updated cmb and cmd they were way off!

![]() |

Sunder failed vs cmd, I couldn't parry last attack without a spirit die, want to save for a riposte. Took 12 off cold, 10 off stone and 15 off false life. 2 off panache gain 1 back for confirm crit

![]() |

I honestly expect that Eric's Mirror Images will be ignored, but I placed them on the battlefield just so folks viewing from the outside will see them.

![]() |

They probably? work, since we disabled the True Seeing with Daylight. It still has Blindsense, so it kind of depends on how that's ruled to interact with Mirror Images. Blindsense is imprecise though, so usually using just that to target something would take total concealment miss chance penalties.

![]() |

Cool - we'll just need to keep an eye on the images then when it next attacks.

![]() |

Holy moly! Back to back crits! Sarenrae is with us! Expended another round of rage and bane, restored 1 panache.

cmlobue |

That is a lot of damage. I presume you're using a falcata, but how are you getting it to 3d6 base damage? Though it's still a kill shot, even if it's the 2d6 I would expect from enlarge person...

![]() |

Falcata, 2d6 enlarge, 3d6 id rager, he attacks me gain 1 virtual size increase and +2 to hit. Dedication spirit, dutiful strike.

![]() |

May as well get Julia's Day Job out of the way.
She has a controlling interest in a shipping company (Three Sisters Transport), allowing her to use Diplomacy for her Day Job checks.
Her Rising Star boon grants a +3 bonus on those checks.
Diplomacy for Julia's DayJob: 1d20 + 20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 20 + 3 = 42
Her 40+ total nets her 150 gp for this mission.

cmlobue |

Please check the >sign in sheet< for accuracy. If you want your downtime noted on it, roll it here.

![]() |

Katswiri paints in her downtime: Craft: Painting: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
75 GP

![]() |

Eric takes 10 on diplo for 35 and 100gp.
Man we had a rough start but a great finish!

I have a warpriest with a one level dip for id rager for exactly this. I used a boon to let him use a butchering axe and he also has vital strike. Absolutely brutal.

![]() |

Thanks for running, GM! This was a really fun one.
Day Job:
Craft (Sushi): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (15) + 23 = 38
Just a reminder: Undy is SLOW TRACK for this scenario (already noted in RPG chronicles).

![]() |

Craft (Alchemy): 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (1) + 39 = 40
I can no longer not roll the maximum (EDIT: rofl, case in point!)! One of those Boons that allows higher Day Job rewards would be really nice for me....

Chronicles are >HERE< and the session has been reported to HQ. Please let me know if there are any questions or problems.

This game have boon rolls?

cmlobue |

Indeed they do. 19 or 20 wins.
Boon, GM: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Boon, Eric: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Boon, Amwari: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Boon, Undy: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Boon, Zephyrus: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Boon, Julia: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Boon, Katswiri: 1d20 ⇒ 10

Looks good! Thanks, GM!

Oh, Undiana, before we part ways, could I try to crib from your spellbook (sorry to say it'd be a 1-way benefit, though)?
*checks your sheet* Hmmm, where IS your spellbook...?
DM, were there any "named NPC scholar[s], knowledgeable spellcaster[s], or similar figure[s]" in this adventure I could try to pitch the Dark Archive to?
If so, I would auto-succeed at the required DC 25 Knowledge (Arcana) check!

His spellbook is all in Hero Lab. But unless I'm mistaken, there's no longer any particular benefit from getting spells from other players vs just getting them from the lodge - either way you pay the same cost for scribing the spells into your book.

His spellbook is all in Hero Lab.
Sooo...is there a link or something? I can't find one. How is that supposed to work?

I was once in a party specifically put together so a bunch of "prepared" mages could maximize their spell-trading opportunities with each other; I think the benefit is being able to not have to pay anything more than the scribing cost.

cmlobue |

I don't think the Dark Archive is interested in the scholar you recruited (and Mother Bloodleaf wouldn't have turned coat even if she were alive). Sadly, specials aren't great for meeting NPCs.

If there is something specific you are looking for I can look at the spellbook and tell you if I have it.

*shrug* Anything an Alchemist could learn that I still haven't.
DOES it cost more to "get them from the Lodge", though? It may all be moot if I don't have to pay anything beyond scribing costs to start with.

![]() |

I'm going to have to figure out the spell scribing next level, Katswiri will be taking the Arcane Archivist revelation and will be able to cast 1 spell/day out of a spellbook, but it deletes the spell.
Then I have to decide if its worth it to get a Blessed Book to let her rescribe the spells as they erase for free, or just treat it kind of a like a scroll resource and pay to rescribe as needed.

Would you object to copypasting the contents of your spellbook for me to see here, Undiana?

Hero Lab doesn't have that functionality. Sorry.

You can't just 'Ctrl-C' there and 'Ctrl-V' here? So how are people on other sites supposed to verify what a player has on that site?

Nope, Hero Lab doesn't have that functionality. I suppose if a GM asked me for verification I would go figure out how to take screen shots and email them to them but so far no one until you has raised the issue. Frankly, my attitude about this when I'm GM-ing is that if someone wants to cheat at a make-believe game they've got bigger issues than me needing to police them.
In any case, I'm pretty sure that the value of your time and mine that we've now spent discussing this is more than the few gold pieces you might have saved on spell costs so I'm going to bow out of the conversation. Good playing with you and see you around at another table sometime.

So how does one get the boon?

![]() |

How do I contact them, I have yet to receive it.
