Faces Around the Grand Lodge

Hello, Pathfinders!

What’s this month’s new gossip, you ask? New faces popping up around the Grand Lodge and the Maze of the Open Road!

Spotted chatting with Fola Barun and touring the Grand Lodge was a handsome man with tattoos and gorgeous hair. Rumor is his name is Taiwalei and he hails from around the Okaiyo Ocean. He’s been seen by a number of different agents shadowing venture-captains and talking about leadership strategies, while also discussing the Maze of the Open Road and its recent weird fluctuations. The most fascinating part, however, is that he seems to be juggling the attentions of both Fola and our own Mr. Available, Eando Kline! Who knows what that could bring come springtime?

Taiwalei - a human man with dark tan skin and long black hair in a decorative ponytail with geometric black tattoos on his shoulder and arm and a dragon tooth blade in his hand. He looks friendly a light green skinned genderfluid djinni with blue-white floating hair, dressed in multicolored silks and gold jewels with blue stones. They look mischievous

The other face magically appearing around the Grand Lodge? A djinni! Safa hails from Qadira, though according to my sources, they’ve traveled as far as Jalmeray and, of course, all over the Plane of Air! They showed up accompanied by Venture-Captain Esmayl ibn Qaradi—no confirmation of romance between the two yet! Apparently, Safa recently saw the end of a terrible genie-binding (good riddance, I say!) and is taking the time to explore the Pathfinder Society and see what we’re all about. Rumor is that they’re planning a trip out to Jalmeray soon and plan to act as leadership for some Pathfinders. Looks like our venture-captains are about to get a breath of fresh air!

That’s all I’ve seen so far! Tune in next month when I go undercover to discover who Gorm has been visiting every Fireday, what exactly is written in Kreighton’s secret journals, when we’ll see an update from Sorrina’s new experiments, where the Waterfall has been buying all of her dresses, and why I can’t seem to get into Ambrus’s quarters anymore!

I don't think I've yet met Taiwalei in my PFS adventures, but I've come to absolutely adore Safa after Season 3, and I'm super jazzed to see them as a Venture-Captain.

Omg I hate Safa.

Our local GM played her so well with the whole “I hate to but” angle that she made an impression over what typical NPCs leave.

A poppet newsreporter comes forward and takes notes on all the new relationship gossip. "Hello, it's Jinglemane here of the Mane Event, your source for Pathfinder Lairs, Dares and Hair Care! How come I haven't heard of this Venture Gossip person until now? And how does one get a Venture Gossip position, because I want one?!"

Jinglemane and his girl Kit will be so excited to meet Safa!

It looks like Safa's pronouns are they/them, and not she/her as some have posted...

In all the scenarios they have appeared in, Safa has always had those pronouns.

I don't believe they will be a new VC. It would be way more interesting if they were a new faction leader. Return of the Concordance of Elements perhaps?

Safa's pretty cool, but... "A djinni!" Isn't 'djinni' plural, singular 'djinn'? Or did I miss something in Golarion's lore?

djinni is singular

djinn is plural

I suppose that would make sense if I spoke Arabic.
