Tain and Goxomas surround the remaining rat and quickly reduce it to a pile of chopped and pummeled dead rat as all their attacks hit.
Heroes who spend time Searching the storage rooms find plenty of tools and materials for maintaining and operating the fish camp (including wooden planks that could be used to repair the collapsed section of porch). Five of these are finely crafted long tools (a sledgehammer, a shovel, a hoe, and two axes) each worth 1 gp. In addition, one of the crates holds a repair kit.

Mikhail eagerly slaps some new boards on the porch while Perrik is treating Goxomas’s wounds.
Once the group has finished 10 minutes of patching the porch and patching the monk, Perrik suggests they finish exploring the outbuildings.
Mikhail puts his woodworking tools away and readies for war.
Tain moves to explore the remaining outbuilding.
Goxomas keeps his eyes open seeing two of everything.
The old smokehouse is a weathered wooden building to the west of the main camp building.
Tain goes to open the door to the smokehouse the door creaks open on battered hinges, releasing a putrid stench. Racks for smoking fish fill most of the dark space within, some still holding scraps of scale and bone. A faint sloshing sound comes from a vile-smelling puddle in the center of the floor.
The worker assigned to empty out this shed either forgot or shirked that particular responsibility and the last batch of fish set in here to smoke has long since rotted into a sludge so foul that it morphed spontaneously into some kind of ooze.
The motionless puddle in the center of the storeroom surges up and toward the light, fresh air, and sustenance.

The two waves of filth wash over Tain covering him head to toe in nasty acidic gunk with the second wave knocking him off his feet. (Not a basic save so no damage on a save and no double on a crit fail. Crit fail will add knocked prone on fail.)
Goxomas dodges the filth wave getting none of the nasty stuff on his fur.
Perrik dodges the wave of filth that comes his way.
The orc manages to avoid both waves of filth keeping himself clean and minty fresh. If you forget about the rat he was munching on for breakfast.
Mikhail is not as lucky and takes both waves of filth head-on. The nasty stuff covers him head to toe and gets everywhere in his armor. The second wave even knocks the war priest off his feet. (Just 1 & 2 damage plus knocked prone from crit.)
Tain stands up and slowly slogs forward to critically strike the green creature with his smoldering sword, unfortunately, the hit seems to do only normal damage as the creature is immune to criticals.
Goxomas Stumbles into the room to flank the green ooze before striking it twice. The creature is done for and sinks back into the filth. One dead ooze.
Perrik steps forward and successfully slaps some bandages on Argigoth keeping the Orc in one piece for now.
Standing up Mikhail sloshes forward and calls upon his god to smite the creature with a divine lance. The divine energy easily strikes the creature wounding it.

Background Info about the area:
The Kortos Consortium is a powerful lumber company with interests across the Starstone Isles. It once held a stranglehold on all the lumber interests that made the town of Otari wealthy, but several other companies, including the Whistledown Cutters lumber company owned by the Inkleholtz family, broke off from the Kortos Consortium to challenge the larger company’s influence over the region. Certain shady managers in the Consortium want their power in the Otari region back, and they aren’t above bending the law to advance the company’s interests. Nevertheless, these Kortos Consortium managers prefer to maintain plausible deniability by hiring intermediaries to perform legally dubious work.
.
Over the last few weeks, your group has gained a reputation as effective problem-solvers based on their prior adventures in Otari. While relaxing on the beach and maybe doing some fishing with your pal Ollie. You receive a message bird sent from Oloria Gallentine of Gallentine Deliveries inviting you to visit her shop for an employment opportunity.
At her large shop on Roseguard Road, the efficient and energetic Oloria welcomes the heroes. Her eyes are wide with anxiety, she speaks rapidly and breathlessly.
“Thank you so much for responding! I’m very concerned about one of my couriers—she’s long overdue. Her name is Narala and she’s a centaur. She’s extraordinarily fast, and she was supposed to come from Absalom down the Granary Road two days ago. I hope she was just delayed, but it’s not like Narala to dawdle. I fear she might have been robbed, or worse, and in need of help. She has an aggressive streak and would be all too eager to fight. I need your help to find her, and her packages, and get everything back on track.”

Underworld Lore is +5
Goxomas knows GALLENTINE DELIVERIES - Oloria Gallentine is a seventh-generation citizen of Otari and the owner of the fastest and most reliable delivery service in the area. Oloria can probably acquire anything the heroes need that they can’t find in Otari, although the price for such orders might be steep. Oloria has a regular need for reliable couriers, and she’ll known to pay heroes who seem trustworthy to deliver dangerous cargo to unusual locations.
While Gallentine Deliveries may be dangerous work it pays well. There are no known connections to any underworld organizations.

Perrik is interested once he knows the situation.
Oloria looks hopeful, ” I have a bad feeling that something horrible has happened to Narala. There hasn’t been any recent banditry, but couriers always attract the worst kind of attention, and the forests around Otari harbor predatory beasts and monsters.”
Oloria describes Narala to your group ” Centaur - horse body human from the waist up. fast.” She also explains ” I sent Narala to Absalom to pick up three parcels for people in and around Otari: one for the brewer Magiloy, the second for the former gladiator and current lumber foreman Klorte Hengus, and the third for the herbalist Abanye Nianna. I don’t know what these parcels contain, I assume nothing particularly valuable, but I could be wrong and that Narala might have been robbed for something specific in one of the parcels.”
” What I need you to do is find Narala, assist her if necessary, and aid Narala in completing her deliveries. She was supposed to come from Absalom down the Granary Road. My Customers know payment is due upon delivery your welcome to keep any payments for completing the deliveries themselves (Magiloy 10gp, Hengus 5gp, Nianna 5gp). Finding the courier Narala is the top priority. ”
Oloria comments ” If you need to talk to any of the delivery recipients in town that would be Magiloy, a corvid humanoid known as a tengu, who works at Crow’s Casks in town. Klorte Hengus is normally found at the Giant’s Wheel or its loading chute. Abanye Nianna lives outside of town, but directions to his cottage are straightforward. If you do speak to them please do your best to assure my clients that we have everything under control and that the delayed parcels will arrive as soon as possible.”
Oloria hands Celosia a large satchel with the logo of Gallentine Delivers embroidered on the bag ” All my customers know the bag logo so they would accept that as proof you are working for Gallentine. When you find Narala she should have an identical satchel with the three packages inside.“
