"With legs like these, we will make it to the carnival sign up in time." Which is totally obvious as it is no more than 10 or so feet away. Hugo shakes his head at the two of his companions before heading over to the barker. "Baddest dude? Please. There's nothing more bad than staying in school and saying no to drugs." The camera pans over to his face and it zooms in just enough to get the thumbs up and smile at the camera. "Did we really need the money that bad? We barely pay them anything and the costumes and sets are mostly reused." Another executive responds, "Of course. How else do you think we can pay out our dividends?"
After that complete non sequitur Hugo continues as if nothing happened Possibly because Johnny Hollywood just reads the script and barely knows what is going on, unless it's an opportunity to flex, "Death is my middle name. Hugo Death Roc---." He shakes his head and looks at the camera and does a cut hand sign, but the intern at the camera just kind of gives an idle, half-assed thumbs up as he keeps having his conversation. "Brave is my middle name. Hugo Braver Rockman."
He grins at the camera, very happy with his impromptu choice, not realizing that now his character is Hugo Death Braver Rockman to the fans.

Nidal was fascinating to her. It was because of their dedication to pain. The witch had always found it equal parts intriguing and horrifying. That duality was something she was never quite ready to understand. Pain was a tool, it made no sense to her to see it any other way but perhaps there was something there. Certainly she wouldn't write it off without some thought.
The black stone embedded in her neck pulsed at the stray idea. The empathic link was something that she had grown accustomed to, and it said to her that it was curious of the answer as well.
She turned to see her companions in the sitting room. Pulling down her dirty red hood, it revealed long locks of cascading white hair. Seemingly infinite in its volume. She still wasn't entirely sure how much they trusted her, but she considered that a good thing.
It shows that they have a head on their shoulder worth working with.
The shadowy fetchling, Marcus. He certainly had proven his worth in battle many times. A little reckless for her liking but he gets the job done. He did enjoy the thrill and wondered if he got the same rush that she did when the hair gripped a helpless foe.
Xanther. Some other spellcaster, though he had a completely different tradition than her. The man was rotting away but somehow managed to keep together. She was never able to quite master the spells that he used and was a little jealous, but when it came to it, he seemed to relish his gifts and using them.
The tiefling was one she hadn't quite puzzled out yet. Noctifer. He didn't trust her and she made no attempts to hide the fact that she knew. Perhaps it was due to the one time she interrogated someone a little too hard... Maybe it was due to the unnatural origin of her abilities. She would figure it out eventually.
Funny enough the other human, Jessminder was one she understood the most. A paladin to some empyrean she only heard of in passing, at first Ussaile thought that they would be at each others' throats. However the paladin was happy to discuss morality and religion and they found some common ground. You see, we both fight for someone or something. That seemed to be enough for her.
The Stain on the back of her neck echoed these thoughts, but gave some new input. I agree, they are excellent at what they do. And if you wish for me to continue onward, then I am happy to serve. She wondered what her patron had in store for the lot of them, but decided it was better to just continue without those burdens. All will be revealed in due time.
Finally turning to the butler, Ussaile looked and moved her hands through her hair to fix it, a motion that was entirely unnecessary.
"If you have some tabac and a strong drink, I would like that."
Her pale face moved into a grin, sharp lips with sharper eyes keeping watch in the room.
Carlos took some time for himself to explore the hotel but the unfortunate turn of events proved the people right. It was a time loop, and he was unable to figure out why before the blackness took him.
"Well at least no one will know how I died, that would have been embarrassing." He only realizes too late that the others were next to him. "Ignore that I said that."
Been just down in the dumps for energy, but I'll hop back in as best as I can. Maybe writing again will make me feel better.

