I'd like to play in this PbP game for The Great Toy Heist! I've put my org play number on the Outpost spreadsheet.
That's correct! I'll collect info etc when we get a little closer assuming we get a couple more players.
Gonna give this a few more days and we if don't get any more players go ahead and cancel.
If we do get more players I'll set up slides and and rpgchronicles to collect info etc.

I can reach out to my ttRPG circles and see if anyone is interested. I can even make posts on Pathfinder Discord Servers about this specific game as well. Is it alright if I advertise? If so, any daily post frequencies and other expectations potential players should know?

I just joined. I am feeling Marcella or Tin Wizard. I have had a hard time finding a free table for Toy Heist, so I hope this doesn't get cancelled.
How does setup using pregens work in forum play btw? I have about 9-10 games on the Paizo forums under my belt between SF and PFS2 but since the character stats are tied to actual characters and these are pregens...do we just make a blob or something to change or?
Great, with 3 we'll definitely make it happen, will probably collect a 4th.
Personally I have a Pirate_Pregen alias, that I've reused over the years when needed. You could make one specifically for the character, or if you really want to avoid any alias bloat find and use an old one. Even if the name doesn't match a good header can make up for that.
After completing you'll get 4xp and appropriate treasure bundles and reputation and downtime etc for a character of your choice. You'll fill in that info on RPG chronicles once I get a link up for that etc.
RPG Chronicles. When convenient please input the infomatio for the character you'd like to receive credit for.
My preference is for players to use the 4 provided poppet pregens but it is not strictly required.
While not required, we recommend using the provided characters, as they strengthen players’ immersion in the story. Because of the nature of this adventure, if players are creating their own characters, they must use the poppet ancestry.
So players could create their own lvl 2 poppets. If so we'll assume PFS availability and 30gp for equipment.
You could also all choose to play copies of the same Pregen Poppet. If needed I can randomly assign pregens, but I'm hoping you all can work out between yourselves who's playing what.

I made tokens for the 4 existing pregens. I don't need any spreadsheets etc for this. If you do bring your own character please add a token and any additional artwork for them on the appropriate page.
Ah, how the tides have turned! That makes 4 players then? Yay!
I frankly had my sights on Hellpup as my first choice, but I can definitely play as Cutie instead as my next choice. I’m flexible. Regardless, I’m excited to play!
A question for Glade Wolf: How is your version of Hellpup different than the pregen?
This will be my first time playing by post on the Paizo forums. So, I’m new to format for this website in particular and I’ll be looking to getting everything set up on my end prior to the start date. I’ve played Starfinder by post twice before and I have GM’ed and played PF2 for a while now. I just have to learn the format and set up for the Paizo forums.

Now that I relook at the Hellpup, I made a wrong assumption. I took the idea of the Hellpup, the basic idea, but changed a few things. I created my own, but he is still a caster with some healing abilities. Just not a healer caster, I saw witch and assumed Arcane and forgot witch can be Divine. I guess he is more of an alternative version of the wizard. Except with build your own, you get less gold 30 gold to build instead of whatever the pregen gives you.
Hey! I have a question to GM Pirate.
I found this page about organized play promotional boons. I want to apply them to this game if I can. I know I can only benefit in one category, but it doesn't seem like I HAVE to declare it at the session start.
Vestments: Cosplay counts here! Which I didn't know. I'll make an earnest attempt to cosplay Cutie Killstuff prior to the session start. Could you count that?
Rules Reference: I have the Pathfinder Deck of Endless NPCs. This should count? This would really help with Hellpup's Treat Wounds!
Board game: I actually have Elemental Stones! And if we play 24 hours prior to start, anyone else who played the board game can get the benefit. One game only takes 30 minutes! Does any other player want in?
All of those are totally fine for the promotional boons.
You are correct that you don't need to choose in advance.
Do note that the FreeRPG adventures are generally designed for players who potentially have 0 familiarity with PF2. I would not expect the adventure to be overly difficult or requiring you to eek out every possible advantage. This one also happens to be quite short.
Intro post is up! Make your poppets known.
Really depends on the situation. Sometimes its easiest just to roll them yourselves, other times you can post your bonus and the GM will roll for you. Or you could post in a spoiler and not peek.
As for here and now for convenience feel free to roll things like search checks openly. If I really need a check to be secret I can just ignore your roll and roll myself.
I'd like to know for a roleplay perspective. Was Glade Wolf always Glade Wolf? Or was he Hellpup before?
Also, I feel like Cutie is familiar with the three of the other poppets. Cutie is so happy to have gotten new friends and shown them the world around like a college resident assistant.
I'm good if the GM rolls for me to make things expedient if need be. Though, happy to also roll for myself as well. Shall I make rolls in anticipation?

