The video shows it all.

Looked like the Thornguard was bugged out. Was trying to move up the hill but kept sliding down.

Exactly. Tricked the guard into pathing around the wrong way, and he managed to get stuck there.

It took a long time to kill him, but it worked.

The best thing about this fight is that I had enough time to go and refill my drink and popcorn!

How much loot did you get off the guard?

Did you lose any reputation for attacking the guard?

No loot that I was aware of - didn't pay attention to inventory beforehand, but I didn't notice anything significant in my inventory afterwards.

I'm not sure about reputation. Is there even a way to check at this time? I was already negative reputation from killing players, so there was no change with the guards/NPCs attitude towards me.

Looks like there needs to be some kind of information, maybe in the combat chat channel, that tells you what you got out of a fight.

You get negative reputation for attacking guards. It is how I tanked mine on Murderhobo.

I like that the guards aren't invincible, just improbably strong. At least they don't cheat like CONCORD (though I guess that may come later, depending on player shenanigans).

I thought I heard someone at the demo room saying it doesn't affect your rep—just makes that guard hate you indefinitely.

Huh. When I whacked a guard I am almost certain that the trainers went to "You are an a~~+#+~, no training for you". Maybe I am mistaken.

I could be wrong, too. I'm a bit sick and wasn't paying close attention to what those dweebs behind me were saying.

Yeah, just about anything (e.g. attacking guards, attacking non-aggressive players, etc.) seems to make you lose rep, and the guards chase you down. Additionally, it is true that the trainers seem to suddenly think you have bird flu and want nothing to do with you (of course, saying something about your low reputation...).

I didn't think killing guards would lower your rep, but I haven't done much with the guards besides set their stats so I could be wrong.

Maybe -killing- one has a different effect than hitting one?
