Omrax the Bold
|
Omrax pauses a moment when there is no response from either the golem or its vile master.
Doth thou contemplate repentance?
Delaying to let party move in before selecting attack on either the demon or pile of bones.
Kahwen
|
"It seems your grotesque quest for power has left you with a severe weakness, fiend!" Kahwen says when the counter attack he had braced himself for is not forthcoming.
He decides that the best defense is messing the other guy up so much that he can't strike back, especially with Omrax distracting Thurl even more.

Man...those are some terrible rolls. If the first one hits I'll also apply the Disoriented Debilitating injury, so he gets -2 to attack rolls for 1 round and a -6 to attack rolls against Kahwen.

Resolving Svetlana's turn first, since it's the end of the previous round
Svetlana's smite smashes into Thurl, doing significant damage.
The golem's immunity to magic means it shrugs off the ill wishes of the axiomites.
At caster level 9, the axiomites can't possibly get through Thurl's spell resistance.
One of Kahwen's attacks hits, but only because Thurl is overwhelmed with pain.
Thurl -246 HP
Omrax, Galandaro, and Helgar are up. (so is Muhlia, but I'll wait until more of you go)

no smite and assuming not evil outsider, the attack roll drops by 9 and damage drops by 27 ( so attack hits AC 27 (25 without flank) and 29 damage) - DR applies. The last roll was mat-1.

Helgar dashes up and drops a moveable pit under the golem. It might be immune to magic but it is not immune to gravity!

The golem falls into the pit.
At this point, the golem has no way of harming you, so you can safely plink away until it's dead. I'm calling the fight; it would just be tedious.
Having dealt with Thurl and the golem he constructed, you able to search the room. You find the remaining three rune plates. Taking the plates and Borsaget's skull, you are able to return to Kolm Durrendar. He is aghast to learn of the damage, but he and various priests and servants of Magrim quickly begin to discuss with Borsaget how best to restore the ossuary. You are warmly thanked for your help and sent back to Ambrus Valsin. He is surprised to learn of Muhlia's reform, but agrees to see if there is something helpful she can do.
Muhlia sends you a missive a few weeks later that indicates the glabrezu
Koth’Vaul has dangerous plans of his own that are nearing completion—a deadly threat that only a group of powerful Pathfinders like you might confront!
=====================THE END=============================
Kahwen
|
"Huzzah!" Kahwen cries, brandishing his blade over his head as the golem's threat is ended and it falls into a heap of bones at the bottom of the pit.
"But we'll always be there to knock them down, Friend Omrax!" he declares.
'Hellion' Svetlana Irriseni
|
"Yes, a blight removed" Svetlana smiles as she cleans off her blade "that creature's foul practices and awful presence no longer trouble the world, and we are all better off because of it"
Galandaro Tinalmathian
|
"Good job friends. It appears our mission is a success. We should record this for future reference in case other agents come across these foes. I wonder if this golem is salvageable for display in the Blakros museum...If we are done here let me know so I can Teleport us away from possible dangers."
'Hellion' Svetlana Irriseni
|
Svetlana turns to the Axiomote army "Your work here is done, I shall call again if you are needed" she turns to Galandro, "Yes a safe transport out of this area would be ideal"
Later
Svetlana turns to Omrax, the Hellknight looks at the Paladin with a set and determined stare.
"I think we both share the same ideals about what we would like to see in the world. Peace. Order. Our methods differ, but we both agree that they must be within the rule of law and order, and that chaos and evil have no place in our realms. Your sword and my chains are different tools, yet both are forged for the same purpose: to shield the innocent, to punish the wicked, and to bind ourselves to a higher calling. Where you are the radiant light, I am the unyielding wall, both necessary, both sworn. Should you find yourself seeking additional steel to drive some great evil from the land in future, I invite you to send word to me in Citadel Enferac. You will not be denied support" she taps her mailed fist to her heart in a show of respect to the fellow warrior.
I wanted to summon in a horde of Erinyes as a great cinematic, but refrained for Omrax sake :p
Was the ending suggesting there was a follow on scenario?

Omrax appreciates the restraint, but could have role played through it. Like the time he was in a party with 5 pirate swashbucklers. :)
”Alas, you speak true, Lady Svetlana. There is far too much chaos and evil in this world and stalwart allies to thwart it are always welcome in this struggle. “
