Kn Religion: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 18 + 2 = 23 Trying to figure out how to deal with undead horde with mere skills....
Does shooting skill count?

Grandmaster TOZ |

Colin recognizes that the individual undead are no threat to the party, but could still wear the Pathfinders down with sheer numbers. A skilled fighter could cleave through them while taking some damage, while area spells and the like could clear space within the building for the party to move through safely.

Flyn will await to see if Tad’s channeling can clear away some of this horde, and then look to see if he can see a portal or some other source from which theses undead are emerging…
Perception: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (19) + 30 = 49

Grandmaster TOZ |

The holy light of Sarenrae disintegrates every skeleton and zombie within its reach, leaving a clearing within the halls free of the undead. Flyn peers through the reduced horde to see an unusual item. Three legs of bone support a similar delicate shaft in an upright position. Dark energy crackles along the length, arcing out to the bodies around it. As you watch, you see more bodies rise where the arcs touch them, animated by the negative force.
If you beat the DC by 5:

Flyn nods, saying ”Aye, cover me“, in answer to Tad’s query as he makes a dash to the bone pylon while the way is clear, attempting to shut it down upon getting near…

I will shield you, Flyn.
Quenly gestures, and a ring of violet flames springs up around the ranger.
Shadow Evocation Wall of Fire, in a ring around Flyn with the hot side facing outwards. This will do 4d6+28 damage to undead passing through, as well as damaging undead within 20' of the wall. Although there's a DC23 Will save to take 20% damage, zombies and skeletons likely aren't passing that often. If the light conditions are dark or dim light, Quenly makes this a Tenebrous spell, increasing damage to 4d6+30 and the save DC to 24.

"There might be more of those artifact within. We need to disable them all." Colin will cast Extended Fly on Flyndyngylyn so that we can just get over(in terms of 3D movement) the undead hordes.

![]() |

Flyn shakes his head. ”Hold that thought, Quenly; as Colin mentions, there looks to be others like this I’ll need to disable and that spell might hinder my ability to do so…if Colin can cast fly on me, that might be best…”
Once Colin casts fly on the Elf, Flyn will fly up towards the ceiling to try and identify any more bone pylons within the Mausoleum, like the one he just disabled…

Flyn nods his appreciation to Tad again for clearing the way to the next pylon; he hurries there and warily attempts to turn it off as he did with the previous one…

Colin has one more Fly spell available should Tad wants to follow Flyndyngylyn and help clearing the path to the pylons.

Flyn flies back up to try and see if there’s yet another pylon…

Flyn sighs relief as the crackling subsides; seeing Tad partying to the Lady, he murmurs lightly, ”Give her my thanks as well, my friend…”
The Elf takes a quick look around before leaving, just in case there’s anything else of significance here…
Perception: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (6) + 30 = 36
…and if there’s nothing else to delay them here, he says to his companions, ”We should head to the Center House and check out who’s working on that door…”
He’ll lead the way there, warily until he can tell if the person at that door is friend or foe…
Perception: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (13) + 30 = 43

I vote we just press on to Center House then…the skeletons and zombies remaining shouldn’t be much of a threat to the Lodge and Tad might need to conserve some of that energy for later, considering that they’re not the last undead we’ll face…
Flyn looks to his companions. ”I think it likely that Torch was likely responsible for setting off the archon earlier…but these undead creating pylons have the stink of Vahlo and his master…come, the remaining undead here should be no match for VC Petulengro’s forces and time is of the essence…”

Grandmaster TOZ |

Approaching the Center House, you see leaning against the double doors, slumped to the flagstones leading up to the building, is a familiar halfling woman. ”Good day Pathfinders! Janira Gavix, Pathfinder agent! I’m busy right now, have to chronicle everything inside the house, can’t help you right now! If you want to cooperate, that’s our motto!” On the ground next to her are numerous broken lock picks, while in her hand is a broken short sword. She raises the blade, clearly blunted from repeated use, slashing it against the dark wood panel of the door. No mark remains from the blow, as she raises the blade once more.

Colin assesses her behavior to see what she's thinking or if she's under any influence Sense Motive: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (3) + 25 = 28

Thinking this odd behavior under the current circumstances, Flyn casts Detect Magic and the follows Colin’s lead…

Flyn frowns. "Compulsion," he murmurs before turning to Quenly and Tad. "Do either of you have a way to remove this effect?"

![]() |

"She seems to resist my spell, so we're probably not friends in her eye at the moement. If it's Suggestion then Protection from Evil won't work as well. If it's Geas/Quest then we need some powerful Remove Curse."

Tad is happy to take the lead in diplomacy, but I'm not sure what we might want her to do instead. Are we trying to get inside, and she is in the way, or is something else going on?
I'm going to go ahead and make a diplomacy roll in a spoiler, so that it can be used when we agree what to ask her to do. Aids are also welcome
diplomacy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 = 39

Colin, or actually his familiar Amiya, can automatically aid in Diplomacy with +21. Colin's most powerful spell, Heal, can't deal with whatever Janira is having now, since she's not insane or feebleminded...

Flyn nods to Tad. ”Well done, my friend…shall we head off the intruder horde now? Or should we grab that cache of magical items stored in the statue first?”

![]() |

Flyn nods in agreement, leading his friends to the statue,,,once there, he checks out the statue to try to find where they are hid within…

Amiya should be able to use those two scrolls without too much problem... Death Ward DC27 is automatic success, the special D Door requires DC38 and Amiya has +30 so 60% chance

Grandmaster TOZ |

Having retrieved the supplies, you make your way across the grounds, drawing closer to the last obvious problem plaguing the lodge. As you approach, it becomes apparent that they are crews of half-orcs. Pausing their work to regard you, a couple exchange glances before one speaks up. ”Nothing ta see here, just union business.”

![]() |

Flyn shrugs at the half-Orc speaking. ”Union business? Or union BS? Might your union leader perhaps be Grandmaster Torch?” he says, trying to get a read on these guys…

Flyn arches an eyebrow. ”At this moment, we have no beef with Grandmaster Torch as there’s a more pressing matter before us…but neither can we allow any more looting of the Grand Lodge. Thus, you need to exit, stage right…if you do not, although I hope it doesn’t come to that, we fight…your call…”