I wanted to know if you wanted me to include anything in my post for the players but for now this should suffice... I feel like she needs to be everywhere, and if that is not possible, perhaps she can gain a flock who can.
There wasn't much left in the tent in the morning, except for a single letter, sealed on the desk.
A Letter
To All,
My paths need to take me elsewhere. It is not my choice to decide, but sometimes the four have plans for us that we may never truly understand. I wish for you to know that I will be supporting you as best as I can, my prayers will be for you every day. I know Moon is a terrible foe, but there is more to this than just him. There is a terrible miasma in the air, something akin to what happened to Sky and it draws me.
What needs to happen is for el to be united. I know on paper this is a fool's errand but if I can hold in my heart these conflicting ideas, I know that others can as well. I do not ask you for forgiveness in these times of need, for I don't believe I am doing wrong, but I ask for your understanding.
This is more than what a single polearm can deal with, even if it is wielded with truth and justice.
I will hopefully come back at a later date, my life has recently given me new purpose, a drive. Where can water flow when the world is on fire? It can spread. It can make the ground wet so the flames can't grow. It can make the air thick to provide coolness to those burnt.
When you reach a crossroads, I just ask that you be like water in all things. Be flexible, be understanding, be adaptable. Our world relies on it.
Your sister in arms,
Phon Vos

Phon dispels the dream from her mind for the time being, there was much to be done. Moving through the camp, she looked and saw revelry, unsure as to when it happened. I should have heard it...? What exactly happened last night to me?
Dispelling the night and the dreams would require more focus. With a gauntleted hand she offered a prayer to the pantheon, looking at each digit and what the hand could do when they all worked together. Finishing her mental focus, the warpriest moved toward the tent.
"It seems they survived the night." Phon kept her armour on, but left the helmet hanging at her side, "Samen, I hope Abnaki doesn't hear you, you would hate to be on his bad side. There was a time when him and I got into some trouble with the commander and..." She laughs, a first for the undine in a while, and it was refreshing like a waterfall's mist. "Nevermind, Abnkaki would tell the story better than I anyway."
She looked at Gabriel and swore that she saw the light bend around him, "You and I need to really talk later, so perhaps I will accompany you once we are done this interrogation."

"Whatever hold it is Abnaki, it wouldn't matter if this city were to collapse into chaos."Or worse. She didn't want to say that part out loud but she was certain they all felt it.
The undine moves into the sewer and quickly tests the water. Is it clear? Contaminated? Breathable for aquatic creatures?
The Heavy Armor Undine:
Amphibious
Darkvision 60'
Swim Speed
Water Sense
Amphibious: Some undines are born with a permanent bond to water. Undines with this racial trait gain the aquatic subtype and amphibious special quality. This racial trait replaces the spell-like ability racial trait.
Water Sense: Undines with this racial trait can sense vibrations in water, granting them blindsense 30 feet against creatures in contact with the same body of water. This racial trait replaces energy resistance.

Phon wakes up in a start. Wake up was probably not the correct way to put it, more like reawaken. Something didn't feel right though... There was a power bubbling in her that wasn't quite what she was familiar with and decided for now to let it simmer.
Truth... What is truth really?
She knew the temptation, to know what could be unknowable, should an undine be able to use that power?
It was hard for her to describe how she carried her magic, but it was almost like she had a bag, and that bag happened to be now more full with a block. A block that wouldn't leave... Not yet at least.
Who could have given this to me? Why are these dreams getting worse? Staying in quiet contemplation, the warpriest gathered her things and made sure to get a jug of liquid. There was work to be done today and that spell and its temptation would have to wait.
She hoped that saying and thinking it made it true, but that laugh and the inquisitor's madness was hard to ignore.

Phon was wondering what was going on with the oreads here, but she knew better than to ask something when in a place like this. Perhaps the others would know the answer and be able to fill her in.
Eventually meeting up with the others, the undine wrinkles her nose. "We came here to make sure we were all safe, I can't complain when in fact, we are all safe."
She shakes her head when Samen asks about Osna's contact, "She was deluded, or I hope she was at least. Kept speaking about how we can bring the dead back." Saying it out loud stung, "Regardless I don't think we should be meddling in such things... Especially when promised by someone with no proof at all."
Unhinged was more like it.

