Goxomas is excited to look for the centaur never seeing one before.

Perrik nods in agreement.

Tain is keen on looking for Narala no need to waste time talking to the locals.

Celosia offers the courier bag to one of the larger party members as it’s almost big enough for her to be carried in.

Tain takes the satchel and begins watching for tracks along the way.

The Orc starts his own racking endeavor in friendly competition with Tain.

Mikhail begins scouting along the road looking for trouble before it finds them.

On the Granary Road:

The group heads out of town along the Granary Road. The land along the Granary Road was cut back and converted into farmland generations ago. Those of your group who are from Otari know that one of the nearest farms to the town belongs to Henk Varlin. Henk is a big, young, red-faced human who’s prone to worry. As your group moves down the road Argigoth is the first to see him standing near the road, wringing a straw hat into fibers.

GM screen:

Argigoth Track: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Mikhail Scout: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

As you get close he calls out upon spotting your group and begins in earnest with a rambling plea. “Hey there, y’all. Seeing as you’re headed up the Granary Road, I wonder if you could do me a favor? Many of the farms in the area have been damaged by strange fires. Something is suddenly setting our fences and outbuildings ablaze, so we’re thinking there’s some arsonist running amok. All the farmers look to Jala Highstepper, seeing as she’s head of the Farmer’s Guild. She’s good to get us through our troubles, and she was just here talking to me about all this. She was gonna speak to my neighbor Lavinia Shroon. Lavinia’s farm burned, killing her hogs. But see, here’s the thing. Jala was going to talk to Lavinia, and then come right back. Right back, she said. Going to my next-door neighbor just up the road, not more than a fifteen-minute walk, twenty minutes at most. I’m really worried. Could you check on her? It’ll be right on your way. Could y’all do me that kindness?” He gives you directions to Lavinia’s farm.

Tain tries to hide no small amount of irritation.

"Henk - I don't mean to be discourteous, but...fifteen to twenty minutes walk, and the same to get back. What if she stayed for a cup of tea, or they jawed about the particularly fine weather we've been having for blueberries or to swap ruminations on the best way to tan hides in midwinter? Has she met with misfortune, or is she merely...not here yet?"

Tain throws his hands in the air.

"Do we have time for this?" he asks his companions.

Mikhail comments to his companions that checking in with Shroon shouldn’t be any trouble since it is on their way.

Leaving Henk Varlin the group easily reaches the Shroon farmstead, just a quarter hour up the Granary Road.

As you arrive you see a large barn, a farmhouse, and several outbuildings come into view. The simple wooden fence around this farm has been badly burned. In the field, between a barn and a large shed, lie the charred remains of two hogs and a horse.

Both Tain and Argigoth notice unusual canine tracks just as three canine-like creatures burst out from the barn one has a fiendish look with fiery whisps. They growl at your group threateningly.

The two normal-looking canines look to the fiendish one before attacking.

Should I amend my Exploration activity score to reflect the +2 bonus? I’d prefer to leave it as is given the skill check isn’t always used in relation to Initiative.

Also, Argigoth’s header says his Perception is +6, but his character sheet says +11!?!

As the group is healing themself up Jala Highstepper and Lavinia Shroon both come out from being holed up in Lavinia’s house. Both women are grateful for dispatching the dangerous creatures. Jala explains ” The wolves chased us into the house shortly after I arrived at the Shroon’s farm and we’ve been too scared of the hell hound and wolves to make a run for it! Thank the goods you came by when you did!”

As a reward, Jala gives the heroes a healing potion lesser. Lavinia also promises the heroes a place to stay and a hot meal anytime they come by her farm.

Can he attempt to skin the canine that blasted them with fire to make a Heracles like cloak or at least get the hide to tan?

Sure survival or crafting to skin the hide.

To make a cloak we would use crafting rules. A trained Crafter DC14,
cost 5 copper prices in material and takes 3 days.

Okay, I do not have craft but I do have survival. All he would need is his dagger correct?
