While Willowshore is a lovely small town, even a population of 200 is a bit much for you. Whether you grew up in the town’s outskirts, or you grew frustrated and overwhelmed with town life and decided to move to the fringes, you’re only really at home when you’re surrounded by nature. Your home is on the outskirts of Willowshore and might not even be represented by an actual building on the map. Choose two ability boosts. One must be to Dexterity or Wisdom, and one is a free ability boost. You’re trained in the Nature skill and the Hunting Lore skill. You gain the Terrain Expertise (forest) skill feat.
Backstory:
Puvuck was raised as most tengu were in a small village called Katsuga located further in Shenmen. His parents were visited by an elderly tengu ascetic master when he was still a young child and soon he ended up leaving the village and all he knew, to travel with his new teacher. The teacher who had been trained by a Sangpotshi monk named Zhi Hui had told tales of the Tan Sugi Monastery and its ancient roots. When his teacher passed on Puvuck knew he would visit this place, for which he held a spiritual connection, to pay honor to his teacher and those before him. After learning all he could he left his new home and began his journey to the Monastery when he learned of the disaster that struck, “Night of Broken Blades,” as it was coined. This filled his heart with great sadness. While he knew he lacked the experience to survive a journey there to offer amends to the restless spirits, his own spirit would not allow him to forsake them. Thus he settled here in Willowshore, eking out a meager existence fishing and trapping for sustenance and coin, while gazing up to the Monastery and his destiny.
