Oh great the blind and stuttering folks are together...;) Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor movie comes to mind "S-s-stay there. J-j-just a c-c-couple." Halkale says down to Quiella.

Quiella, you are right and I totally missed the feat in the list. I've made the change, so I'll update the profile. HAH no more GM Harker saying I missed due to you

*We* were the cause of several accidents. My guess is soon I'll be looking for a new job. A few folks at my work apparently felt I wasn't "Management" material and proceeded to make my life pretty miserable. I've stepped down as manager but I see the writing on the wall and would prefer to work somewhere that is less...spirit crushing. so, to sum up. I ended up with some drow hating on me, I failed a will save and now I have permanent ability damage. (hopefully my next place will have a good healer)

If only he hadn't used all his channels....because you know..damage. Ensu begins tapping each person with a wand. Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

A note to all my games: I am closing on my house on 10/30 at 9AM Central. That means between now and then and a few days after, my world revolves around packing and getting ready to move. We are moving all the big stuff the next day. Internet should be on at the house 10/30 in the afternoon. I will be checking through various mobile forms of communication but please don't let me hold up games. Thanks.

Interesting, I read it that you were responsible for their lives as in they were under your protection until handed over to the legal authorities. As in, you wouldn't let the party kill them after they talked. Coupled with everything else, I think my interpretation fits better, that the paladin of Iomedae is concerned with the root of evil, not the actual symptoms. Up to now, he's captured an assassin in a failed attempt, made her talk and then handed her over to the government. Not sure he's really had a quandary yet.
One of my friends just saw the bit about the Mountain Druid and just squeed. Yes, he's been RPing one, now he has some more lore and some actual spells and such to continue. You just made a few players very happy in my little world. Also...Fire! Also, Also..Why did you link that KS Neil Spicer...you now owe me money.
That was my point on the phylactery. The only thing is it keeps the threads from being Did this paladin fall? and they become Should I trigger the phylactery? The core issue in all these threads is a lack of communication and/or differing expectations by the GM and player. The core answer is always, if you have to ask, they didn't. GMs: work with your players to figure out what kinda of code you want to play. Players: work with your GM to make sure you have something set up to warn you of potentially bad behavior. I love paladins. Played one in AD&D and have a couple here on the forums. But I'll never play one in a game where the GM doesn't work with me to 1) Approve a code and 2) have some idea of when I might be close to doing something wrong. I'll just go play something else. To be honest, if i were the paladin in question in these threads, I bet I would not be having fun, if it's not the player being a jerk.
How does a level 6 ranger not have an efficient quiver filled with all sorts of arrows and handy haversack with a few more, just in case? At level 1, my ranger is carrying 40 arrows and he's still in Sandpoint. I guess my days in WOW, back when you had to buy ammo taught me that you can never have too many arrows. Running out of ammo while in Black Temple is bad...bad. Especially, when you are the kiter. Also, all of you get off my lawn.
From D20 website: Physical Description: A wand is 6 to 12 inches long, 1/4 inch thick, and weighs no more than 1 ounce. Most wands are wood, but some are bone, metal, or even crystal. A typical wand has Armor Class 7, 5 hit points, hardness 5, and a break DC of 16. If you are the GM, you can do anything, because MAGIC!

"Aha, I see it now. Everyone be still, try not to breathe too heavily. Tierest slowly moves to the position he needs to be in and calmly pulls the iron spike and hammer from his pack. Disable Device, McGuyver Style: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24 With deft and precise movements, Teirest hammers the iron spike in the small hole he found. Once done, he glances around and says. "Now, quickly but calmly, proceed to the other end. Again, quickly, but don't run."
Thought I would share how I got it done, in case others are thinking about it. I went to FedEx/Kinkos and asked them to cut the binding off, then spiral bound the books. Decided that each one would be too small, so went with 3 in each bound book. I left the covers on, meaning you have a nice spot to see where the books end. The finished product is about 1/2 inch in thickness and the guy shaved the covers a little to make them fit into the binding better. I had them put a clear plastic cover on the front and black and thicker piece on the back. My plan is to take a label of some sort and put the book numbers on the front so I'll know which one is which. I will probably do the Reign of Winter AP too. The cost is about $20 bucks, you could probably save a little by combining the books into one volume or add a little by doing them in pairs, as there is a cost for each binding. Once you get the binding removed, I suppose you could put them in a three ring binder, to give them a bit more protection. I am probably eating up the savings for being a AP subscriber, but I think the end product is worth a bit more and it gives me a campaign source that opens flat, instead of having to fight the binding. I've thought about dropping the AP subscription and just buying the PDF and printing them out, because I have access to several color laser printers, but I like the idea of getting the heavier stock in the book. Plus then I would lose my 15% for the other purchases and in the end maybe break even. |