Got caught up, personal issues at home.
The undine stays quiet. She was glad Osna was there, but Gabriel seemed trustworthy. "I have had many people lost to me when Moon came. My relationship with the inquisition is... Tumultuous at best." She swallowed, and decided against saying more, "Now really isn't the time to open up old wounds, perhaps we can talk more when we aren't on duty." She used that word, duty, as armour. Armour that was as thick as her own, "I have no desire to work with those people, and I have a feeling that they might be saying what we all want to hear... I'm sure we've all lost people." The conviction of her faith helped, she had to keep telling herself that.
"I will do my best Osna... As you can imagine though it is never that simple." Gripping the holy symbols she looks toward the sky, "And while I want to say that I have control over this, that would be untrue." She thought back to the voice that spoke to her while she pleaded to understand the dead, but left that bit out. "It seems that whatever is going on is pulling in many sects."
She focuses her gaze on Gabriel, "Does it make you uncomfortable that many would call me a heretic or a traitor?"

She hears about bringing people back from the dead and the warpriest freezes. The sound in the room muffles, almost as if she was inside a bowl that would hold fish on land.
Clutches of the gods...?
The normally devout el falters for a moment and begins to open her mouth before she hears the others leave. "Wait..."
Turning she looks at Osna, "And if there is truth to this story?" Her gaze moves back to the inquisitor, "If you find proof, if you can provide me reason to lend aid, then perhaps we can continue this... I am not willing to entertain more until then." Her holy symbols burned against her chest and she grabbed them, Osna was right of course, but she didn't want to hear it just yet.
Standing up, she extracted herself from the situation as fast as she reasonably could, though it took much willpower to do so. Silently praying she knew that such a magick would come at some kind of price, one that she would be unwilling to pay.
"Gabriel, what is wrong? Why the signal?" Phon tried to keep herself in check, but the inquisitor's words continued to echo... Letting out a breath, she stood still for a minute, there was too much to handle right now.

The undine gets ready to speak with the dead, but the voice from the night before kept echoing in her head.

She shuddered when she put her armor on, and while getting ready felt her skin crawl.
Maybe I would. Am I really that shallow? Do I speak with this high and mighty attitude for petty reasons?
She fought with herself and blinked a few times, tears mixing down her face. The war priest was happy that many people wouldn't find those lone droplets without scrutiny.

For my two third level slots, I can prepare Locate Object and Speak With Dead.

- I always prepare Lesser Restoration and Tears to Wine as a 2nd, leaving me with 2 2nds.
- I always prepare Know The Enemy and Unbreakable Heart as a 1st, leaving me with 3 1sts.
Looking like this
0th - Read Magic, Detect Magic, Guidance, Detect Poison, Purify Food and Drink
1st (5/day) - Know the Enemy*, Unbreakable Heart*, <>, <>, <>
2nd (4/day) - Lesser Restoration*, Tears to Wine*, <>, <>
3rd (2/day) - Speak With Dead, Locate Object
She can always Dispel Magic as a Supernatural ability
I can always leave the slots open for the next day as well, considering we don't know what we will be facing. I feel like that might be the best option.

The undine bites into the spoon when she hears Samen, before swallowing the soup and putting the bowl down quietly.
"I do not trust you. It would be foolish to when our opponent has the ability to control minds and shift bodies. I wanted to ensure we were all on the same page." Standing up, she takes a gauntlet off, "Obviously you have no way to trust what I'm going to say either, but all the gods watch us, and they grant me their blessing of truth." Her eyes look at Samen peculiarly, "I wish to assuage my fears. Allow me to place my hand upon you; Wamblee and Iniga I would ask the same from you."
This is more for flavour than any actual information obviously.
Looking at Osna she gives a glance, Thank you but I must speak plainly.
Her eyes steel when her gaze turns away from the slyph, "Everything may be transactional to you Samen, but I would not wear the garb of a whole pantheon if I didn't believe in them. I wouldn't walk the streets being a pariah for something I didn't believe in."Perhaps he would still be alive if I had believed at the time.
The resolve on her face melts quickly into sadness at the thought of him, "I would ask that if you want to speak of my worldview, we don't do it with slander and attacks. I have lost much, as have many people and I think that your cavalier attitude makes light of what can be done. Transaction or not." Walking back she thumbs her necklace, "Though I appreciate your honesty Samen, it is refreshing." Donning the gauntlets the war priest feels her armor of faith growing before turning around, "I must be honest with you as well, wherever the dark walks and touches I will be there to hunt it down. If it takes you, expect no less from me. If you can understand why, and agree to those risks, I will be happy to call myself your ally in this journey. Differences and all."

