Ummm.. I think so. I came to the city with the intention of opening a Locksmith shop, but I had to give all my seed money to Mistress Elara when Gaedren took all the money for her orphans. So I know the theory, but I haven't really picked very many locks outside of practice. There isn't a lot of need of that back home.
Bluff to cover the bit she is leaving out: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
She looks far to guilty about the money for the orphans for this to be the full story. There's more to this here.
She smiles before continuing.
But this sounds like a fun way to test the theory. Come on, quietly if you can.
Tisha sneaks out and heads to the far door, hoping that the others follow her quietly.
When she gets to the door she slides a small bag out of her belt pouch, pulls out her tools and sets about opening the lock.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Note if unlocks, she will wait for the others to join her while she puts away her lockpicks. She also steps back and draws her spear before motioning for one of the others to open the door. If the door does not unlock, she will try again if there isn't any sort of alarm going off.

"I suppose it's better than rushing in the front door to get chewed on by that dog..." mutters Narciso. He then busies himself casting message 3 times (to link with Briggi, Tisha and Ernhild).

Tish manages to silently unlock the door and open it. The others make the boards creak or creak themselves in their armor. This alerts the dog.
The floor here is slick with river water, bits of seaweed, and fish blood, and the air is thick with the accompanying scents. Wooden catwalks to the north and south allow access between the western part of the fishery and the floor of the room, which is ten feet lower. A wide opening in the floor to the south allows direct access to the sloppy, muddy water of the Jeggare River a further three feet down, while to the northwest stands an immense eight-foot-tall wooden vat, its sides caked and waterproofed with tar. Inside is a foul-looking mixture of chum, river water, and who knows what else. To the east are stacked many barrels and crates, each with a fish painted on it. Over a dozen small hammocks hang from under the catwalks, each with its own ratty blanket and pillow and an unwashed urchin.
The door to the west is open and the dog comes barking and growling down the stairs.

An intimidate check might get the orphans to abandon Gaedren? Something like "Gaedren Lamm's debts are coming due... Anyone who doesn't want to die with him should get out, now!"

Tisha Nerifaren |

Tisha whispers harshly:
Where is Gaedren Lamm and his lackies? Tell us now! Anyone who tries to defend him will be put down like Bloo. Anyone who helps us will be let out of here and given a chance at a better life.

Ernhild senses that the kids are far too shaken to answer any question, and sighs. She takes out a torch from her backpack and lights it, casting a dim light in the dark room.
"Do you have anywhere to go?" she asks. "Any family you can return to? It's not safe here."

"Hey, what's going on here. Get lost!" one of the kids hollers back and jumps out of his hammok. "Attack them!" he orders.

The kids all reluctantly get out of their hammoks and pull out knives or grab a pitchfork.

Tisha drops here spear into a ready position:
Stay back children, and I will not harm you unless you attack us.
She steps slightly farther into the room and points here spear at the boy who jumped down and ordered the others to attack.
But you are not a child. You are a gnome and most likely a pedophile who gets his rocks off watching these kids sleep. So you need to surrender or be held responsible for any real child that gets hurt!

Because I think we are about to get swarmed. Foxy before you roll attacks, I will be taking every AoO I can for anyone who comes within 10 feet of me with a drawn weapon and moves. (Max 5). Each will be Non Lethal on any kid, but lethal on the gnome.

Not that it would matter in this case, but the spear gives +2 to hit on AoO provoked by movement. I’ll note it in my sheet for future reference.

Unable to see in the dark room, Narciso pulls a sunrod and strikes it on the doorjamb. Then he steps past Enrhild, into the room.

standard action - light sunrod

I have not drawn the sunrod light radius (30' and another 30' for Low light vision) as I don't see how in the google doc... It will illuminate the whole room for Low light vision (Tisha, Narciso) and the dwarves already have darkvision.

OK, I added a ton more kids to the doc. And set the two new icons to Wrap Text and Fix Position on Page so that it can be dragged over the map.
Finally added the circle for Light. (you have to draw, create the transparent circle then save it and give it the same settings as the icon.)
Note I can't tell if this is the first round of combat or the "Attack Them" Command counts as a surprise round so the Gnome is not Flat footed so I'm going to lay out two options for the round.

@Foxy, a couple of questions before I act:
1) That door at the top of the stairs, does it open towards me or away?
2) Why has the damage on the kids changed? It used to be (1d3-1-2), and now you are rolling (1d3-1)?

Narciso the Sorcerer |

Weird door, most of them are set in a door frame and only open one way... But that does mean I can't set my longspear and jam it closed.
Narciso snaps at Briggi and Tisha "Get your shit together you pair of clowns, before we get knifed to death by the Lambs for god's sake!"
He takes a big step up the staircase, and leans his longspear against the wall. Then he unhooks his crossbow from where it hangs on the side of his pack and spans it...

I don't see you doing anything up there. Tisha fires back at the bossy half-human on the stairs.
Time for close in work... Tisha mumbles to herself as she slides her spear onto her back with her left hand and pulls out her sap with her right, holding it out for the dwarf to take. Here. Go put some of these kids to sleep before someone makes a mistake and gets really hurt.
