MONK CLASS FEATS - ABILITIES:

Dragon Stance Monk Stance
Requirements: You are unarmored.
You enter the stance of a dragon and make powerful leg strikes like a lashing dragon’s tail. You can make dragon tail attacks that deal 1d10 bludgeoning damage. They are in the brawling group and have the backswing, nonlethal, and unarmed traits.

While in Dragon Stance, you can ignore the first square of difficult terrain while Striding.

Flurry of Blows Flourish; Monk; [two actions]; Special Feature Level 1

Make two unarmed Strikes. If both hit the same creature, combine their damage for the purpose of resistances and weaknesses. Apply your multiple attack penalty to the Strikes normally. As it has the flourish trait, you can use Flurry of Blows only once per turn.

Powerful Fist Special Feature Level 1

You know how to wield your fists as deadly weapons. The damage die for your fist increases to 1d6 instead of 1d4. Most people take a –2 circumstance penalty when making a lethal attack with nonlethal unarmed attacks, because they find it hard to use their fists with deadly force. You don’t take this penalty when making a lethal attack with your fist or any other unarmed attacks.

Mountainkeeper Tengu (Heritage Feat)
You come from a line of tengu ascetics, leaving you with a link to the spirits of the world and the Great Beyond. You can cast the disrupt undead cantrip as a primal innate spell at will. A cantrip is heightened to a spell level equal to half your level rounded up. Each time you cast a spell from a tengu heritage or ancestry feat, you can decide whether it's a divine or primal spell.

Disrupt Undead: Cantrip; Necromancy; Positive
Cast somatic, verbal [two actions]
Range 30 feet; Targets 1 undead creature
Saving Throw Fortitude
You lance the target with energy. You deal 1d6 plus your spellcasting ability modifier positive damage. The target must attempt a basic Fortitude save. If the creature critically fails the save, it is also enfeebled 1 for 1 round.
Heightened (+1) The damage increases by 1d6.

SKILL FEATS:

Steady Balance General Skill; Feat Source Awarded Feat Level 1

Prerequisites: trained in Acrobatics
You can keep your balance easily, even in adverse conditions. Whenever you roll a success using the Balance action, you get a critical success instead. You’re not flat-footed while attempting to Balance on narrow surfaces and uneven ground. Thanks to your incredible balance, you can attempt an Acrobatics check instead of a Reflex save to Grab an Edge.

Terrain Expertise (Forest) General Skill; Feat Source Awarded Feat Level 1

Prerequisites: trained in Survival
Your experience in navigating a certain type of terrain makes you supremely confident while doing so. You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Survival checks in one of the following types of terrain, chosen when you select this feat: aquatic, arctic, desert, forest, mountain, plains, sky, swamp, or underground.

Special: You can select this feat more than once, choosing a different type of terrain each time.

TENGU FEATS:

Uncanny Agility Tengu; Feat Source Ancestry Feat Level 1

You have near-supernatural poise that lets you move swiftly across the most unsteady surfaces. You gain the Steady Balance skill feat. You can Step into difficult terrain caused by uneven ground, such as a rocky field or hilly incline.

With your sharp beak, you are never without a weapon. You have a beak unarmed attack that deals 1d6 piercing damage. Your beak is in the brawling weapon group and has the finesse and unarmed traits.

OUTSKIRT DWELLER BACKGROUND:

While Willowshore is a lovely small town, even a population of 200 is a bit much for you. Whether you grew up in the town’s outskirts, or you grew frustrated and overwhelmed with town life and decided to move to the fringes, you’re only really at home when you’re surrounded by nature. Your home is on the outskirts of Willowshore and might not even be represented by an actual building on the map.

Choose two ability boosts. One must be to Dexterity or Wisdom, and one is a free ability boost. You’re trained in the Nature skill and the Hunting Lore skill. You gain the Terrain Expertise (forest) skill feat.

Backstory:

Puvuck was raised as most tengu were in a small village called Katsuga located further in Shenmen. His parents were visited by an elderly tengu ascetic master when he was still a young child and soon he ended up leaving the village and all he knew, to travel with his new teacher. The teacher who had been trained by a Sangpotshi monk named Zhi Hui had told tales of the Tan Sugi Monastery and its ancient roots. When his teacher passed on Puvuck knew he would visit this place, for which he held a spiritual connection, to pay honor to his teacher and those before him.

After learning all he could he left his new home and began his journey to the Monastery when he learned of the disaster that struck, “Night of Broken Blades,” as it was coined. This filled his heart with great sadness. While he knew he lacked the experience to survive a journey there to offer amends to the restless spirits, his own spirit would not allow him to forsake them. Thus he settled here in Willowshore, eking out a meager existence fishing and trapping for sustenance and coin, while gazing up to the Monastery and his destiny.
