So is Nabla.

DM Lil" Eschie |

It takes you a little more over an hour to get back to the town itself, and half an hour again to ear, in the distance, the echoes of a feast.
You search the quicker path to the source of the sound, hoping to get there in time before whatever evil plans springs into action
DC 15 Survival

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
The Android Hunter points to a deer trail, ”This way, we need to get there in time before whatever evil plans spring into action.”

![]() |

Bummer. Well, it is what it is...
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Nabla cannot find out which path is the quickest, so she defers to the expertise of the Android Hunter.
They seem to know what they are doing...

DM Lil" Eschie |

Rusty guide you toward a clearing, where a feast is surely taking place, by the sound of it...
A low melodic droning carries through the still air, interrupted by random screams of pain and pleasure. Ahead lies a clearing surrounded by low-hanging willow trees.
In the center of the clearing rests a long, bone banquet table covered in mounds of bright red, orange, and yellow flower petals, human skull goblets dripping with wine, and alabaster platters filled with raw meat.
In the center of the table rests a water-filled basin made of carved birch, from the center of which rises the wooden sculpture of a nude woman pouring water from a jar.
There seems to be at least a dozen revelers, gorging themselves on mounds of f lamebloom petals, wine, and raw meat. The diseased cultists
dance and frolic around the gruesome banquet table, humming a macabre dirge interrupted occasionally by a bloodthirsty scream. No one seems to have noticed you so far. You are 40 feet from the feast, see the last map, "Feast of Decay"

Navatsiyk hides kneeling behind shrubs while trying to observe what the cultists are up to.

Ling is more interested in whether they are being snuck up on and keeps checking behind.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 LOL.
Nabla helps Ling checking the back of the group.

![]() |

Perc: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Rusty points out the group’s target, ”There, that’s the scythe lady. And probably an undead guard. Can anyone blast or entangle them from a distance before we just charge in?”

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
I see them, but all I have is a pair of large swords. No blasting for me.

![]() |

"I can shoot with this."
Ling points at his Composite Daikyu.
"But better with this."
The cold iron scimitar does look more deadly, particularly if they are dealing with fey, who have a traditional weakness to cold iron. Though he does have different fletched arrows and some of them might be cold iron too.
Note to others. If you have a bow and no cold iron arrows you might want to ask Ling for some.

![]() |

"Ah, now that you pointed them out, Rusty, I see them, too."
"A wand of entangle is on my shopping list, but I couldn't get one so far. And I have nothing to blast, but I bought a good bow right before this mission."
Note to others. If you have a bow and no cold iron arrows you might want to ask Ling for some.
Good idea!
"Ling, you also use bow and arrows. You wouldn't have any cold iron arrows, would you? I definitely need to put some on my shopping list..."

![]() |

Ling points at the red fletched ones and waves him on over.
"You need, you take."

![]() |

Nabla moves next to Ling, grabs 10 red fletched arrows and puts them in her quiver.
"These should be enough for this fight. Thank you, Ling."
She wields her bow and nocks a cold iron arrow.
"Ready when you are."

![]() |

Rusty prepares to cast a spell upon Cece (magic fang), ”You shoot, then we charge.”
Ready to cast the spell when the arrow is fired.

DM Lil" Eschie |

The revelers and the woman with the scythe are too caught up in their unholy feast to notice your preparations, it seems
Surprise round in your favor!

![]() |

Ok, shall I start the surprise round with the first arrow?
Nabla 5-foot-steps forward, concentrates and designates the woman with the scythe as her focus. swift action to activate Ranger's Focus

I hope that hits...
Ranger's Focus (Ex) At 1st level, once per day, the guide can focus on a single enemy within line of sight as a swift action. That creature remains the ranger's focus until it is reduced to 0 or fewer hit points or surrenders, or until the ranger designates a new focus, whichever occurs first. The ranger gains a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls against the target of his focus. At 5th level, and every five levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +2.
At 4th level, and every 3 levels thereafter, the ranger can use this ability one additional time per day. This ability replaces favored enemy.

Magic Fang on Cece and send her in to attack the undead. The pup moves 40ft.

Ling barrels forward with a yell.
I do not see any enemy placement on the map. If Ling could get there and attack with 30' movement, then he will charge and swing.

Cece rushes toward the foes, barking at the undead as it closes the distance 40 feet quickly, followed by Ling and Poindexter

DM Lil" Eschie |

Poindexter reaches the thug, his weapon ready
Cece gets a bite of the zombie, and Nala sends two arrows, the first one wounding Vendrella, the second one putting her out of the fight.
Her head slams on the table, blood gurgling out of her mouth, and she slides down on the ground, grasping at the table's cloth, sending the feast in disarray. People around her shriek and run away.
Ling slashes at the zombie in an expert and powerful strike which make the rotting corpse explode.

Ling points at the thugs weapon with his scimitar and gestures to the ground.

Rusty adds, ”It would also help your case if you shared all you knew about the disease.”

![]() |

Ling pulls out his smelling salts and (after securing her and her weapons) waves them under her nose.

![]() |

Rusty sighs with more frustration, ”She will probably try to melt our faces or something. But ok. Tie her up first.”
The Android casts stabilize and grabs some rope.

![]() |

Later, when the woman is conscious again Nabla glares menacingly at her.
"You better tell us all you know about the disease, starting right now. Spill it!"

"Smashing the basin works for me."

![]() |

Rusty seems confused, ”Why hurt the fey? I thought you all WERE the fey?”

DM Lil" Eschie |

She seems hurt by Rusty comments
Do I look like a fey? I'm a proud servant of Urgathoa!
Hearing Poindexter and Nabla
The water in the basin can cure whoever it had tainted. And I think that some of you are feeling my goddess embrace..
Ling, Navatsiyk, Nabla, Faceless Man and Cece are currently diseased

![]() |

Rusty raises an eyebrow in a very surprisingly human reaction, ”Oh. Whoops, all humanoids look and act the same. But that’s still no reason to lie about the basin. I’m pretty sure it is the source of the disease, though I don’t know if we should destroy it or not. Should probably search her too, she might be holding the actual antidote.”
The Android tries to scan the basin for magical elements.
