Don't think so, Quiella...both lance and great sword are 2-handed weapons; since you're wielding one in an attack, don't see how you could hold the other...
Takahiro blesses the party as Ahn and Kelemur move towards the fray.
Quiella makes a bold charge on her noble steed, driving her lance deeply into the gut of the golem, stopping it in its tracks; even though it's tough exterior blunts some of the impact, it clearly suffered a powerful blow. Caolmhe's horns land as well but the golem's exterior absorbs the strike...
The golem's two massive fists come down upon Quiella in retribution...
Fist1 (Quiella): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23
Damage: 2d10 + 7 ⇒ (6, 5) + 7 = 18
Fist2 (Quiella): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34
Damage: 2d10 + 7 ⇒ (9, 5) + 7 = 21
Quiella nimbly shifts in her saddle causing the golem's left fist to miss wide...but she can't avoid the right fist which lands most painfully on her left shoulder...

here is my case. Two handed weapons can be held (but not used) with one hand. For instance, to cast a spell or use lay on hands. The lance entry states: "While mounted, you can wield a lance with one hand." So this is what I was imagining:
Quiella holds her greatsword in one hand, unusable because it is not two handed
She holds her lance in the other hand while charging
After impact, she drops the lance and switches to a two handed grip on her greatsword as a free action
by RAW I think it is completely legal. If you won't let me I won't argue further. This kind of shenanigans is part of why it is an action to shift grip from 1h to 2h in PF2
GM Otha
|
I get where you can hold one in each hand when not fighting...from watching the knight films of old (Ivanhoe, Excalibur, A Knight's Tale), I also get that once mounted and charging, a lance is held with one hand/arm. But the other hand/arm is guiding the mount, which I would think would be most difficult if holding a great sword in the off hand. However, I don't know the technical rules as well as most of you, so I'll allow it; in this particular instance, I don't think it'll make much of a difference either way...
Quiella
|
it is the difference between a single attack and a full attack this round. You can make a ride check to guide your mount with your knees. However, I assume that Quiella tells Sèriè where to go via their link (I.e. handle animal) making such a ride check unnecessary. One of these two ways is how a mounted character would use a lance and shield at the same time

Yeah, Quiella, go ahead and make the full attack...what I meant when I said it won't make much difference is that I think it's gonna be dead this round whether you make a standard attack or a full round attack...

Zeno retrieves the magical figurine he discovered earlier, noting it is in the shape of an elephant. As Takahiro leads your group up the stairs, you see that...
A kingly statue overlooks this chamber from atop a balcony and extends a mighty arm that terminates in a clenched fist. Eight metallic columns, each magnificently carved with dwarven figures, support the forty-foot vaulted ceiling. Gold-plated bannisters run along either side of the stairs, and etched bronze and brass wall tiles depict the tale of Koldukar's founding. Along the upper level sit sixteen ornate thrones, one of which bears the withered remains of a stately male dwarf.

unless you get to add charisma, I don't think Quiella can beat a caster level check. Would lay on hands have the same restriction? Channel energy and lay on hands are both supernatural abilities, not spell like abilities
GM Otha
|
Hmm...it says resistant to magical healing (doesn't mention spell-like). I'll admit I'm a bit ignorant here...is a supernatural ability considered magical?
Kiboko
|
(Su) abilities are magical - they get shut down by an Anti-Magic Field. However, neither Channel nor Lay on Hands has a Caster Level so I don't see how you can make a Caster Level check with them tbh.
ETA: kinda feels too 'easy' if channel works normally, but too hard if it doesn't. The clay golem cursed wound is a sucky ability, it's really hard to hit CL 26 at level 9.
if channel/loh doesn't work then Kiboko will pick up a page of spell knowledge before we officially finish, for clw. It might take a couple of weeks but burning all spell slots on clw about 15% will succeed and the wound will be healed.
GM Otha
|
No worries, we're near the end, the encounter left is not really life threatening, so it's not worth all that trouble...we'll say the channels worked but not the clw...
Kiboko
|
"Mvumbu is still hurt. Kiboko will learn new magics to heal her..."
Kiboko looks up at the dwarven statues, and notes the remains on one of the thrones.
