Ahn runs forward, maintaining distance with Kiboko... and, for lack of knowing any better will try produce flame.

The ball of flame appears in his hand... ready for a throw...

I see we were told about adamantine

Ahn looks dubiously at the obstacle. "by Ragathiel... I'm not going to make that gap. I have a potion that will allow me to fly, but what a waste for such an obstacle."

"Ropes... could we make this easier with a support line. Maybe then I could try it... I have a talisman that will let me fall like a feather should I slip.", Ahn looks down, "but no telling what's at the bottom of this chasm."

On the other hand... with Expeditious retreat that'd be a +8 to his jump check if this is a straight JUMP... still, +5 total for a DC 24 is pretty bad...

"That column would make a nice bridge... if we could just get it there."

Ahn is happy to have the bridge to cross the chasm.. his plate mail has always made him unsteady...

Ahn pulls out his Wand of Expeditious Retreat and taps himself with it... UMD: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Then brings his bow to the ready.

Also, if he was ever more than 30 feet from Kiboko he needs to refresh shield other... umd: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Ahn examines the corpse of the dwarf, looking intently at the writing on the hammer, "If I'm not mistaken, that's Dwarven for 'Oath Keeper'", then he clutches his holy symbol, detecting evil... and then magic on the dwarf and hammer.

When the maiden's and hammers are visible, Ahn thinks back to the hammer with the desiccated dwarf... are they a match? Does it look like Maybe the one missing from the maiden's hands is with the dwarf?

Good luck... hellish conditions over there.

Sorry for the RL stress! Welcome back to the fantasy world though!

I think, given no time constraint, we rested, and are now at 8-12 hours after the initial encounter... all healed and recharged. Which also has us within the lucky numbers time still.

Ahn sighs... glancing down at his metal clad body...

"If there's no time constraint, I'm happy to rest. That fight was draining... I don't know if there's enough in me to bring someone back from the brink. I get uncomfortable when I can no longer raise a fallen comrade."

While we discuss over the period of a little less than a minute, Ahn grimaces periodically as Kibiko's wounds transfer to him.

After three taps (16 hp), he taps, the wand fizzles, Ahn shakes it... tosses it to the side.

Magra is casting on Kogan as we go... looks like buffing/healing from a distance during the fight is ok if you got any aids...

What does the battlefield look like... does it look like Ahn could be within 35 feet of Kiboko for the entire battle ... if so, he'll shield other... otherwise, he'll add a second Life Link on him, assuming Quilla's list in the discussion is active.

Wearing full plate, weathered and dull, covered partially in a grey hooded greatcoat with crimson lining, a gnome travels with the party. Carrying a pack, greatsword, and bow the gnome has been hustling to keep up with the larger folk. The etched symbol of a sword crossing a feathered wing is evident on his breastplate and on a symbol hanging from his neck.

To the Venture Captain, "Is there any information, map perhaps, detailing how to get to the Stele once in citadel? Or how to activate and use the device when found?"

"I speak many languages... they're a speciality of mine, but alas, more unusual languages... not Dwarven. Does anyone else speak Dwarven... or should we obtain magical means, should anything untoward happen to Kiboko?"

Ahn will purchase a potion of fly. He places it in a spring loaded wrist sheath, a wand of expeditious retreat in the other.

Salvation was one that Ahn just jumped in at the end of an Arc...

And again, if you go with 5, that's fine! Base the decision on what you all would prefer.

The entire point of Ahn was to get to Ultimate Mercy as fast as possible (while maintaining some interesting aspects, like his Produce Flame is fun). Not great in combat, though when he's smiting he holds his own. 14 LOH at 5d6 (with greater) +10 (on self), and if he's got 10 LOH available, can raise dead... which is handy even if only used at the end of the scenario.)

The Nimbus of Light is a handy little boost.

He's often wishing for more magic... which he'll pick up a little as he starts taking Oracle levels...

Absolutely no problems if you continue recruiting others! Boards are pretty quiet, so hopped on the first I saw, and the citadels are interesting!

"Yes, you'd do well to have a dedicated caster with you. I'm willing to help if required, but no skin off my back if not."

Ahn is not familiar with the prior events of this party, having just come off a tough time with Salvation of the Sages (has not played the prior two), but he's sitting at the lodge, ready and looking for some action to take his mind off recent events.

Whoops... Level 1... something... awaiting first assignment!

Yeah, I'd love to play... but I already have played through that chain with Seelah (team paladin!). Was an excellent PFS experience (I rarely play through any story arcs.)

I've never applied the chronicles to anything... I should look into that...

Seeing how hard the others are being on themselves Ahn pipes in, "Ischell... Athum... you're looking at this all wrong. I too am not proud of having to withdraw from the corrupted paladin early in the fight, but by fleeing in that moment I survived and was then able to keep others from dying. Every hit either of you took, any time a spell was cast on you... whether or not you withstood the powers... you were saving someone else from that fate. One less hit. One less attempt from Tahari to enchant us. Each of us played an important role on this team, even if that role was to take a pummeling from Tahari or her minions. If any one of us was not here, this could have ended much worse. Be proud of our accomplishment."