Problems with being a Storm druid in a Storm campaign is that everything is resistant or immune...
The druid asks everyone to gather around, "I can ward us against its acid or frost. Come here and Gozreh will provide you shelter to its biting ice."I can hit 5 people for 10 minutes each... I sadly don't have a lot of other options and this is my only Resist Energy (Communal) prepared.
Splits the Leaves can target 5 People to resist the Frost. Ingolf, Adriana, Ebba, and then 2 more. You have to move near me though.

Phon gives a finned wave back, looking at the sentries and their positioning. They still need some work.
She pulls her helmet back, relaxed with the air. The nearby Happy Swords are a natural distraction from her pain and the undine is always glad to have people to chat with, even if it is business.
"I believe food should be in order if you all wish to stay." Giving a shrug in the direction of the food, she continues, "Fillipo can wait. I think we should speak frankly to each other." The plate is heavy, and she slowly works her way to a bowl, giving her hellos to the others.
"It is a nice broth afterall."Just like Hien used to do it.

The druid prepares new spells for the day, and he suddenly knows how to call down the storms themselves. The knowledge goes into him, and he readies it and some other spells to assist in their battle.
"I have prepared a spell that can protect us from the elements, though splitting the duration up will stretch my magic thin. I will use it when I feel we are closer." Taking the extract from Tonny, the druid nods, "I have prepared some fae magic in the case that we do encounter something that is invisible, it will outline them for the rest of you."
Moving to Lightfoot, the druid looks into his companion's eyes. "It comes to this. I will grant you my protection, and your heart has given you more strength than I ever could have expected."Shield Companion

Splits the Leaves looks around and sees the mural, but his eyes are immediately attracted to the statue in the middle. "Gozreh... What have they done?" He gingerly touches the statue only to realize that it had collapsed due to the roof above their heads. "When all of this is done, I will break the sky and free your sanctuary as it was meant to be." Looking to the others he nods, "I appreciate you all coming down."
If anyone needs Cure Light Wounds, I could have had around 10 Spontaneous Slots available for Cure Light Wounds before bed.
Listening the whole time, the druid feels like he gets a good grip on the caged man. Not hiding anything else from us?" It wasn't as much of a question as it was an observation.
Splits the Leaves almost lets off a gasp when he hears his suspicions and fears start to become true.
"Profane rituals..."
He wasn't sure what needed to be done, but he knew his place in the chaotic play that the Wind and Waves had directed him to.
"... This must be what Gozreh was trying to warn me about." Looking toward the others, he puts his staff down and gives a steeled gaze, "I will be going down to stop this. I would not ask any of you to come down with me but truthfully, I cannot do it alone."

I will catch up tomorrow, just ran a 4 hour session online after a full day of work and am exhausted.
If I were to continue, I might want to swap the Restorer for a different Archetype (Maybe Halcyon, the mages of Old Mage Jatambe and the Nameless Ones), it seems super lackluster.

