth of taking."
Detect Magic + Spellcraft check to determine if some spell took place here?
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Kirill.Storm |
No permanent or fading auras currently and no spells were recently cast here [/ooc]in A16 [/ooc], but something is deffinitely wrong here.
The mansion remains silent.
You even se no signes of looters. Can the hanged man be one of them?
Acording with his suite and boots - likely a traveler.
Where are you going next? Many doors around.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Confident to get to the bottom of this mansion's mysteries, Dhastrach decides to take the corpse down for an autopsy. (This is just to exhaust the possible answers the body might bring.)
Once content with the investigation, he proceeds to the northern door of the dining room.
Token moved.
Suussmaar |
Sussmaar aids to find out what happened.
heal aid : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Kirill.Storm |
Dhastrach decides to make an autopsy.
You find a lot of dead flies around, soon realising they were dead thanks to hungry fog, which seldom reached even this room.
BUt now you take are of hanged man. Minute after minute time flows to hours as dead body becomes fractured and opened thanks to dwarf and aasimar.
Seems like the men had intimate connection aroun an hour before he was killed.
Adrenal gland tells you that he was full of fear while almost all his blood were sucked away with a help of 2 sharp nails ot teeth. You find double marks at his wrists, neck, penis and thigh. He was hanged up in the process of loosing blood, but he was still barely alive...
What Garduk and Darren do while the autopsy take place (for an hour at least)?
When Dhfstrach opens northen door, he finds A 15
The eastern portion of this L-shaped room has a raised floor where a finely crafted wooden chair — almost a throne — sits. A half-dozen faded woven mats litter the floor. A small low table—another fine piece of furniture—rests tipped on its side. Scattered on the floor are the broken remains of a porcelain tea set. On the walls hang empty racks where commemorative weapons used to hang in places of honor. The word LIARS is scratched in the western wall.
Garduk the Unteachable |
Interesting as the autopsy may be, Garduk isn't going to wait hours.
For the first half hour, Garduk will read a book he pulls from his haversack. After that, he will suggest to Darren that they check out A15 themselves.
"We can just prop the door open with a chair or something so these two will be able see and hear us and vice versa, but this spell that allows me to see invisible creatures won't last all day. We'll stay close enough that you won't lose that spell Dhastrach cast on you."
If Darren agrees to go into A15 with him, Garduk will first cast shield on himself from his wand, then slide it back into his spring-loaded wrist sheath.
Edited to add:
Walking into A15 (if Darren will go with him), Garduk casts detect magic and scans the room for invisible creatures and objects as well as magical auras. He keeps his wand of magic missile ready.
Darren Lars |
Darren looked at Garduk to the autopsy, then shrugged. "Yeah, I don't quite care for waiting, either. I'll try to stay in step, Dhastrach."
The man will go with Garduk, keeping an eye out.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Never did Dhastrach intend to spend that much time, since they can do a much thorough investigation of the cause of death later once the mansion has been fully searched. A full disection of the body is a bit too much, but the most important bit was the blood sucking. Ultimately, the dwarf wanted to know whether the man killed himself and hanged himself, or he was killed by other means and left to hang.
Furthermore, Dhastrach possesses an ability called lorekeeper under the knowledge domain. Using it he could learn something about the man, but most likely just basic information about his race.
With a stoic expression Dhastrach finishes what he started. He joins the others in the next room (A15). The dwarf isn't apologetic about using so much time in with the dead body.
"One thing's for certain. Nothing here is specifically hunting for us. If we find a hostile force, it is most likely dormant and/or unaware of our presence."
What language is the word LIARS written in?
"This place holds clear signs of ransacking. I'm more and more to believe this place has been looted by scoundrels in the past. It is doubtful anyone would have taken ceremonial weapons during an evacuation."
Dhastrach makes a casual search of the room (mere minutes, this time), and advices others to do the same. He will not lead the investigation, however, knowing his old eyes are no match for the keen senses of a young adventurer.
Perception AID: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Kirill.Storm |
The man with obviously a Tian human. Most likely travaler from Minata.
Dhastrach feels a bit fatigue after operation. Still, what are you going to do with the remains of the travaler?
You find out LIARS written in Tian - 騙子 originally.
Suusmaar searching the next door, but finds only draft underneath. As you open the door you are getting to a cliffside patio. This area is open to the outside but sheltered by the roof two stories above. A simple waist-high metal railing separates this patio from the cliffside to the north. A few serviceable chairs rest near a large free-standing brass telescope aimed at the heavens. Broken statues of foo dogs and other mythological animals litter the floor along the southern walls.
Suusmaar barely feels some magic aura in the patio...
Outside - the northeast hillside affords a pleasant view of the countryside and the closest passing road. The hill drops off sharply here with a 30 foot drop.
Garduk the Unteachable |
Linguistics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Garduk peers closely at the writing and grunts. "Hrm. Whoever wrote this, they spent plenty of time practicing their calligraphy. Probably either a noble who had the free time to spend on it, or someone whose livelihood depended on it." He looks at the detritus scattered around the room and shakes his head. "That doesn't tell us who the liars are, what they lied about, or why the person who wrote this was so angry about it. Or why there was a dead man drained of his blood hanging in the other room."
Garduk will not be the first Pathfinder to step out onto the porch, but he will go out when the others do. With see invisibility and detect magic still active, the scarred half-orc scans the porch for anything of interest before approaching and looking through the telescope.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Kirill.Storm |
The telescope stands about 4 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds, and is in good repair, unlike a lot of other stuff here.
Garduk approaching the telescope, Sussmaar slowly enter the patio, both scanning for magic and finds several low and medium auras here. But before anything becomes clear, garduk start to see a large shadow, flying in front towards patio window.
The creature is forming from barely shadow into a fire quickly and start screaming in pain, as if trying to share it's pain with Garduk. The creature smells with bog and burned fur.

Great magical hailstones pound down upon casting this spell, dealing 3d6 points of bludgeoning damage and 2d6 points of cold damage to every creature in the area.
