Description:

Tisha crouched on the rough clay tiles, looking down on the ally below. The wind, scented with woodsmoke, tugged at the midnight strands of her hair, whipping them around her pale face like wisps of ink. Her keen eyes, the color of storm clouds, narrowed as she focused on a small, flickering light in the alley below. A child, no older than eight, carried a candle through the ally below. She knew what lurked in the shadows there, ready to drag the child into Lamm's cruel embrace. With the grace her race is known for the lithe elf slowly reached out and pushed a rock off the edge of the rooftop, shifting the refuse below just enough to cause the child to stop and peer into the darkness. As the light turned away and headed back away from the ambush, Tisha's dark leather clad form was silently slinking away, secure in the knowledge that tonight, the shadows wouldn't claim another lamb.

Traits:

Heirloom Weapon - You carry an Elven Branched Spear that has been handed down through your family for Generations. Gain Proficency with that weapon
Hungry for Revenge - You have never forgiven Gaedren Lamm for what he did to you, and hunger to take revenge. Whenever you deal damage with a melee weapon to a creature who is flat footed, add a +1 Trait bonus to the damage role.

Background:

Tisha balanced precariously on a top of a roof looking out over the the Jaggare River, the stench of fish and decay a stark contrast to the fragrant pine whispers of her homeland. The city stretched out behind her, a cacophony of human shouts and clanging metal, unlike anything she'd ever experienced as a scout for the elven militia. Her fingers itched for the familiar grip of her ancestral spear, but the weapon lay abandoned in her meager lodgings, a useless comfort against the gnawing emptiness in her gut. Gaedren Lamm's cruel smirk haunted her, the gold for the half-elven children she'd sworn to protect, now lining his filthy pockets.

Panic gnawed at the edges of her resolve. How could she face Elara, the headmistress of the orphanage, her eyes brimming with the trust she'd so spectacularly betrayed? Easily distracted, aye, they'd always teased. But this, this was more than a misplaced trinket or a forgotten path. This was the hope of children, their laughter snuffed out by Lamm's avarice. The image of their tear-stained faces fueled a flicker of defiance in Tisha's chest. Lamm might have taken the gold, but she is not beaten, not yet.

Vengeance, was her only option, but the icy grip of fear threatened to freeze her into inaction. From what she heard Lamm was no petty thug, he was a viper in the city's underbelly, his reach long and his wrath merciless. Yet, the thought of the children, their small hands clutching at hope, spurred her on. She wouldn't let them down, not again. If cunning wouldn't suffice, she'd learn to be a viper too, to slither through the city's shadows and strike Lamm where it hurt most. The gulls cried overhead, their harsh calls echoing Tisha's silent vow. The hunt was on, and Desna willing she was about to become a predator in her own right.