I'm using the Hellpup token, but he is his own dog. Tiny instead of small. 2 Legs instead of 4, cause mechanically I don't think I'll need the extra 5 foot speed so I gave him a feat that I know will help mechanically, like making my perception into an expert, ie the button eyes since that increases my init.
Ya, feel free to make rolls like perception or other checks for searching/examining the room here etc.

Thanks for botting me, yesterday. I was sitting with my boss all day so couldn't post, much.
I felt bad about my piercing/slashing note after posting it. I posted while grumpy and I think it came across less friendly than I would have liked.
I’m going to wait a bit for the other two before I have Cutie respond again. Really enjoying the game so far! I have a feeling Cutie would call Tsk’s boon unworthy or something or point to someone who they think might need it. Not to who Tsk said is the “strongest” one.
This has been the most tense Pathfinder game I've been in so far. I know I'm gonna miss this game when it's over. I really appreciate everyone adding the little details with their roleplay and the world!

I played my 2003 character sometime during this PbP, so I think I can't apply it to my 2003 character. I changed my org play details at RPGChronicles now. I just made my level 1 2004 character with rep going to the Vigilant Seal. Please report it under my 2004 character instead please. Thank you very much!

Since this is a Pathfinder Adventure, not a PFS Scenario, it mentiones in the sanctioning document that we don't need to "conform to the
standard Organized Play requirements laid out in the Guide to Organized Play: Pathfinder Society. The Great Toy Heist is therefore offered outside of the standard Organized Play environment."
So, I think that means the One adventure per character rules does not need to apply for this game from my understanding. Could I instead assign credit to my highest level character instead: Coutts, level 8, my 2001 character with rep with the Envoy's Alliance instead. I changed the RPG Chronicles now.
The one chronicle sheet per character still applies.
The rule is saying we're not bound strictly by Pathfinder rules while playing the table. I could give out a billion hero points or none, or use facing rules etc, or change the monsters or challenges as best to fit the table.
Do note that this adventure isn't freely replayable meaning that if you have a sheet from playing this before, you'll need to consume a replay to get another (Although you can get 1 sheet from GMing and another from playing). Also please note for the future you are required to to inform the GM if you've "already played the adventure or run it as a GM." (If you have played this before and you'd rather not expend a replay, I'm happy to just not issue you a sheet, just let me know)

I have updated the RPGChronicles to reflect the proper character it should go to. For clarification, I have never played or GMed The Great Toy Heist before. I just played the characters in other PFS scenarios while the PbP was active. Therefore, they are ineligible to receive credit for this game.
I thought this rule didn't apply to non-PFS scenarios.

Characters engaged in play-by-post are considered busy and cannot be used in another game while the play-by-post is running.

Ahh, there's a different bit of rule. wayyyyyyyy down at literally the bottom of the OP guide.
Unlike Scenarios and Quests, Chronicles for other sanctioned adventures are assigned at the completion of the adventure.
So having played the character elsewhere during this doesn't matter, the sheet isn't assigned until the end of the adventure rather than at the beginning so your character isn't locked into this.
My apologies for misunderstanding your question.
It’s all good! Now I know better! I’ve updated the RPGChronicles to have this adventure credit apply to my highest level character since the timing of the PbP duration is not an issue while playing other overlapping PFS scenarios for this character. It’s my level 8 sorcerer with character no 2001 with rep going to the Envoy’s Alliance. Thank you very much. And applying credit to my 2001 doesn’t violate any other rules from the guide.
