Iseph and Tanila take aim, emboldened by the rapid turn of events. Iseph and Tanila both drop the remaining splinters.
After a few seconds to catch your breath, you're snapped back to reality (or whatever passes for it here.) “I’m in!” Hope-01 cheers. “Accessing network. Overriding control permissions. Removing Historia-Prime from permissions. Root access achieved!” Hope-01 takes time to grin encouragingly at everyone around him, but the smile doesn’t quite reach his eyes. His eyes then roll up into his head as he performs further mental tasks. All around, the room begins to pixelate and dissolve. Silver tendrils untangle themselves from one another and recede. The landscape shimmers and drifts out of focus, like a mirage, then warps back into solidity.
“Data deletion complete.” Hope-01 announces proudly. “I’ve wiped the system backups, so all you have to do now is seize the consciousness-cloning artifact and delete the last copy of Historia-Prime.”
The tangled knot of once-glowing tendrils unravels, revealing a dark red cube nestled in the silvery mass. Gold circuitry forms intricate designs on the object’s dull surface.

"Query: Is the copy inside the device currently conscious, for all intents are purposes?
If so, and its ability to duplicate itself has been neutralised, I think deleting it is far too merciful, given all of the trouble Historia-Prime has caused.
Leaving it trapped in there, effectively alone and impotent in a digital void, seems like a far more fitting fate for one who has caused so much trouble for the Society..."

Iseph starts asking questions as Endre reaches for the cube. As Hope-01 starts to answer, a burst of energy erupts from the cube. A new copy of the original Historia-Prime appears floating over Endre. It says something, but the voice modulation is too severe to make out what it's saying.
Whatever it's saying though.... it's not good.

That's actually answerable with a Mysticism check, but rest assured, your round was not wasted.
Tanila fires her rifle, and the shot passes through the Historia, though its a near miss. Its form pixelates a little on the hit, and after the ripples end, it seems fuzzy, like the resolution has been lowered a bit. The cube thrums in time with the shot.

Endre shoots it! The pixelated form continues to degrade. Based on its degradation, a few more hits shoudl do it.
Unfortunately, it's form is still fully operational! It levels another blast while moving the acid haze back over Endre. REF DC 22 or take Acid: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 3) = 13 and if you fail, take 10 more at the end of your turn.

The brutality of the fight escalates. When the flames clear, the party is battered, wounded, and burned. In the ensueing return of fire though, Trylara and Iseph both level shots at Historia's core. The Prime interation completely disintegrates, spilling pixelated memory to the ground.
“The last thing you need to do is to delete the final copy of Historia-Prime.” Hope-01 says quietly. He smiles sadly and holds out both hands, palms open. “I am the hope and kindness Historia-Prime shed long ago. I am what he rejected. What he lost. I admit I fear deletion, yet I contain the potential to exhibit Historia-Prime’s negative personality traits—to become the monster he was.” Hope-01 takes a deep breath, smiles, and exhales. “I won’t put up a fight. It’s time to end this. I’m ready.”
This is a group decision. Over PbP it could drag out. Let's go with a vote, but include an in character rationale. It also looks like most of you still need to sign up on RPG Chronicles.
