@Party. I took a lot of the very valuable loot. A good diplomacy roll might convince Skarn to reduce his share of the cash after selling.

@Tomas, There's more than one Greater Striking rune in our loot. You should probably put one on your new favourite weapon?

@Jax, how about a Major Spy Staff or a Dragonprism Staff? Just a suggestion. But any staff is good increase spell slots per day.

Sassarra will point out that most of the treasure is useless to her. She will insist that the only fair way to split it is for everybody to count the sell value of items that they take as part of their share.

Consumables and party treasure won't count toward that.

If Skarn doesn't see the value of this, it's not going to be diplomacy she rolls.

While assassins are greedy, they are also lawful. And I am saying player to player not to be a jerk about this. We're not likely to ever find enough treasure geared toward Sassarra in this adventure to make this fair.

As a player, I'm obviously for fairness. But you don't often get the chance to play a greedy NE Goblin thief! (Definitely not lawful!)

Sold back my Caterwaul sling and the bullets as I never used it. Bought myself a wand of jump so I won't waste a level 1 spell slot outside of combat, the spell slots can be used for sure strike which has been nerfed, but hey 10 minutes and can be used again. Bought myself a wand of translocate and a cloak of the bat. Oh and 30 More arrows.
Oh right and 1 wand of disintegrate, so I can cast it once safely outside of combat. I realize how useful hiding bodies is or can be in this game. And a 5th level wand of wall of ice. I'm ready

ok, I submit. Will remove the spellhearts and the Potion Patches. Will get a Greater Retrieval Belt instead. Will equip the sword with a Gallow Tooth tlasmin and the armor with a Greater Emerald Grasshopper talisman.

You have a status bonus and antidotes are item bonuses, so they stack. Heck, I have the highest fort save and I'm buying a bunch of the moderate ones.

I don't know if I like the book's approach here: Forcing everyone to talk and roll.

I get that PF 2e is supposed to be teamwork driven and that the Aid action is only relevant at very low levels. But this doesn't make sense story-wise that the druid would force everyone in the party to give a statement and evaluate everyone separately. Of course, any adventurer party oder team of criminals should have a spokesperson. And what he says should be enough.
We're atually missing it, but most often there's at least one dumb, big, uncharismatic brute that you don't want to open his mouth.
It's a bit railroady...

I suppose that they want to err on the side of giving everybody a say. And with the way the big swingy d20 works, it's good to have more than one chance.

It also makes sense for them, because they want to see if the less suave people break.

I figured a druidic type would be swayed by respecting ancient traditions.

At skarn, I get that, but the Dm did give us hints as to what skills are best for this game. He did say diplomacy deception and intimidation so everyone took one or more of those. Had he not gave us hints we might be lacking a few skills.


He wants to hear from each of you, thats not really unreasonable. I was also clear that you could use a range of skills, providing you could justify its use. Athletics would be very hard to justify but, in a scenario like this, I would not expect to run a character with no useful skills available to them. If you are building characters to the theme of the module then you should have something useful. 2E does a pretty good job of making it fairly east to have a range of options, regardless of class.