The undine went to bed not knowing what the future would hold. In fact as of late it had become harder and harder for her to consider what she might encounter. With the chaos and all the change that had suddenly upturned the lives of all el, she slept close to her holy symbols and relics.
The dreams, or more accurately nightmares, had started again no doubt triggered by sleeping outside in the open the night prior. She thought herself past the situation. There was only one thing that could assuage her fears and grant her peace, and maybe today would be that day.
Staggering out of the portable roll, and nearly tripping on her leg, Phon began to put her meditations to practice. There was much to pray for despite the nightmares, and she knew that her faith in everything that made the world right would stave off what was inside her that was wrong. Clasping the ring around her neck, the chain felt heavier every day but part of that was her inability to let go.
It's probably for the best that this weighs us down. It will keep me on the task at hand.
Taking her weapon she gave a few swift strikes with it before taking her time to put her armor on. Proficient in it, when it was finally donned, she felt protected as if it's fortress was more than physical.
I’ll wake up early and wait for you in the Inn. I’ll message you before you enter the Inn if there’s any issue. No point in risking both of us needlessly
She nodded and smiled. Despite everything, Osna had become a friend to the undine and she would hate to see him fall under Moon and whatever evils lurked. He was a capable sylph though, thoughtful and clever so her concerns vanished as easily as the wind that followed him.
Taking some trail rations, the undine decided to get on the move. The feeling from the sky removed any appetite she had however necessity drove her.
Eventually making it to the Duke's Inn, Phon gave a cursory glance around, her senses sharp to any magical currents around her. She had to learn quickly how to tell when someone was admiring plate versus sizing her up, and in the large cities it was a massive boon. With authority, the pariah undine opened the door and was quick to spot Osna in his usual type of spot; somewhere where there was a quick exit and good views. Lifting up a gauntleted hand, she doffed her helm and moved in before taking a seat, hoping that the chair was built well enough to support the plate.
"Osna. And how is it today? Have you any sign of our friends?" She let the sylph set the pace, he would surely have information that she would need to know.

A fellow teacher I see... Does secret 6 foot distanced handshake
I'm definitely fine with having a working background with a new character also, it makes it easier and more believable than otherwise. Phon is a mercenary anyway so this works out fine, I'm trying to figure out the reason to be there but I can't imagine it being too difficult, maybe I'll wait on @Osna so we can come up with something together.

Feeling danger might be afoot, the druid casts his spell upon the companion he has. Also I will prepare Elemental Speech for us in case we march straight there, forgot to mention that. If no one argues, I will make good use with that Wisdom Band as well.

Untrained. I can't roll that.
The druid stamps his staff into the floor. "No matter. They were amphibian, almost like pink dragons. I'm sure if they wanted to come for us they would. I can certainly tell you that it isn't anything that I had seen before in the natural world."

Yeah I'll switch it for a Faerie Fire at 1st level then Pearl it back.
Seeing the afflicted person, the druid doesn't give a second glance to the others. It was only a matter of time before things go bad for them. Giving a small prayer Guidance he moves toward the sickly Jheri.
Heal:1d20 + 11 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 2 + 1 = 30Guidance, Aid Another from Ingolf, I have a full Healer's Kit as well.
Immediately recognizing the disease wasn't a problem, what was was how advanced it had become. "Ingolf, I need a few things. Time is dire, so please make it quick." The little dinosaur hops off his shoulder and tugs at Ingolf, "She should know."She does share his Ranks being a familiar and all, I hope that's okay for flavour. I'll leave it to you to come up with something cool to bring :)
Opening up his pack, the druid gets to work, "No need to speak. Keep your strength you will be fine."

The druid saw the drake die and gave a small prayer for it, it wasn't much but it was the least he could do.
"How is everyone faring? Perhaps we can lunch here and I can help you back on your feet." He begins to pull out his kit and his wand and gives Lightfoot some mice.
"I have no delusions that whatever is coming up could involve more drakes or worse."

Eventually making his way to the plantation, Splits the Leaves looks for any tracks on the floor before moving to Ingolf, "Perhaps someone is in danger. This place does not look sturdy."
Hearing and confirming Jonah's suspicions, the druid nods, "You're right I hear it too."
If you need healing please just roll Cure Light Wounds and let me know what you're deducting, it makes it faster. We have 53 charges total between two wands.

He hears the word Storm-Kindler and realizes there was still so much for him to learn. "By my word if we find anything about your Master we will bring it back." His words are delicate but firm, it wasn't going to be a matter he would move on. "Ingolf is right, it seems to be a second faction. They did mention some other god who wasn't Gozreh... I wonder if this has to do with your heretical kindlers."
He taps his staff on the ground, "Do you feel we should approach Hamsa? We have no proof unfortunately and we still have to help our Song'O friend get home. Perhaps we need to amass more knowledge first."
