drbuzzard, thanks for putting the link to the map in the Campaign Info tab. Could you edit the link to use [url] tags? This forum puts a space in long strings of text every 75th character, so the link doesn't work unless we copy, paste, and then delete the space in our browser. Thanks.

It's already done! We're on slide 2 of the maps, and all six of us have icons there.

That makes sense. I was more considering the odds of making a Crocodile go blind...Hmmm.

In the morning, before I put on all my armor, I cast False Life each day. It would just last four hours for now. So would it still be up when people fall in and can I Roll it if we are still between 8 am and noon?

I may have confused bow vs stern on the map of the ship: did I put Grumpy's token on the forward-most port side railing? which means there's some kind of large superstructure on the bow -- and the mega-crossbow is pointing aft?


You are in the front (bow). The ballista is in the rear (stern). The front of a boat is generally the pointy bit.

I was wondering if the upper deck portion of the slide was reversed from the other two parts -- it's weird to have the big superstructure on the bow.

I've swapped Grumpy's position; anyway, it makes sense that the bolt ace would spend much of his day admiring the giant crossbow!


I think the ship is rather ill advised on construction, but I imagine they don't hire artists on the basis of ship knowledge.

Of course I've often noticed that their artists can't even draw a consistent grid, but that's a whole different gripe.


Since the map is not particularly self explanatory, I have indicated the stairs down with down arrows.

I am back, I am glad that no one seems to have been croc food. Sorry about not posting over the week. For some reason I could not login to Paizo from my laptop.


No sign of Biruta since Friday. I'll be forced to bot them soon.


I'm starting to think I should have outlined posting expectations when I recruited. Slow motion games annoy the hell out of me. I will punt people before I allow this game to be one of those. It's one thing to warn me that you won't be around, and it's another to just vanish. Biruta will be in bot mode for now.

Thanks for the opportunity but I'm going to bow out. I guess I didn't really understand what "beer and pretzels" meant. If we can't even try conversing with NPCs that don't come with stats provided in the AP because we won't get anything like a genuine reply in return, this isn't going to be a game for me.

I will bow out as well. While I enjoy hack and slash, it veers somewwhat too much towards that. There are players that is a better suit for and I won't take that slot.


I tend to think that if I put a 'generic half orc' t-shirt on an NPC people would not be inclined to talk to them.

Had Orthoon chatted up the coxswain, he would have had interaction. I'm not populating a world with all cardboard cutouts. I'm just not here for deep roleplaying (or even an approximation).

You know, it seems I've struck a nerve even with people who I thought liked my style. If that's the case, I think I'll just end this since it is not what people want. I don't need to put in effort for a game that nobody wants to play. We're down 3 already, and I dislike replacing people. Especially before even the second combat.

I won't be running anything further on this site since it appears I'm not compatible with it.

There is a certain humor in that the person who vanished for a week and almost got kicked killed the game. I'll chuckle about that.
